Doom (2016) Helped Me Get Over My FPS Fatigue

Ok, so I know Doom Eternal literally JUST came out, but here's a video on how Doom 2016 helped relieve some of my FPS fatigue!
It's a tiny departure from my usual videos, but I hope y'all enjoy regardless!
And yes I did steal that Sylveon joke straight from Clemps' "Things I Loved in 2019" video.
I started using a new editing program for this one, DaVinci Resolve, but so far it's gone pretty well... Except for a couple of crashes that cost me some hours of work that is...

I like how you highlighted the similarities to Metroid Prime. Both Prime and DOOM 2016 are some of my all-time favorite games, and I think I've always felt the similarities, but not quite connected the dots. Great video!

Another shooter I really wished I hadn't dismissed as "just another Call of Duty" is Titanfall 2, it's outstanding movement system and level design make it so much better than most shooters.

I tried to play Titanfall 1 in the midst of my FPS fatigue but quickly got tired of it. Maybe I'll go back and try to play it again 🤔

@@FromHerotoZeroYT I can't speak for the first since I never played it, but 2 actually has a campaign unlike the first one and it's certainly worth checking out.
Edit: Whoa, it just came out om Steam today, what timing!

I think I love DOOM because of nearly the same reasons you do. Also the music is amazing in my opinion lol. I cannot wait to play DOOM Eternal when I buy it

The music is so good, but trying to use it as background for the video made me realize it's only truly amazing in the context of the game
I don't want to burn myself out again however from what I've seen of Eternal I can't wait to play it!
