    All honesty, I legit GASPED when this video played and I saw how absolutely gorgeous Dr. Sam looked. Beautiful doesn’t cut it. I was flabbergasted. Stunning. Divine. Immaculate. As a gay man, I don’t experience “straight panic” very often but this look had me jaw on the floor. Unbelievable. 😱💜✨

    • @CaesarAugustus.
      @CaesarAugustus. 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hannahjump6438 it’s been a journey!
      I’ve definitely seen a major improvement in skin quality since starting. My texture has become so much softer, smoother, and my skin looks alive again. In fact, the improvement has raised my confidence so much so, I no longer hide behind the Snapchat cam but actually use the camera app for selfies. At my most consistent, my face was glowing!
      That’s the catch tho, you have to be consistent. There were a couple of months there around/after the holidays that my adherence was spotty, but I’ve been sticking to it again the last few weeks. I never stopped completely, so my skin still looked good, but I lost some of that glow to the gods by being lazy or too busy lol.

  • @dear_totheheart

    Lucky generations that are growing up with all this information and better products available now that wasn't available growing up in the 1990s or prior, the industry has completely changed for the better as is the public's knowledge, expectations, and valid demands/concerns. Truthfully, I'm upset that I missed this largely out of inaccessibility/ignorance because this wasn't the case for my upbringing (31 now so obviously I am thankful I have been learning and incorporating so much and trying to make up for lost time) but I'm also so grateful and excited for others who now don't need to struggle so much for answers or to start taking care of their skin and aging from an early age! Thanks so much for your excellent advice and guidance Dr. Ellis, wish I had access to you (at least wish I had known about the benefits of sunscreen instead of listening to my mom who convinced me it was poison) in my teens!

    Did you notice any change in your patients’ attitude towards skincare routine as we had the pandemic? For some reason, I started thinking a lot more of my skin and especially having a daily routine in the pandemic times. Started to use sunscreen and tried various combos of retinol and vitamin c until I have found what works best for my skin. My skin never looked better, it‘s not like I look younger , but it is supple, brighter, even and no more breakouts either. It definitely looks better then in my 20‘s, I am in my 30‘s now

    I’ve been trying to talk to a dermatologist about a skincare routine for years, since my 20s but they always ignore me or give me vague replies and just dump a bunch of samples on me. It’s so frustrating because I hate trying different things, there’s too many options, I just want a best recommendation for my skin type and then a follow up to see how it’s doing and adjust if necessary. Now I’m in my 30s and I’m still trying to figure this out!!! Again anytime I go to a dermatologist all they care about is “checking” for moles and then removing 2 moles per session, even though they said they were only taking a Sample, and the results are always negative. It makes me really dislike dermas since all they seem to care about is getting biopsy’s done to get the most money out of the patient and then don’t address what I want to know. So my question is are there any dermas in the world that actually help someone get a skincare routine going for their specific needs?

    Dr Ellis, great video! I struggle with some upper cheek rosacea and what is your take on retinoids and rosacea? What can I do to make my skin less dull while not causing clearer ups? I am 34 and have in the last year developed rosacea, which is freaking me out because I want to still take anti aging steps. Would so appreciate some guidance even though I know it’s super personal, I live in the woods and no derm anywhere close to me… :(

      I'm not a dermatologist, but using retinoids (first roc retinol and now adapalene) has actually really helped my rosacea. My skin feels firmer and is much more even, I don't get the redness on my chin and nose like I used to. I think if you can build up very gradually, retinoids will help your skin. I love the roc pods. Sandwich it between layers of moisturizer and it'll protect your skin from extra inflammation. My skin was SO sensitive, and now I can use adapalene every night on bare dry skin. Good luck!

    I wonder if there's a point to use both retinol and peptides like matrixil? Because they do the same thing: boosting collagen production. So is there any benefits of using in the same routine several activities which do same thing?

    I read on an article to avoid retinol if trying to conceive. How much truth is in that? If so, what’s an alternative for effective anti-aging properties?
    Thank you❤ I love your videos. They are great!

    Thanks! I've started to be SPF-lover after your videos. And I want my younger friend started to use SPF as well, but she doesn't care about it. It frustrates me=(

    Do you have a video for retinol for sensitive skin but still effective. I just turned 44 and have always been nervous to try retinol because I have dry sensitive skin.
