Hi thank you for the solution. I had checked many solutions before this but all the settings were correct and still my macbook camera was not working. Today because of this video i realized that i had tuned on the screen time setting and disabled the camera access in the app restriction setting. The camera is now working fine. I have online job interview and I wanted to fix this issue ASAP. Thanks for your help.

Thank you! I watched quite a few not so helpful videos that actually had terrible solutions. With yours it took to like solution number four or five where the little toggle in that stupid screen time setting was off (hard to see/notice). I like hammers, they're simple. You made my month long problem go away. Good on you.
