Just purchased fabric Xl when it was on sale. Found out they only allow 3 licenses. I have 2 Mpc’s & 2 computers. So now I have to purchase another license just to use it on the 2nd computer. Why not allow us to put the license on an ilok ? Thanks Akai! 😤
Yes and no. The MPK MINI 3 is just a MIDI controller and not a fully standalone unit like an MPC however it does come with MPC BEATS. MPC BEATS Only comes with 3 built in instruments which are Bassline, Electric, and Tubesynth. If you want access to more instruments you can purchase the VST VERSIONS of these instruments or upgrade MPC BEATS to 2.0.

@@soundofmai Oh ok. I just looked over it again. Your're right. It is the desktop plugin version in the inMusic Control Center. It is also not there in the Synth Content Manager. I'm going to see if I can get this fixed but it should show up on the MPC in Activate plugins. If it is not there then log out of your account on the MPC and refresh it to make sure you are logged out. You might have to restart the power. Then log back in and possibly refresh it again and the newer stuff should show up. It had a big delay at first but it is a lot faster now. Usually.
@@GhettoStyles Thanks again man. It actually does show up on the MPC, but there's an error when I try to download it there even though I'm able to activate it there. I think the problem is that I'm living in Shanghai and maybe the download is blocked here. So it seems there is no way I can get it unless I can find a way to get it to appear in the Synth Content Manager.

I did already reach out to Akai about it so hopefully that can be addressed but I cannot give a time frame. Also on another thought. I have seen people who have had problems with downloads on the MPC One from using the wrong USB cable or the wrong power supply cable. I have seen that different power cables will fit but it it is not the correct wattage sometimes downloads give an error. I believe the official power cables are 19watts. In your case in Standalone the USB cable should not matter though. Definitely worth checking if you have multiple devices with similar plugs. They could be mixed up.

@@Cougar88888 welcome. I didn’t check to see if Jura was there. Also you might want to log out of your account on the MPC in standalone then power cycle it. Log back in and refresh. Then Jura might activate and download correctly for Standalone. They have been making a lot of changes to the system lately and it’s still a little finicky sometimes.
I have a problem I need your help with. I updated 2.11.4 unto my mpc x. When I download a sample every thing was good until I try manually slice it. When in manual the sample won't play unless I hold the pad the entire time so it won't slice . if I use region's it we slice but each slice won't play unless I manually hold it down from the start to the end of each slice.
The first thing that comes to mind is you might have the sample program set to "NOTE ON" which means you have to hold to pad down to play the entire sample or basicly it only plays as long as you have a finger on the pad. Try switching the sample program to "ONE SHOT" then the sample should play the whole thing on on tap of the pad and not a tap and hold.
@@jeanlouiscoquin3743 there are several VSTs that come with your MPC that will only work when connected to a computer and running the software. Xpand, Velvet, DB-33, and a few others under optional virtual instruments. A lot of people ignore these because they do not currently work in STANDALONE but they are good sounds.

@@Cody-p8y hopefully you purchased with the same email as your inMusic account. Also check your email for a confirmation and a serial number. Registration of that serial to your inMusic account should fix it. You have to double click that zip file to extract it to a folder 📁 then go into that folder and double click the install file. If it’s registered to your inMusic account you can also open the MPC software and go to Activate Plugins and download and install it from there.

I’m not sure what plugins you have but as of the release of 2.11.6 there was two new plugins that were made available. It could be those. If you don’t want those notifications you can click don’t show again.
If you are referring to STANDALONE no you cannot install non Akai plugins for standalone at this time but if you are using it in controller mode connected to a computer you can use almost any non Akai VST you want.

If you're on 2.11 its almost always a good idea to update to the latest version, if you are worried about bugs it's the new minor versions you wanna wait to update not so much each new revision.

@@sundalo916 no. You would need to do the ones you already have, just the OPx4.

Will this process work for 3rd party plug ins like Native Instruments Komplete?
Native instruments Komplete will not work inside the MPC in Standalone but it works perfectly fine if you use Controller Mode connected to a computer.

hi, On my Akai account I discovered Xpand!2, can you tell me if if I can add this to the Synths directory on My Akai ?
Currently Xpand!2 and the other VSTs you get for free in your Akai account only work in CONTROLLER or COMPUTER mode.

You download it from your inMusic account. The login is the same as what you have with the AkaiProfessional website.

2.11.4 is mostly bug fixes and GUI changes. Nothing new was added.
