This false religion kept me in bondage for 28 years. I was not led to Jesus, I was not led to the bible, and I was not filled with the Holy Spirit. I was taught to do vain traditions and outright idolatry. Thank God I am free from this dead church. I am born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. I know my redeemer now. His name is Jesus and He deserves the praise. Not mary, not saints, not the pope, not the priest. O thankyou Jesus for the work you have done in my life. I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED ON!
Brother DJ Thanks for ur comment. Update 2020 from my comment 3 years ago, I was raised Baptist which in my experience was full of man-made rules and traditions such as; voting people in whether they could join the church and / or be baptized, dress code, etc. I knew something was not right about that, I struggled so much with whether I was truly saved because even though they say “once saved, always saved” they continually threw out comments like; well if he starting drinking again he just didn’t really get saved. It was so confusing, “did Jesus die for all sin or only until you got saved?” So I started looking into other Christian faiths. I knew God is the one true God and Jesus is His son and the one and only savior but where to serve and go to church ? I searched and found a comfort in the Catholic faith and I think it was cause it is (even though a baptist would very angrily disagree) very close to Baptist faith. But with all that searching I found a Christian Church called Crossroads from Cincinnati, Ohio and I now know what Freedom in Christ truly is! I have a strong faith and relationship with him. I want to please him but know if I fail He still loves me and I am still His child. I no longer judge others the way the Baptist church taught me. Each has to walk his own path with the Lord. I am FREE. :D and I would agree that the Catholic Church is a lot of religion but for some it may be where they serve and love him best but for me, I needed a walk that is more free. In Christ!
@Brother DJ I'm happy for you that you are at peace now with your new religion. We as catholics do now spew negative criticism towards our fellow christians, afterall the teaching of our church is to love one another. Whatever religion you have now is a branch of Catholilism. The very bible that your reading right now was compiled by catholic monks. Our religion was established after the death of Jesus Christ. Peace be with you.
@Steubenville Conferences There seems to be an issue with the volume of the last three conferences I've watched. The sound volume is very low. Love your conferences, BTW.

"Defending the Faith" Why? It is tantamount to admitting that the left hand is not aware what the right hand does. If adherents LIVE THEIR FAITH, what is there to defend?
Have you never encountered anyone that thought what you believed was a bunch of lies? It is also important to not only live out your faith, but figure out why you believe what you do. For how can you live your faith if you don't know why you believe in it?
Windy Here I'm still learning about my Faith and I'm sorry if I offended you, I just didn't understand your reasoning. Shouldn't you know why you believe something and be able to defend it if you are going to live it out?
Amazing and profound. I have felt the calling to be Catholic for a little over a year now. This really helped my journey. Thank you!

Julia Lindell Do you know what Faith means before you even question me?

we are commanded to be able and ready to provide a sound and reasoned argument for the hope we have in Christ
Georgian sounds a lot like Carolinian. Also, I used to live in Augusta.
