Hello! Dave Clark Director here! I'll keep answering any questions in the comments since the chat ended!
Nice job. May I suggest that you develop that short piece using more informative conversational elements. It helps the audience be invested in the characters.
Much success!
It was alright idk
actors are not ai generated are they?
Great as always! What did you use to get those Kaiber’esque shots ?
@@idrivegifts7944 that was a combo of ComfyUI and AnimateDiff
It's sad how some people are so against AI and stuck in their ways; they're not opening their minds to the greatness of the creations. AI is the future, so you better get used to it and embrace it. Tyler Perry didn't halt production of his 800-million-dollar studio for nothing. Anyways, this was impressive.
Thank you! I rather be part of the change and not on the sidelines. 🎉
Btw just subscribed to your channel. Ha it’s awesome!
Well said!
If you think the future is taking mediocre ideas and slapping unimpressive, derivative/stolen works on top of them, then your knowledge of art and film are probably as deep as a Tyler Perry film. This film was beyond bad.
I'm speechless!
This was so good and was definitely worth 6 LONG days of waiting to watch it!
I can not wait for who ever will make the leap and use A.I. in a full length movie and after seeing your work on this I hope it will be you.
Amazing compliement. Thank you!
Thanks so much for waiting and tuning in with us! We appreciate it!
Just wait until SORA.
This is honestly the best horror short I've seen. It wasn't cringe or ridiculous. It had the best use of AI video I've seen and it looks way better than cgi, plus good acting. And that scene where multiple versions of her slowly creep in was actually pretty creepy. I love this and I'm saving it to my playlist for historical purposes. Hopefully you'll do more stuff with AI?
Ty! Yes that’s the plan for sure to do more and longer content!
This is why a fran dresser is against AI or maybe because it gives filmmakers who wants to start out in the business a little bit something in the way a budget to set their film it's a tough market in AI cuts that down to half a weekend project cuz everybody got jobs during the week.. AI evens The cutting feel for aspiring directors
Thanks so much for watching and engaging with us, JB. Dave is always pumping out exciting new AI work :)
Are you physically blind? It looks way better than CGI? Come one dude… I know all you AI grifters have zero eye for art and no creative bones in your bodies…but let’s chill on the delusion a bit.
To be honest, the build up to climax felt flat since there is nothing for us to root for the main characher + the resolution doesn’t offer anything but an attempt at jumpscare. In the end, the A.I. presented its potential to be a worthy tool in filmmaker’s arsenal but when intentionally used as a vehicle to tell the story, it just comes off as cheap effect, which pulls the audience out of the story.
Like Deakins says in regards to cinematography: “If audience doesn’t notice, you done your job.”
Thanks for watching
@@Afraid2Sleep keep up the work man, you are on a right track. You are exploring the limitations of A.I. and with each film you are one step closer to get it right. Your work here is important. God bless you
We appreciate you tuning in to watch, Daniel.
Incredible work!
Thank you! Cheers!

The scene at minute 2 and onward is so CRAZY REALISTIC!!!! oh my amazing work Dave Clark!!!

Good thing this is a short film... Cuz I might have a heart attack if it was a full length feature. Good job man. I'm terrified and I'm actually watching this with the sun out.. the effects and acting is awesome
Thank you so much! Ha!
Thanks so much for watching, Blackklash! Glad you enjoyed Dave's masterpiece!
Excellent work Dave. This is just the beginning. This is how filmmaking with AI will be done!
And it's still only early 2024, we can't wait to see what content comes out by the end of this year! Things are moving fast :)
This means alot coming from you! Thank yu!
@@Afraid2Sleep I’m just trying to be like you! 🙏
the age of AI is beginning 💻🎬👽
Yesss!
2024 is going to be a big year :)
Unfortunately…
Niiiccce!!! I've been really waiting for this one. The AI elements blend pretty well into the live-action, and of course the hallucinatory/nightmare nature of these scenes make even the imperfections of current state of AI work pretty damn good. Looks like "the future of filmmaking" is kind of already becoming the present of filmmaking, hehe ;) PS, I'm getting some Mulholland Drive and overall "Lynchian" vibes from this, with diner scene, doppelgangers and such, I don't know if it was intentional, but either way it's awesome!
Ahhh now that you say that, I can see those connections too. Thanks for watching, Alexey!
Thank you Alexey!
As long as we can keep Congress at about f****** bedrooms and out of our creativity when it comes to filmmaking we'll get there that it worth something that I didn't like the cartoonism of the heart and all that s*** that could have been doing a bunch of 15 year olds with a webcam and if he made the AI more realistic that's my only criticism
Sora will be able to do this until the end of 2024. Excinting times ahead! EVERYBODY can be a filmaker, a whole STUDIO alone!
Definitely exciting times 🎉🎉
2024 and 2025 are going to be crazy! :)
True but that won't really be filmmaking , it's just taking away the soul and sanctity from the art. One will only be a prompter not a Filmmaker no matter what
@@zaarism They would still need a lot of creativity and good story telling abilities to make something good with tools like SORA
Great work 👏
this was WILD
Thanks!
It's amazing, isn't it!
Super cool. Love seeing the pieces put together with AI

This is a wonderful way for weekend film directors to devote more time to their project and a cost saving measure going to do in the week everybody that they regular jobs wherever that is
Let’s make history! 🎉🎉
LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!
Hey man, I'd love to work with you on some projects.
It was well done but I'm still waiting for that moment where it gets fully integrated into the story, rather than presented as a gimmick. I think it could have been pushed a lot further.
We appreciate you watching, Christopher.
I appreciate your efforts. Every short brings us closer.
This is the best AI Generated film I have ever seen. Amazing work
So glad you enjoyed this!
Damn i was really hoping for something longer.
Don't worry, Dave has plenty of awesome projects to come ! :)
Right here, folks, we're at the dawn of something amazing-a new age where freedom and art blend into endless possibilities. Big shoutout to Dave for leading the way! This is absolutely fantastic.
Appreciated! Thanks for watching.
Well said! Dave is the man!
How do you deal with this issue: "For a product to be copyrighted, a human creator is needed. AI-generated content can't be copyrighted because it isn't considered to be the work of a human creator."
As long as you write it and only use AI to enhance it, it can be copyrighted.
Thanks for the response!
Wow Dave!!!
Thank you Paula!

Great work, Melissa!
A high-quality ai production that led to an impressive ending
Thanks for watching!
I can't wait to see this!!!! Nice it opens after T2 Remake! Sweet! I'm hoping to get Spider Gates Cemetery out for October I want fall release but there's so much work still in the writing phase. But that LTX studio looks pretty promising so that might be a huge help with streamlining the workflow once I start production. I'm really digging this approach mixing live action with AI. I've been using HyperHuman ChatAvatar to create 3D characters from AI characters that I trained on my friends and then ran a Face swap to ensure they looked just like them, then ran that through HyperHuman for a realistic 3D model. I'm hoping to use Unreal Engine to build out the world using AI for the concept. What an amazing time we're living in huh? I'm pretty pumped to see your finished product man, it's one of the best looking AI pieces I've seen since T2 😊
Can’t wait for you to check it out. Sounds like you are doing amazing things too!!
@@Afraid2Sleep it's been a wild ride and a met a ton cool people along the way. Being a part of this AI and 3D community has been an amazing experience. I've learned so much over the past few years and the talented people I've met along the way had been worth the admission alone. This first idea is both my passion and a run to see how people react. I have many other ideas in the pipeline and if SGC does decently, I might green light my next project Little Miss Adventures Diary of Yumi Hirokima my Saturday morning style anime cartoon. But keep an eye out for that T2 remake, it drops on LA on the 6th and then on AI television on the 9th as an all day stream. Trust me, there's not gonna be any kind of shortage on this kinda content. We about to go hard up in this piece!!!!
Wow sounds like you have some amazing projects going on. We're excited to see that some time :)
@@curiousrefuge yessir, hey awesome to see you and my buddy Tim get together, would love to see more collabs between you guys that was pretty awesome! And is there a way to see the thing you guys did in LA in its entirety?

Leaving the story aside for one second, I am sure this saved you some time in post but, may I ask, how much? none of this effects seem insanely complicated to do traditionally and you would have gotten better results overall.
The look is definitely AI and unfortunately for me it left me thinking that this feels more like a showcase of the limitations of AI workflows and its use cases.
Not sure if it is a very successful tech demo but either way Kudos for the work. The film is quite creepy :)
You didn’t suck up and pander to his AI grift, so he won’t be answering your thoughtful, and frankly valid, question.
AI actors are so natural !!
lol they are real actors. There were AI shots sometimes, but most of it was real footage
This was a mix of Live Action and Generative AI (LiveGen); the actors here are all real :)
Yep a hybrid! Which I think will be the near future of filmmaking as the AI tech gets better.

Excellent movie!! My only gripe is why would I run away from a busy open area with lots of people into a dark, creepy closed space and then ask for help 😅
Ahaha fair point. My logic was she was so terrified she thought running inside what she thought would be a crowded office would be safe. Little did she know…
We'll never go down a another staircase again :)
@@Afraid2Sleepdude, thank you for taking the time to reply. The movie is awesome. I was especially creeped out when her friend called her name and she was standing there with her face out of frame. That was really creepy 😅

Howdy! If y’all have questions about the vfx let me know. Happy to discuss.
Hi Rob. Great work on the visuals. Could you tell me which AI tools you used? If you could also mention whether they were paid or free, that would be great. I’m trying to understand what sort of AI tools I would need to make my own short film. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@@Pacmanian I used mostly Comfyui. I did use midjourney on one image because I was too lazy to spin up my comfyui. Really it was about the marriage of traditional vfx and generative work. I used photoshop, after effects, resolve, and nuke. Generative tools assisted me in a lovely way but they were about 30% of the solution.
Amazing work, Rob!
@@Pacmanian Apologies for the late reply. I had written and sent it but for some reason it didn't make it to you. I used ComfyUI for nearly all of it. I generated one thing in Midjourney. Implementation was a mixture of After Effects, Resolve ,and Nuke.

Written by AI ?
AI was used to help with the plots of the overall script. Yes! A combo of chat gpt and Claude AI. However this was based on a full length feature that was written prior to
@@Afraid2SleepI loved the generated visuals of this short, but I pray to God you hired some real humans to write the feature. It was really had to watch through the 30 seconds of the dialogue in this film.
@@ManasSirakanyan I wrote the Feature (a human) which is a different bigger storyline. I also wrote the short dialogue which I think turned out great.
@@ManasSirakanyan What are you even talking about? The writing is excellent, and that's coming from a seasoned fiction writer. Also, AI isn't bad at writing; I have no idea where people get that idea from.
@@Afraid2Sleep I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend. that's why I asked if AI was used for the script.
