Hello Sir, Your video was of great, great help to me even though we speak different languages. Thank you for your troubles. I posted a comment previously concerning you dry firing your air rifle. I understand now this was an instructional video and very kind of you to post. I jumped out of my chair when you dry fired your air rifle. I am working on my late father's air riflle in .177 calibre. I have sleeved the piston and spring guide to reduce the buzz/twang and also made a top hat for the spring. I purchased a new piston seal made from modern materials. I will polish the piston and internals then re assemble. I'm so looking forward to seeing how it shoots. Thank you again for your help. Ps. I appologise, I didnt mean to be rude in my previous comment. Its just, my air rifles are my heartbeat and adore them. Thank you.
I use a relasable cable tie to hold that top spring in place till the sprin compressor has it inside the tube enough to hold it on place the n remove it.
Boa tarde.
Hello Ian, as you don't understand my language, Portuguese, it's normal that you misunderstood, however the gun was damaged and was destined for the trash, I just used it to explain on video how to reassemble it. Thanks for your comment.
@JGSairguns I see, thank you for your reply. Firing an air rifle with no pellet inside is just about the worst thing you can do for the health and well-being of your air rifle. It just seemed ludicrous when you'd gone to all that trouble to assemble it.

Is the black thing supposed to go sideways a little bit?
Hallo.
Good morning, the string was left there, I didn't remove it. You can stay as it won't cause any problems. But if you want, you can remove it.
Feliz ano
Feliz ano novo Never, obrigado.
You go to all that trouble of re assembly, then dry fire the unit.
That just beggars belief.
