Thanks for the review. Looking forward to the Supermix 4 impressions.
Does he already have the SuperMix 4? 🤔
I do
Nice review, Paul!
Doesn't the castor already cover this role well enough not to need an alternative?
I boried with Kz i move away same.sh!t different day by KZ
It is more like a brighter Castor standard .
are you going to review the KZ libra? that one stood out to me among all the kz's I've tried
Not sure. I had asked Angeldac store about it and they said "later" which might be later or never.
Thanks for the speedy check! Ya think the Merga/Vader hold up to the ZSN Pro 2? Or are they different KZ flavours?
Definitely different flavor, one that involves a much brighter sound. ZSNP2 is more like a V shape with more balance. More fun if you like more volume
is this brighter than trn mt3?
i love trn mt3, it bright but not attack my ear
maybe because the driver is good
than i can hear music long time
Yes it is brighter than MT3
between kz zs10 pro 2, kz vader balanced, trn orca, moondrop lan and moondrop chu 2, which in your opinion has a better soundstage?? thank you for the video. 😁
Probably Lan as it is the best tuning and driver for it.
Do you have the KZ x Angelears Libra? cant find any reviews on it
Nope, I think it just started shipping
Whats the cheapest harman iem available rn? I have the Truthear Zero but i need a cheaper version of that for throwing as extras in my backpack and laptop sling
CCA Polaris maybe. It depends on your tolerance for deviating from the target. Moondrop Chu or the 7hz Zero. Each is slightly different.
@@PaulWasabii thankyou and sry I didn't get the notification, I bought the KZ Castor Harman edition and tbh I personally did not like it. Maybe the bassier version wouldve been for me.
Thanks for the reply I just got a notification rn
Finally, an even brighter kz! 😂
They heard your request
Kz was doing well with tuning like past couple years. What happened now?
At the low end, sometimes they try new things and do well, sometimes less successful. I think these brighter tunings are challenging to do well.
do you think castor or merga would be better? I often listen to music genres like Fortnight songs, espresso and occasionally listen to a little edm
Castor or Trio, whichever is cheaper
@@PaulWasabii I'm thinking about castor harman without bass. do you think it's okay? Or which model should I choose under $18? Hidizs ms1 galaxy for example.
The question is, how does it compare to Meyer Audio CKLVX D41?
lol. I wasn't a D41 fan, but I'd take it over Merga. As he said, D41 has nice tuning, needs some drivers to execute it. KZ typically has the drivers, could use that tuning.
is the Vadar balanced basically just a cca trio rebranded?
Yes it is.
Can i use KZ Merga for gaming?
Ouch!
Kz zsn pro 2 / kz caster bass edition / kz merga which one is best???
Castor bass or CCA Trio
I like more deep bass .. can I select castor bass ?
Kz Edx pro vs Kz Merga?
Who is better Sir?
EDX Pro
In India it is 10.71 dollar .
is it better than Moondrop SSR?
Never heard the SSR but I also know people like that set and not sure what is the real upgrade from it.
Is it true that Asians cant hear that well which is why they make IEMs with elevated treble?
Nope. That's definitely wrong. I think you're confused with the fact that music in Asia is less bassy in general than music in the west.
@@Qimchiy I forgot where I heard that from, it was awhile ago, but after seeing the Vader graph and the graphs in this video it kinda made sense.
No but there are many people who listen at low/lower volume where this tuning sounds more balanced.
@@PaulWasabii Thats a good point. The ZSN Pro 2 is my brightest set and I find myself having to turn it down to even like 14% on my pc with the apple dongle when I usually listen at 30% for most other sets. This subject had me kind of curious why alot of these IEMs are treble heavy so I researched the topic for some more info. I found some articles where they did audio tests between Japanese people and white people. Also some stuff about language tones but it was kind of over my head on the first read. There was one site where they had a graph that showed that Japanese people had the lowest ability and Chinese had the second lowest ability to hear certain frequencies, if I understood it correctly. UK had the highest and then Russians were the second highest. The most interesting article I read was one where a guy gives some info and background as to why most Asian tuning is bright. Google this "Chi-Fi Tuning - Why It Sounds So Damn Piercing To Western Ears?"
@@PaulWasabii I think im a low-mid volume listener. Say notch 8-9 out of 15 would be considered safely loud and fun, but i would do it at 4 or 5 depending on the iem
I think it helps avoid some kind of compensated or adapted listening? Not sure what is a suitable word or if there's any explanation for it. Maybe its just psychological.
If i listen at higher volumes, i feel my sensitivity level ceiling actually reduced. Which then i would psychologically feel the set need more power to come 'alive' in order to hear more difference?
I had to train myself to resist the urge to raise volume. I think it tend to happen when im trying to feel the bass slam for the fun or compensate for how forward i want my mids to be
Maybe its just like coffee and caffeine. The stronger you take it, the more you need it to feel the difference. But if you just want the kick and not bother about the, then by all means take the shot. But if you want to tell the difference between tastes and fragances, maybe the best is not to drown on it but just take a sip?
Its a very interesting topic i wish i could learn more or hear reviewers discuss more to understand more whats going on
Having said that i do appreciate Paul takes into consideration listening volumes when discussing tuning and sets as not many or anyone does that 👍
HAHA Paul I need to tell you that in "MERGA" if you change the first letter to a V it turns to be a word considered rude, very depreciated and classless. If I write it TH-cam could censor me hahaha I live in Latin America and it's a word that only low-class people would say IMO...I really doubt buying these 😂
If you change the G for a D. It’s shit in portuguese
@@fabianoberlim9636 HAHAHAHAHA omg!
oh my. Of all the recent KZ model names, Merga is one of the oddest. Now you just added another reason.
I have this model kz merga. It's two steps come back for KZ. No bass, high level is trash. Middle is normal.
Sorry, Merga was tough.
There's no step back. They have tons of different models for all kinds of taste. You're basically trying to blame them for your own fault of not doing research before buying
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess I compare the sound of Merga with similar single-driver EDX Lite for example and earlier EDA. My KZ collection contains the entire set of single-driver
@@keeds_ru is merga better than EDX pro x ?
Total dogcrap lmao
Your attitude
In my country, if you change the *_G_* to *_D_* it looks like shit. kz and these strange names, to match horrible designers.
KZ are unbeatable for the price. Their products are great
