This was a great love of mine. You know when you hear a song for the first time and know this band is just right for you? That was The Heart Throbs. Thirty years on, this still sounds fresh.
I wrote this fucking song , with the aid of some other fuckers 30 plus years ago and I would quite like some money for all the shares etc ,, and I hate most people from the past so i am going now .. but I was fucking GREAT xxx
This song is just... too deep and too amazing, it just has a feel, and i can't put it into words any better. Just the keyboards alone... it is a very emotional song.
Still to this day one of my favorite bands and album of the 90s. Fusing my bloody Valentine with the Cocteau twins! A bit of pale saints meets monster movie.....but so original.....can be compared to others but soo way too underrated and deserved to be a driving force of 90s sound!damn original! I love this album...I love this band! Rough energetic shoegaze! Layered with such precision! One of my all time tops!
A great band that too many people have missed. 'Cleopatra Grip' is, in my humble opinion, an authentic rock/pop masterpiece. Everything is magnificent, the melodies, the arrangements, the vocals and backing vocals, absolutely everything! I've just bought the second album, ‘Jubilee Twist’, which is also well worth a listen. Well done to them!
Holy crap, I never knew this had a video! One of those songs I had on repeat but it was on cassette... So I guess 'rewind repeat'. You kids wouldn't know what that is.
The whole world Shuts down Close your eyes Stay calm It's dream time It's dream time Deep sleep Slides round Close your mouth Stay blind It's dream time It's dream time And we're so tired, so tired of everything Of snowflakes on eyelashes And all our favorite things Nightmares Of that air And who can say If they'll be friends In dream time In dream time And we're so tired So tired of everything Of snowflakes on eyelashes And all our favorite things And we're so tired So tired of everything Of teardrops on red roses Escaping dreams of sin The whole world Shuts down Close your eyes And stay calm It's dream time It's dream time And we're so tired So tired of everything Of snowflakes on eyelashes And all our favorite things And we're so tired So tired of everything Of teardrops on red roses Escaping dreams of sin
Just hearing this for the first time today...no idea how I missed this completely til now...Really diggin it. Looking them up next. Thanks so much for the great post.
"And we're so tired, so tired of everything..." Thank you for introducing me to amazing music like this in the early 1990s. I go to sleep every night hoping to see you again in "dreamtime"...
30 years and I could not love this song more.
Most underrated song ever
Melancholic masterpiece
I always thought about this song. 32 years later, I'm glad I found it.
I had this on cassette tape when I was 14. Loved the whole album

I always felt this band was underrated.
It seemed like I was the only fan since I never came across another person that ever heard of them.
I discovered *The Heart Throbs* album _"Cleopatra Grip"_ at the same time as *The Darling Buds* album, _"Crawdaddy."_ Talk about a great pairing! 🥰🎶💜
Listened to them over and over on tape.
December 24 now and i remember i see live this brilliant group here in Greece. Amazing time💜
I actually found this cassette tape years ago outside my house in Belfast. Fantastic slbum
Love the chorus. Songs like this shouldn't be forgotten. From the era of great music this one slipped under the radar somewhat.
From my favorite Album in 1990 Cleopatra Grip. This, Blood from a stone, She' s in a Trance and Kiss me when I'm starving are great.
Queen of the Indie Rock
19 when this song came out
They were perfect. Three great albums. I miss them.
One of my favorite bands of all time. They did three GREAT albums and vanished off the face of the earth.
Love the first two but maybe I’ll revisit the third.
@@PatrickJaybeeFelt the same. Ever do the revisit?

Such a fantastic group. I have to get my CDs out again. Why no radio station plays them, I'll never know!
Dreamtime is FINALLY on Apple Music. An essential track on your Alternative playlist.
So underrated and underappreciated. One of their best songs to date!

One of my absolutely favorite bands.
Amazing song. I need a time machine...
One of my favorite albums while serving in the Navy in the early 90's.
Remembered seeing them at Bogarts in Long Beach, CA way back when...
KROQ played them once at like 2 am and I recorded it on a mix tape. Had no idea who they were til now.
KROQ used to play this awesome song. "Jed the Fish" played it often
Love this ENTIRE album
I made a new playlist just for this song. Very good, I didn't know of that band
Most underrated song ever
Very, very underrated, in my opinion...
Excellent video of an awesome song from a brilliant, under-rated and overlooked group!
There is something about this band that radiates good energy and vibrations
Wish it was on Spotify 😩
Most underrated song ever
On a 500+ mile drive and for whatever reason this tune popped into my head. Forgot how good it is 😀
This was a pretty big hit on Modern rock radio a year or so before Nirvana crashed through.
Que joya por Dios ❤
The whole world
Shuts down
Close your eyes
Stay calm
It's dream time
It's dream time
Deep sleep
Slides round
Close your mouth
Stay blind
It's dream time
It's dream time
And we're so tired, so tired of everything
Of snowflakes on eyelashes
And all our favorite things
Nightmares
Of that air
And who can say
If they'll be friends
In dream time
In dream time
And we're so tired
So tired of everything
Of snowflakes on eyelashes
And all our favorite things
And we're so tired
So tired of everything
Of teardrops on red roses
Escaping dreams of sin
The whole world
Shuts down
Close your eyes
And stay calm
It's dream time
It's dream time
And we're so tired
So tired of everything
Of snowflakes on eyelashes
And all our favorite things
And we're so tired
So tired of everything
Of teardrops on red roses
Escaping dreams of sin

The best shoegaze song from the 90's! Curve Horror Head is second....
Adorable singer. Looks like the child of Goldie Hawn and Brian Jones.
すんげーいい。
I'm tired of 2021 😴
Deberían volver y grabar nuevas canciones a pesar de que tengan una edad
A pearl. A really shiny pearl at that...
This is great but She's in a Trance will always be my favorite.
"Perry Said" for me is just haunting.
