I would be interested in an episode about store picks. Not which to buy, but how a store get store picks. Do Kentucky stores get first in line or does the process work the same her in Georgia. Are store picks almost always better? When do you pass them up?
Disagree about the Old Scout I have a Ohio Liquor License pick from this year that is awesome and at the price point of around 50 cannot get better for that. It's a butterscotch bomb and it has a great spice with tea notes. Don't sleep on them at all store picks/State picks are great
I wish Old Crow was brought back to it's prior glory before Jim Beam bought them in the mid 80's . When I started drinking bourbon 50 + years ago it was good juice, now its a different recipe and is not good at all. 👍😉🥃
@bourbonkingdom how do you tell which MM are the 'good' old ones? Will they all have the different color wax or is it just a specific band of years? Thx for the info
Haven’t had the Boone County wheated 8yr but I got a sealed one in the cabinet. Have always wanted to try it before cracking but haven’t ever seen it at a bar! How would u compare it to WFP? Or is there anything else you’d compare it to?
I don't think I've seen any super hard-core bookers fan. Most bookers as of recent have been awful from what's been spread on the TH-cams. Mainly because they're like $100+ for something subpar.
I have really liked all the Booker’s I have tried. I had samples of all of last year’s releases and loved them. I bought my first one this year 2024-01 and love it. I honestly don’t get why they get shit on so much on TH-cam.
Seems like Bookers and Woodford Batch Proof both get that treatment on TH-cam for some reason. I love them both! Would love to see these guys review the 121.2 2024 Batch proof. I had to run out and grab a backup because I liked it so much but the reception on TH-cam has been lukewarm.
Yeah I never had either, just because there's other recommendations for that 140$ price point I'd rather pick up and try. They're both 139.99 pre tax up in my area in WA. And for half the price I can get a JD SBBP being my high proof Ole reliable always consistent. Although I may try a Woodford batch proof because I do enjoy brown-forman alot!

Minor by comparison, but I wish the Russell’s 10 was still like it was three years ago. The new lower red label stuff just doesn’t cut it in my book.
I have purchased a couple empty Chessmen for decoration, I wish I would stumble on one that was still full!
