Thank you. I was worried because my cat was panting when we brought her outside. I watched this and I brought her inside to cool her off and everything is fine now.

My cat started panting on the way to the vet. I had never seen her do that. I felt so bad. I couldn't even tell her things were about to get better, because I knew shots were in her future.

Hi, thanks for the points. I do remember when our mummy cats were in labour they were panting.
I figured that they were trying to ease the pain, or to get the kittens out easier (kind of like when human mums have to do the breathing during labour?)...Hot weather did make the cats pant, especially since we had Persians in the past.
Btw just noticed you have over half million subs, maybe late to notice, but congrats!
Been following your channel for many years now.

We recently moved to our new apartment and my cat wouldn't stop panting and crying at the door all night for us to let her out. I felt so bad for her and I didn't know what to do except try to give her pets and cuddle her which didn't seem to help much. :(

My two kittens who were born together both love to play with each other, one is a boy and one is a girl and since birth the boy kitten always pants pretty heavily while playing, while the girl kitten doesn't pant at all, they are the same age and almost the same size (my boy is a bit bigger) but it worries me sometimes. They are almost 6 months old, I hope he outgrows the panting, my two other cats never panted when they were younger.

@@fatimamohsen5248 Then I have an update that may help you out too. I took my boy cat to the vet for the issue and showed them a video of him panting, they examined him and didn't find anything concerning, they said it's most likely just his age and being a highly active kitten, they recommended I come back in 6 months if he still had a lot of panting or to come back sooner if it got any worse. My cats are now 1 year 4 months old and my boys panting and shallow/rapid breathing has practically gone completely away. I would say the last three months is when I started noticing significant change, and can say that he only pants maybe once or twice a week and that is only after heavy playtimes and running, and his panting only lasts for a minute or two and then stops even if he's still actively playing gently. My concerns are gone and I hope this is the same scenario for your cat!! Just keep a good eye on him!! 😸🤎

is there an easy way to determine if this is caused by a disease or just something that's temporary? My cat is very easily scared and I think she pants because of stress, she has done this 3 times recently, once on the way to the vet and twice while playing with my other cat who she isn't too comfortable with yet

I've seen this from kittens after heavy playing and running with each other, and my cats when they're giving birth especially to more than 3 kittens. and inside the car when we were moving to another place, I guess that was due to the high temperature or they needed water.

Hi, our cat is panting every time he is riding in the car. But the vet said that he is healthy. We are going on a 6 week vacation this December and we are planning to bring him with us because we don't have someone to take care of him. We are going by plane and I'm worried if he will be okay. What should I do? 🧡

I took my kitty to the vet because he was frequently panting. He took X rays and found that my cat's heart never developed and it's very small, therefore it can't pump blood adequately. My cat is not yet 1 year old and I'm heartbroken. We don't know what's going to happen or if he will live a long life.

    • @Pooh_Mochi2023

Panting after giving birth is due to stress, you should provide her a safe hidden place to keep her kittens safe, so she wont be stress.

Omg, my Persian cat does this after giving birth and during her last days of pregnancy she also did this. I took her to the vet but they didn't seem to figure out what's wrong with her yet. How did you solve it??

my cat sometimes starts panting very early when playing, like barely a minute into play. He does chase quite intensively though, jumping up and down the bed. Is this normal? Is he just out of shape? Or could he have a disease?

    • @Saitaverorwhatever
      @Saitaverorwhatever ปีที่แล้ว +2

I think it's pretty normal. My kitten does that too, imagine doing strenuous exercise without any warmup, before your body gets warmed up you tire easily. If you get warmed up you can go for longer without a break before you tire out completly. Give the cat time for the muscles to warm up and blood start flowing :) I always increase the intensity of the play session gradually, let him chase the toy for a minute, then rest, then slowly increase the intensity until he starts panting again then another break, I do this until it becomes clear he's worn out, starting to lie on his side and stuff. I'm not a vet but i consulted this very topic with my vet on a recent visit and he said its exactly that. Cats need warmup during play too

My five month old kitty has higher resting respiratory rate I have two kitties same age twins they are while ones breathing is normal around sixteen to eighteen breaths per minute others is hugehr than thirty per minute even resting breathing rate is high it even starts panting first time i noticed it when it was just two and half month old and climbed the tree high but was not able to get down on it's own as it was just a kitty now it can climb Down also but that time it got too scared and started panting on the branch of tree high I tried to calm it down git it down gave it water but it didn't after that i have noticed it panting after a play with its twin then third time i saw it panting after playing with cockroach I felt so bad these days I am taking it to sleep with me and I noticed even when fast a sleep it's breathing rate is high it has got most of the times laboured breathing with belly forcefully going up and down rest activities are normal but I feel bad seeing he has to work so hard for most important basic survival activity that's breathing... I am gonna visit my veternarian doctor soon this week... I know it's not severe problem buy it's not normal also... Before it becomes severe I have to consult with my veternary doctor...
