I was looking at this set the other day and when I compared the Vader balanced version graph vs the Trio graph its literally the exact same thing (from the KZ site).
I just got the KZ vader balanced, its really good! got it for 20 usd from the kz promo discount store. They are very musical, not that resolving though. But the soundstage is amazing for its price. Might be best iem for under $50, if ur not a treblehead(in that case ew200 is)

Rhapsody is a crazy set for the price. I also haven't looked at the price lately, but it does go on sale. Vader Balanced or CCA Trio, whichever is cheaper for you if you want to go that route.
The genres that I mainly listen to are metal (pretty much all of its sub-genres), and songs that has heavy emphasis on basslines like Japanese Rock, funky jazz, and fusion jazz. Would you recommend this IEM for those genres? If not, which one would you recommend for those specific genres under similar price range?
Get the vader balanced and turn switch 3 up for more rock music and switch 1 for more bassline j rock songs. Vader is good, if you want more critical and detailed then kz zex pro is still great ! If getting on a good discount.

KZ CCA shells are getting worse and worse as of recently. Ugly af imo. No creativity and just printing some casual font on their plate is so boring. Doesnt inspire me to buy any of their sets. But i guess it could look like rocks on the floor as long as it sounds good...
@@PaulWasabii I think they've found a way to apply random dents on their plates, which could look minimalist but after many times starts to look boring by itself, and then after D-Fi start applying the iem names on it. The design language is the same and starts to look like siblings than a new character from their budget to their new Hydro. You are definitely right, has to be for convenience but its a shame they look horrible because its repetitive, imo

For offerings from KZ/CCA alone i have(or have experience with).. - EDX, EDX Pro(v1 + v2), EDX Ultra - ZSN Pro, ZSN Pro X, ZSN Pro 2 - ZS10 Pro X - ZEX - ZVX - D-Fi - Castor (Harman), Castor (Bass) - Rhapsody .. my personal favorite from the list is ZVX. .. then EDX Pro (v2 - Super Linear Driver).. i DO NOT like ZEX, D-Fi. Other IEM that i CLEARLY prefer over ZVX is Simgot EW200.
I ordered the balanced Vader yesterday along with the HBB PR2 which was on sale for 26 dollars . I think we're living in the golden age of IEM's lol .

Lan is a nice set. Vader Balanced might be closer in treble but it also as the Trio-like bass.

Nah, this one is really bright. Take a look at Trio or even Vader Balanced, not the High Res version

This is more like a flavor of Trio that will appeal to some people. Everyone else, there is Balance or stick with Trio

Maybe, I am not sure Vaders are radically different than what you have. I would enjoy the Castors for a while, let KZ cook up something different.

Try learning to EQ. This will help you find what you are looking for or what you prefer rather than buying more sets.
