I don’t understand how D Griff still has a job. He focused his entire rebuild on “right type of humans” and they have all quit on the city at this point. Just stop raving about Yves Missi!!!! His plus minus BY FAR the worst for NBA centers. How bad? He's at -213, 44 points worse than the 2nd worst (JV). The best: Evan Mobley +247 (Jokic is 3rd at +186). So Missi is around 300-400 points worse than the best centers. That is formidably horrific. Way the F behind Mobley, Jaren Jackson, Jokic, Sengun, Towns, Zubac, Lively, Horford. Yes the team is bad, but he's not the bright spot, he's closer to the number one cause (besides W. Green).
Buddy that’s not understanding how +/- works. The center on the team w the best record in the league is obviously going to have a higher +/- than the center on the worst team in the league.
@@minksmithsonian I get the skewing toward teams with better overall +/-. But Missi fails the eye test. I have to watch his Baylor highlights to see him actually play basketball...who knows what the coaching staff is advising him to do or not do. Boards are ok, and his perpetual picking and rolling to nowhere is probably a wash, but his hands for catching passes and dribble hand offs are handing off points to other team. Last year when opposing teams started their dunk and lay-up drills off JV, Larry could come in and bring everything back to a normal flow. This year when they other teams begin dominating the paint on both ends, the Pens only hope seems to be JRE and he's just not tall enough to stave off the other good 5s. It's a doom spiral without a decent 5. I thought Jemison would be better...but he's fallen under the Green spell (and the other players ignoring him when he's open) and suffering from lack of playing time. The only team they can possibly beat with Missi right now is JV's hapless Wizards. So something has to give at that position: run at least a few plays for whoever's in there every once in a while, trade for someone, play without a 5 (be nice to have BI or Z around for that alternative)...or we're stuck watching a bad chemistry/unmeshing of talent mess at both ends. And Cooper Flagg is prob not the complete savior...he will help, but prob needs to grow two more inches to stop the Senguns, Greek Freaks, and Jokics of the world.
