Bethesda is an example of developers becoming victims of their own success. They went from being the highly respected flagship RPG developer, to just another souless, greedy corporation who doesn't give a shit about the medium they create, it's just a quick buck to them. It's the fate that any developer is destined for the moment they cross into that AAA threshold, They become shells of their former selves, and eventually overtime just destroy themselves.

It won't be like No Man's Sky because I actually believed that game would work on release.
And after release it was patched to actually be a decent game, Fallout 76 will never have that amount of support. Just look at FO4, Bethesda are constantly updating it for the Creation Club, while completely neglecting to fix bugs that have been in the game since launch, in true Bethesda fashion they left it for modders to fix.
I doubt FO76 will be as bad, after-all it's an online game and Bethesda want money, but I don't wanna see a god damn community patch mod on the Creation Club for 800 points.
Doesn't matter if it's good now. It needed to be good on release. Hopefully Sean Murray's name will be considered dirt in the industry from now on.

I won't support NMS because I don't believe buying a broken game then giving them a year to fix it is consumer friendly. Skyrim on ps3 still has a game breaker glitch where the more time your save file has translates into your game lagging constantly to 10fps or lower. I repeat, a game released in 2011 on ps3 still has a game destroying glitch that makes you unable to play the same character forever, in 2018. Bethesda ain't going to fix glitches they just don't care and there's not enough backlash.

This is Bethesda, who here was expecting the game to actually be polished? I've been part of actual betas. When I still played the original EverQuest, we actually interacted with the GM's to test things. The next to last raid guild I was in even managed to get in on testing out some of the raids. When you played the beta you'd have GMs asking people to help test quests and monsters to tune them up or down.
The only reasons I would consider buying Fallout 4 would be for Fallout Miami and the New Vegas remake.

Sad times... I remember the excitement I had when new vegas came out. My gf at the time came with me to pick it up at gamestop that game was so fucking legit Idk how many times and different ways I beat it. I've finished fallout 4 once and maybe 1 of the DLC storylines before I just couldn't care anymore.
Meanwhile you need food and water to stay healthy, the perk system is a revamped card setup that allows you to customise your playstyle as you go, rather than just making you immune to everything and giving you super powers (FO4) and motherfuckers still cry, bitch and snivel because it's not "perfect" like New Vegas or "it's online I'm so bad I cant handle the threat of real players". God do ya'll want a baby bottle with those tears?

It is they worked on this alongside 4, originally promised Co-op and raised the price of the season pass few months after release then only gave us 2 story DLC (1 half assed and short). For me if i have to put a moment that this start it was with MMO, becasue they with thatyou can force money, and with the ideaof multiplayeryou save the single player and force money out of the wallet.
Video games start the slow decline there and have the great diversity of tipes of games too, now, 4x games, strategy, true strategy are relegate to small companies or some names, steath games are nearly gone, RPG are relegate to japanese RPG and some names, virtual novels are only indie or japanese games, sport are dead, because EA and 2K kill them.

And you know what the best part is? When this - and I use the term loosely - "game" comes out, some people are still gonna grab their ankles and let Todd shaft and rob them blind.
The engine Fallout and the Elder Scrolls game are running on is the ancient Morrowind Engine patched with more and more stuff over it. All the games afterwards had a fair number of bugs they share with each others. Engine bugs that are mostly fixed with unofficial patches. There won't be modding for at least one year.

There are many uses for 'DoA'. For example;
Say there is a vehicle collision, and the emergency crews respond. As soon as they 'arrive' one of the people involved could be 'dead'. Thus that person was 'DoA'.
It could also be used if some one was in-transit to a hospital and they died on the way, thus they where 'DoA'.
It is a common police/military term, and more commonly known in the form I have used. If it is more known personally to you as the aforementioned "Defective on Arrival". Then that is your choice to see it as such. But games can die, and 76 will arrive dead at launch.

I think it's insulting that Bethesda has the audacity to expect people to pre-order their shitty games for the pleasure to play a buggy beta for a few hours........Should have immediately been called out for that alone. Scummy business practice to the core, the excuses I saw to justify it along with that cheap Chinese sweatshop helmet bundle being scalped on EBay upwards of $500 on the day the shit was announced dwindles my already dying faith for humanity.
iF yOu DoNt LiEk tEh BeTa, JuSt ReTuRn TeH gAmE is the excuse I kept hearing.....After the Halo Reach beta popularized the concept of playing a game as it is being made (on consoles at least) it was common for games in development to have open and closed betas without expecting you to buy the game. Expecting you to pay $60 and then having to go through the strenuous effort of returning a copy of a game defeats the purpose of playing a fucking beta.
Oh and if you bought it from Wal-Mart good luck getting your money back. Walmarts ridiculous Piracy policy extends past dvds to Console games, shit that I highly doubt can be burned or pirated without extensive knowledge of hacking the console itself. You can only exchange it for a different copy of the game or bitch to the manager enough and you might get a different game that's the same price, I doubt it.
At one point Bethesda was an all time favorite company, now it is little more than a shit stain on the end of my shoe, Todd Howard isn't worth the Sperm used to make his decrepit, lying, shill ass. The fact they are even releasing this game and my IRL friends are eagerly swallowing it up is simply pathetic, if PC parts weren't So fucking spendy I'd switch over to that and ditch my PS4 & Xbox one.
Could also mention that I paid $500 each on QVC for the base models in 2014 and 2015......Yeah that was a real smart fucking idea, save your money buy a fucking pc this is coming from someone who loathes PC and has spent his time gaming on consoles.
I remember how excited I was to finally have consoles mods, literally was one of those "yaaaaasss" moments then immediately after how boring Fallout 4 and Skyrim S.E. got once I could fly around without power armor and 1 hit k.o. raiders listening to Goldeneye music on the radio carrying an Ak47 with a drum mag.
One of the games I grew up playing was Oblivion on the 360, I still play it now and then but I guarantee if I had that shit on PC as a kid my mind would be blown to pieces, as I never played on a pc much pre-2013 other than Flash Games on Newgrounds circa 2007-2010. If you want to talk about being served shit on a platter, That's the place to go.
StonedSage420 mods ruined vanilla Oblivion for me. I simply couldn't play it that way anymore. not necessarily a bad thing, but bad enough that my brother got me the Xbox 360 version and well I just couldn't play it.
@@ArtisChronicles yup I felt the same but with Morrowind, once I figured out how to get a pc copy and put mods on it I couldn't go back to OG Xbox Morrowind other than the health, magic, fatigue button cheat, the game on console was pure garbage in comparison to pc console commands, the Xbox One even had the incentive of 1080p as well as including Bloodmoon and Tribunal for free but even that wasn't enough to get me back to playing it on a console. I don't use my PC often its a 2gb ram piece of trash Dell tower, but when I do its usually to play games around the same age as Morrowind or to download roms and such.

I remember playing a "closed beta" of a relaunched decade old mmorpg. When they officially launched the game the service didnt really improve. Its just sad to me. I realized its nothing but a cash grab preying on nostalgia. Honestly tired of practices like this.
Bugs and no real NPCs (not even Dogmeat or Rex), Lore ruining, no real RPG Mechanics, No dialogue options, sucky VATS, Gratuitous Story Progression and Quests, Online only and Multiplayer. BethEAsdas worst game yet of many. What a Company.

First day of PC launch...servers will crash due to not properly stress testing and putting limits on server populations. Next will be login crashing due to amount of people trying to get into a single server. Then will be constant server lag because of too many people in one area which will cause crashing then the login servers crashing again. Then they will shut down for bug fixes off and on for two days to lower populations of servers and properly adjust the login to add timers and queues. Week one will end with a whimper as the queues will finally drop and the populations will be down to about 100 people per server if not half that. Then people will finally be able to come across the bugs like mobs attacking you from below ground which I just watched yesterday. Then everyone reseting areas as they run up killing people who already cleared said area like I watched two days ago when someone cleared a part of the main overseer quest and new guy runs up resetting the turrents and enemies nearly killing the guy. This is only the beginning. Bethesda rushed this to get some cash flow...in this rush they left out human NPC's and did not bother fully thinking through how to stress test a server.
Michael Moody yeah I’ve had it happen multiple times where I’ve been attacked by enemies that are under ground. You can’t attack them or do any damage and they just kill you. Also sometimes enemy’s don’t even respond to you, or half the damn time they will just be T posing sliding towards you. Constant frame rate drops and lag, this game is baaaaad. It could be fun but needs a lot of work.

I think you "hit the nail on the head" with this one; the stupid fan-boys just don't seem to get that by hyping this game, they are actually encouraging Bethesda to make even worse games. Fallout 76 needs to tank, badly and send a message to the "higher ups" that this kind of product is self-defeating. However, the response to the mildest criticism on some "other" You-tube channels gets the most acrimonious, personal attacks- it's just sad, really. Well, so long Bethesda, looks like you'll be joining Bioware at the unemployment office...
The problem isn't the engine itself but how Bethesda uses it. You see the work modders do? That's what the engine can support.

This is why i support indie game devs they actually communicate in most cases instead of sending in the most clean cut business person to lie and build hype for a worthless product, but to be fair there is always a diamond in the rough with these triple a game studios like titan fall and dying light, i found these game to be enjoyable and they have very few micro transactions.
Indie games make money primarily from good content.

@@CaptainLekirk One game that will never be surpassed is hollow knight I have to this day never seen a game so beautifully hand drawn, even the background's have moving plants fungi and insects that flow so nicely and have vibrant colors in every section, it should be considered a work of art, and the music oh ma gawd it is like an orchestra is sitting next to you watching you play the game and toning down the music or ramping it up based on whats happening I couldn't give this game enough praise. The variety of enemy's it far more than most games with over 150 different enemy's not including boss fights which have 4 different versions of each of those thanks to the newest free dlc which has added a boss run section. I should stop I have just gone into a rant.

Bethesda sells 76 for $120+ "Unfinished" and WITHOUT Mod Support. This is gonna fail harder than I anticipated. (all they had to do, is have a REAL BetaTest. Not expect the "EarlyAccess" crowd to be testers)

I'm still holding onto my money, I don't know yet how good the story will turn out to be, I do not know if the "survival" mechanics are too obnoxiously tedious, and I do not trust Rockstar anymore to actually make meaningful dlc. I mean why make content when you can sell shark cards?
Take-Two is also on my shitlist along with Ubisoft and EA. Especially after what happened with Red Shell, sure it might have been the developers but how would I, as a consumer know how far the puppetmasters' hand is up the ass of their puppets.
Grimreaper Dean I'm going to tell you right now that while all your concerns are more then understandable cuz of gta V, I'd say RDR2 is worth it. The multiplayer will probably be a cash grab along with the "dlcs". The core game stands well worth 60 bucks tho

It's not as bad as No Man's Sky... NMS was a total scam, they literally built a hype train on completely false image of what the game was about and reaped money from those fooled into buying. 76 released a BETA to showcase all it's flaws. They gave us the opportunity to check it, take a dump on it, and decide not to buy it. In just two days before premiere, we have the luxury of knowing what we sign up for when we buy it, and we gotta respect that at least.
