The one note of Skyline's music was enough to send me into a feverish state of nostalgic paralysis. I have that game's music stuck in my head for YEARS, and just remembering it now thanks to this video was immensely gratifying.
A lot of these I know, mainly: -Halo theme -Minecraft soundtrack -Super Mario series Soundtrack (ah, Mario Kart DS. I miss that game.) -Lavender Town (seen animations on the song, it’s nice)
Len Mo Lets put this way. Never had a X-box? Why should I know the Halo theme? Why should I know Gusty garden more than the Galaxy main theme? What if you didn’t grow up with Happy wheels? I know tons of people who have never even heard of Trauma center. Etc. basically he too his persona experiences and went “Everybody should know these” Different people play different things and identify with them. My sister could tell you who the main character of Halo was but could do every KK slider song. I couldn’t tell you what the music from pretty much every flash game on this list is like but I could hum the Traverse town KH theme for hours. But honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with this as a “iconic songs in games list” if he didn’t jump all over the place and go really random. Like I had never heard that song from minecraft before and there would be a lot of songs on here that just wouldn’t go here if that was the case. Just really weird choices across the board.

They do do a great job on some of the more popular "memorable gaming songs" though
Len Mo Lets put this way. Never had a X-box? Why should I know the Halo theme? Why should I know Gusty garden more than the Galaxy main theme? What if you didn’t grow up with Happy wheels? I know tons of people who have never even heard of Trauma center. Etc. basically he too his persona experiences and went “Everybody should know these”
Different people play different things and identify with them. My sister could tell you who the main character of Halo was but could do every KK slider song. I couldn’t tell you what the music from pretty much every flash game on this list is like but I could hum the Traverse town KH theme for hours.
But honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with this as a “iconic songs in games list” if he didn’t jump all over the place and go really random. Like I had never heard that song from minecraft before and there would be a lot of songs on here that just wouldn’t go here if that was the case. Just really weird choices across the board.
Yeah as a kid that grew up banned from video games with not a single nintendo consol or other ones for that matter (except for a ps2 that only my brothers were allowed to play)
