The Netherlands have been in my top 10 for the last 4 contests, looks like they'll be up there again this year. Seriously though, I really like this song and am so pleased that the Netherlands have chosen this.

Slow Down is doing very well in the Nordic previewshows. In Finland they ranked it 4th out of all the entries and in the first Icelandic previewshow they gave 35 out of 40 points, which means he got the most points yesterday and is their number 1 atm.

Ever since I first heard this song, I fell in love with the song and Douwe Bob's voice, I wish songs like this would win Eurovision for once. After 2019's Eurovision, I listened to It again and felt the exact same as I did when I watched It live, Douwe Bob's music as a whole is just what I needed and I hope more people find interest in him and his music.

this is my favourite. this year i keep hearing the same things OVER and OVER again.... it's all the same computer made pop without any soul in it... beats that make you wanna sleep instead of dance, songs that miss the meaning of pop, lyrics that feel like they were written in two minutes.... this song is different. it's so simple yet so fresh and relaxing. no need for computer made sounds when you have a guitar and some drums. i wish there were more songs like this on this year.

You cannot even imagine how amazing for me it was to watch this perfomance at the Euroviosion Contest. I've been a huge fan of Douwe Bob since I heard him singing 'Hold me now' with Anouk for the first time. His voice is so warm and clear but at the same time very emotional that I could listen to him every single day... Netherlands, thank you for such talented Douwe Bob. Honestly, he deserved to be on the top. 12 points from Poland obviously!
THIS IS GREAT! Sounds like The Eagles! I'm from the American West and I always get a little worried when I hear someone enters country music in Eurovision - because that's basically my culture's folk music and I judge it really harshly, but The Netherlands has been cranking out some GREAT country the last few years between this and The Common Linnets. Seriously - these people need to hit the American charts - they understand the traditional aspects better than some of the modern country artists who are trying to innovate (The Brits have been doing the best Blue Eyed Soul the last few years, let the Dutch do it with country!)

Yeah the Dutch would get 12 points from America a lot. Although Denmark has put out a lot of stuff that sounds like it would play here too - and Australia has a lot of similarities (they actually have their own country music scene too, so I'm really hoping they send a big Aussie country artist if they stay in the competition in the future). And I think this year has so much fast paced music because last year everyone said there were too many ballads. So now we get the opposite extreme.

this is my favourite. this year i keep hearing the same things OVER and OVER again.... it's all the same computer made pop without any soul in it... beats that make you wanna sleep instead of dance, songs that miss the meaning of pop, lyrics that feel like they were written in two minutes.... this song is different. it's so simple yet so fresh and relaxing. no need for computer made sounds when you have a guitar and some drums. i wish there were more songs like this on this year.

You cannot even imagine how amazing for me it was to watch this perfomance at the Euroviosion Contest. I've been a huge fan of Douwe Bob since I heard him singing 'Hold me now' with Anouk for the first time. His voice is so warm and clear but at the same time very emotional that I could listen to him every single day... Netherlands, thank you for such talented Douwe Bob. Honestly, he deserved to be on the top. 12 points from Poland obviously!

I'm from the American West and I always get a little worried when I hear someone enters country music in Eurovision - because that's basically my culture's folk music and I judge it really harshly, but The Netherlands has been cranking out some GREAT country the last few years between this and The Common Linnets. Seriously - these people need to hit the American charts - they understand the traditional aspects better than some of the modern country artists who are trying to innovate (The Brits have been doing the best Blue Eyed Soul the last few years, let the Dutch do it with country!)
+Adam Brickley i totally agree. esspecially this year you can see alot of fastpace music: everything except of country music. If the United states would participate too, they would get 12 points from you every year haha. afterall, i hope he will win.
Yeah the Dutch would get 12 points from America a lot. Although Denmark has put out a lot of stuff that sounds like it would play here too - and Australia has a lot of similarities (they actually have their own country music scene too, so I'm really hoping they send a big Aussie country artist if they stay in the competition in the future). And I think this year has so much fast paced music because last year everyone said there were too many ballads. So now we get the opposite extreme.
