    Couldn’t agree more with this. I only waited 3 weeks from my first AP which was a 26240or with a blue face. Get on really well with the guys and now talking about adding an openworked RO to the collection. Great advice!

    I always have an image of my watch box, together with an album of the daily wrist shots and social events of me wearing those watches, to prove that I am a real collector.
    What is most important tho (other than having a spending history) is to be a genuine person with respect to the salesperson, and to show passion in the watch collection journey.

    Bro, youre a customer with unlimited funds. Thats ALL that matters. Youre getting offered pieces none of us can afford because youre one of the 5 guys in your city that can afford them.

    • @WatchTradingAcademy

      You can work your way up to that point by trading preowned watches at any budget from $1,000 up and slowly building relationships with dealers. Hundreds of Watch Trading Academy members have done this. OR... you can just complain on the internet (& from the sidelines) that you don't get the watches you want when you're sitting with your dick in your hand instead of trying to solve your own problem..

      @@WatchTradingAcademy Im not knocking your hustle, dude. Ive gotten 3 straight steel Rolex's at my AD that are now worth double (blue roman fluted datejust, rootbeer, batgirl). Good businesses offer their CUSTOMERS gteat customer service. Thats what you need to point out. The rest is just semantics. You got that AP cause you could afford it and bought it. Not because of your primo AD tactics! Youre a high networth client that buys on a consistent basis = great customer. And thats why youre getting great customer service.

      And my point still stands. There are only a select few of us (not me) that have half a million of "dont give a shit" dollars to spend on watches. Youre speaking to a very small group of people when youre demonstrating how to foster your relationship with your AP AD.

  • @Waterfront975
    @Waterfront975 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yea, you really have to be convincing if you want the AD to believe you are going to gift your watches to the buyers of exotic cars. In my ears it sounds pretty improbable.

    I went into my AD a couple months ago, just introduced myself and I let him know I was interested in starting a collections, I was very genuine about achieving a certain success level in my career and that I had been waiting a long time to be able to purchase a Rolex. I had never purchased anything from this AD before, and 2 mos later he called me with my two tone submariner. I was shocked. Maybe just being genuine came across with him.

    Rolex AD owner sell 75% of there stock to friends who flip them on secondary market and increase margins even more. Rolex AD have to make up for the cash laid out for the iced out woman’s watches which they make back the cash from selling Daytona at a 75-80% margin

      No. I keep many of the pieces I get from my AD. And I don’t buy hype steel stuff from my AD. So I’m not worried about my face being out there.

    This makes no sense you claim there is no waitlist, but you are just saying the waitlist isn’t in a set order and you admit that they have the power to dictate who gets q watch so it’s basically a waitlist

  • @kofiofosu9051

    Good comments. Once you show an AD that you are willing to buy something you don’t want to get a desired piece, they’ll never respect you. I got offered a steel sub, deep sea, platinum Daytona before i got a steel Daytona without ever buying anything from them. I’m not a high roller but I have a lot of watches from other ADs and I suppose that’s enough for them to know I keep what I buy and I don’t care to buy Sh*t.
