    Those Butterflies were beautiful. I love too that even after crushing the miles and spending all that time sleeping rough you manage a date night. That is so sweet. Whilst I agree that when you get to Canada you are doing it for you, but you have done it for us to, those like me who look out with anticipation for your videos to drop and live vicariously through them. So whilst there are no physical rewards, no social accolades by posting these videos you have touched so many people and so many lives. I can tell you that your videos uplift me, give me something to look forward to and help me get through what is a tough time at the moment. So posting these videos has a tangible affect on others more than you can ever know. Thank you for the smiles, the laughs and for the ride. You have made a difference and you two are an amazing couple.

    I hiked the Wonderland Trail with my dad a couple weeks ago and wanted to make a video about it. I was so tired I quit filming on day 2! So props to Cassie and Rob for continuing to film this whole time AND editing and posting. I love your videos and you both inspire me so much to do the PCT.

    Hope wellness and safety prevails after each drop of gritty trail sweat and with every rocky, dusty step that touches ground. You two are awesome. Outstanding hosts, storytelling, video editing and music selection. Thanks so much.

    I'm glad I don't go hiking on the PCT cause I would never leave. I would just camp next to one of those beautiful lakes and stay forever. I'd be featured on the Missing 411 channel to boot.

    Wow Cassie, I'd never seen anyone with NEON white skin before. I guess that's what months of having a pack on your shoulders will do to you..... and Rob seems almost giddy!! He seems to be breathing easy so maybe that helps. Nice that you dodged the fire!! 30+ miles of road walk would seriously suck. Keep on steppin' you two!!!

    Love the scenery of this section. Some of the mountains are so craggy. What phones/resolution are you using on your phone? The clarity is much better than most.

      Do you recall the settings you used when recording. 1080 or 4K and frame rate 60 fps? Thanx !!!

    • @HeadingSomewhere
      @HeadingSomewhere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were shooting 1080 for the vast majority of it. There were parts of certain days with wide scenery that I bumped them up to 4K in case I use the footage elsewhere. Shooting 30 frames - this is a memory space decision.

    What fire were you 2 near? This is one of my fears as a very newbie wilderness backpacking, getting caught up in a wildfire. One of my goals is to do the PCT all the way through. My boyfriend and I are hiking next month castle crags dome via the PCT.

    • @HeadingSomewhere
      @HeadingSomewhere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t recall the name of it, it ended being a small fire that was contained pretty quickly thank goodness! Castle crags area is gorgeous, happy trails!

    Hi You TWO (smiles & hugs) First, A belated "CONGRATUALATIONS" for making it to the "MIDDLE". I'm sure by now this "place" is far behind in your rear view mirrors. However, it can never be far behind in your "memory files", unless, you choose it to be. (wink)
    Looking for a phone signal? Finding a phone signal......
    Surely, you're aware that we've made more technological progress in the past 75 years than in-----ALL of human history before that. Do you imagine that everything from CAT scans to supersonic flight to computer chips you imbed in your body to regulate your heart all came -----from the mind of man?
    Yes!!!
    Then why didn't man think them up thousands of years before now?
    I don't know. The technology wasn't available. One thing leads to another. It's all a process of evolution.
    But, the "BEGINNING" technology wasn't there, until, it was.
    Do you TWO find it strange that in this billion-year process of evolution, somewhere around 75 to 100 years ago there was a huge "comprehension explosion"? Do you see it outside the pattern that many people now on the planet have seen the development of everything from radio to radar to radionics ----in their lifetime?
    Do you TWO get that what has happened here represents a----quantum leap? A step forward of such magnitude and such proportion as to defy any progression of logic? Or not. (wink)
    "THANK YOU BOTH" for your eyes & thoughts along this beautiful & wonderous PCT Trail. (BIG hugs)
    GOD BLESSES ALL.
