One time having scrambled eggs, a piece fell on the floor and my cat found it first and wolfed it right down. Next time scrambled eggs were made, I tried giving him some and he turned up his nose. Apparently they're only good if he thinks he's not supposed to have them.
Maybe because your cat saw you eating the egg at first, reason why it thought that he/she should have some too since you're its mother figure. Our cats are like that too... Whenever they see us chewing something, they'll come right at us trying to get of whatever we're eating at the moment. But if we just give them some piece of food without seeing us eat it first then they'll sniff and just ignore it after..

We once had a female feral cat we took in. We found her scrounging the garbage for food scraps, dirty and malnourished. She was pregnant at the time, though it wasn't visible yet. My sister thought her to be a male. We had her for over 15 years. The mother was very healthy till the last few weeks of her life. Even as she got older, she would still retain a playful attitude, and she loved getting petted.
🥰 this literally happened to me this past september. A stray came to us, followed me into my apartment and turns out she was pregnant. We adopted her after she fostered her two healthy babies- a boy and girl. Latte and Mocha❤️ i am a coffee addict so i thought it was so fitting to name the kittens that. I love thissss so much❤️ thank you for saving kitties❤️🥰
@@stephc4114 I love your story so much! Their names are so cute too. ❤️ But when you call them, people will just think that you're thirsty. 😅 I don't want to disappoint you, but I wasn't able to save nemi's first batch of kittens. She had 12 kittens, only 1 survived birth. And we tried saving him, keeping him alive through the night, trying everything we could... We had Nemi from 2002-2017. She stopped reproducing in 2008, and we had a lot of kittens that would live long happy lives. Those that we couldn't adopt away, we kept in the family. Her last son died in 2019 at the age of 12. He was my little boy and I held both him and his mother quite dearly till the end. 💔
I share a fried egg with my cat, Felix, almost every morning. I don’t give him a whole lot, but i do give him a couple bites along side his morning bowl of vet approved wet food. He loves it, and gets very talkative when the frying pan comes out. He’s just too cute 😊
1. Cats are designed to need the fat. Avoid frying to minimize browning 2. Sous vide is a good way to go - You can guarantee the minimum safe temp is achieved throughout the meat, but it can remain as close to raw as possible - My cats seem to love this 3. Look up making your own cat food, and add a few things. At the rate things are going, it's cheaper. Oh, and definitely add taurine and bone meal (cats usually eat the smaller bones of their prey)
They wouldn't have ended up as our pets if our ancestors couldn't outlive many pet generations to domesticate them, tough future gene and biotech might make both owners and pets live similar lifetimes.
I think it might have to do with 'gestation'. Where as...animals that produce a higher litter count while likely not live as long, such AS cats, and even dogs, and rabbits. It might be a way to maintain population control as to not upset the balance.
Cats should live longer than their humans. It'll be unbearable to lose them after 25 years, and even worse to lose them after 70. I want my cats to outlive me.
@@S.Pociecha you wouldn’t want that. Just think how confused, lonely, and sad your pet would be when it notices you gone, it would have no one. It’s better for pets to die before us because they have us in their last hours of life so they can pass peacefully
We had a 22 year old black haired green eyed stray cat that we turned housecat. He mostly ate dry food and green beans and chicken all the time. He hated all manner of seafood. He didn't get boney in his old age or even give any signs of weakness or fatigue. One day he was just drooling and we thought. Oh boy, he ate something someone dropped or something. Vet was like no, he was in amazing health. Just his liver was too old. He was great and very Docile and hardly vocal.
I have given hard boiled eggs to my kitty after finding out a while ago they're good for them and she absolutely loves them! loudest purring I've ever heard and that's saying a lot
I had a cat who loved cantaloupe, watermelon, corn on the cob, tomato sauce, pasta and bread. Also, every morning I made myself a cup of coffee with half and half and he’d have to jump on my lap and sniff my coffee. Didn’t want any, but he had to sniff it every day. I’d tell him, “Yup, same as yesterday”. 😂
@catherinelw9365 . Super adorable. ^^ I've been like this for almost 8 yrs now with my little dark void. ^^ I actually picked up the habit of letting her sniff my plate, bowl, mug, or even a utensil that has the smell of what I'll be eating. She never cares about it but is interested. Without training, she waits for me to take a bite first of my food than she'll start eating her kibble or a bit of canned salmon (not cat food version) if I have that out for her. ^^ I've had dogs when I was a teenager and my mom trained them the Dog Whisperer way, where the dog has to wait for the human (alpha) to eat first before the dog can. Well, my lil one just automatically waits...everytime. ^^ lol. I'm such a proud momma. She's a rescue that I was blessed with when she was 4 months old, and after I got her litter box...around 4-5 months old she properly used it. It was one of my proudest days. I'm like, that's my girl..she's a genius. Lol 😸💞🐈⬛
God! Thank you for this! I've been a cat mama for 13 years and half of these I knew and half I didn't know. My cats mean the world to me and I'd never want to give them something that could harm them.
Theresia Singleton: More then 1/2 of this is not good advice. Please read my addition reply to Falconlore post above. I too have had cats for years and thought I knew a lot of things, that is until I started working with them at a shelter (no kill). I learned sooooo much. No one who loves their furbees wants to harm them, learning, the proper way, helps us to keep them safe. Also, this is for anyone who has an over weight cat or dog. Please do research on why it is sooooo very bad for them to have extra weight, please don't love them with food. Have a good day.
@@annhopy2220 I can't find your reply you told me to read. If you ever get anytime, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know what you said. And I do have four of my fur babies who are overweight. I'm trying to feed them the minimum requirement and they don't like that at all! I'm so glad I clicked on this. Because of the cat food shortage, I've had to buy whatever's on the shelves and my guys have been rejecting it. I was just about to cook a piece of Perdue Perfect Portions chicken for them, but it's pre-seasoned. So glad I caught this in time! Thanks!
Hi I have been buying canned fish like salmon or mackerel from Walmart. You get a lot of fish for the money, it's only about two or three dollars per can. It's very healthy for the cats, healthier than cat food because it's pure fish. And it cost less per ounce then if you bought wet cat food.
@@fightingtosurvive6527 Hello, I'm not an expert but I'd suggest you to ask veterinarian or read about giving fish as cats main food. Fish does have a lot of goodness but it's not suitable for cat food in the long run. How about giving them grounded meat too? You can mix the fish and meat to cut cost. All healthy senior cat(20 years +) that I know always have chicken based diets with occasional fish or eggs as their snack. Of course it's your cat and I believe you just want the best for them, I just think that this is something that you might want to read about.
If you are Exclusively feeding "home made" foods, be sure to add some Taurine. They NEED it. (I buy pills, and "powder" them in the Magic Bullet. Some Liver is also Important.
I buy a bottle of Taurine and it comes in capsules at Walmart and it's only $6 for a bottle of 200. And, you don't need to crush it in a blender....just open the capsule💊 and sprinkle.
@@danipoz4420 It's not found in all meats and muscle meats at the concentration they need. Some people are just feeding their cats chicken breasts.....no word of a lie, raw ones as well 🤦🏾♀️. So it seems people need precise advice especially when it comes to making homemade cat food.
Got a sick cat with no appetite? Try Gerber baby food- Chicken (in glass jar) Has never failed to get them to eat and quality suitable nourishment. Contains just chicken and water, period. Have literally brought several cats back from the brink, one with pancreatitis, several with kidney failure and a few post-ops who weren’t touching cat food of any kind. Vet highly approves.
We had an Oriental cat that just loved apple. You could take a bite of an apple in an other room and the cat came running, trying to grab the apple from you. He craved apple and would sulk if you didn't let him have some fast enough. All of you who have been in contact with a Siamese, Oriental cat know the sound of one when they're not being happy.
He's not weird he just doesn't like it... Mine doesn't like anything bigger than a kibble so I can give him chicken and shrimp but if it's not bite sized or diced up he's not bothering with it heh
Please be sure it is “refined” coconut oil. Oh, and it does NOT contain sodium. For a while my cat loved it and would eat up to a couple teaspoonfuls a day. She’s so picky, she only likes it when it’s melty lol
I'm glad you did this video because our cat is extremely fussy when it comes to food. He would only eat fresh meat instead of something from a sachet or tin whether it contains meat or not so your video was very informative indeed. Thank you for sharing.
I had a couple of cats with "interesting tastes". One, a siamese, loved cucumber (which he'd steal) melon and other water rich fruits. Another loved cooked tomato, and cooked dried peas.
I had a cat that was crazy for corn on the cob. He went nuts at the smell of it cooking and loved eating it (after I removed it from the cob). He wasn't as excited over canned corn though. He didn't even get as excited over meat as he did, corn on the cob.
I’ve had cats who like waffles, dry cereal, and croissants. One used to live with a neighbor kid, who hid her until her parents found out. She was probably feeding her cereal, chips, pop tarts, yogurt, and other “kid foods,” because she gets so excited when she sees junk food and expects me to share. She just sits in a little area and seems scared to come to be fed, and has to be carried to bed. She must have liked her little girl, because she would be content to live in a closet as long as I take her out to pet her and bring her pop tarts! Not surprisingly, she was having some GI problems when we got her, which is how the parents figured it out. I feel sad she didn’t get to keep her. We are trying to bring her out of her shell.
My cat was crazy about sour cream, whipped cream, milk, and he loved sandwich ham and whipped raw egg yolk, and if you were having chicken, fish, chips or fries, he’d be on your lap and not give up until he got some as well. My cat lived to be almost 16 years old and lived a very healthy life up until very soon before his passing. He did not have any issues whatsoever with lactose so he could have dairy products (and loved it) in moderation without a problem, if he had shown any sign of issues I wouldn’t have given it to him or opted for lactose free. I gave him the special “cat milk” once and he wouldn’t touch that stuff and looked outright offended
Same here. A lot of the facts in these videos are bs. My cat was eating pretty much the same stuff as me and never had any serious health problems. Died of old age and lived for over 20 years.
The information in the video is nonsense. What was the Ancestral Diet for Cats? Think ... Since when did Cats ever eat "cooked" foods in the Wild? Cats have a very short digestive tract so Salmonella does not effect them in the same way it effects humans, and Cats are NOT stupid as to eat rancid meat! Cats are Obligate Carnivores and they receive 100% of everything they need from eating WHOLE prey. They cannot digest whole grains or refined starches and they do not require fruits and vegetables to balance their nutrition as humans do. Whole RAW Animal Proteins are the only type of protein that fulfils ALL of a Cat's nutritional requirements.
@@Peekaboo-Kitty I agree! Giving bread to cats ... what the heck for? It's carbohydrates, totally unnatural, totally useless junk food. Eggs, yes, but much of the rest is balderdash.
The video fails to talk about how good unseasoned sunflower seeds without the shells are. And that if your eggs haven't been in the refrigerator forever, they're fine to give to your cat raw. Way to tell is to put cold water in a glass or bowl. If the egg sinks and lays on its side, it's fine to give to your cat (and you) raw. If the egg floats even the tiniest bit you should just throw it away.
When I was a teen, my mom had a cat that absolutely LOVED raw liver. Any time mom had to give him meds- or even got some to prepare liver and onions for the family- the cat HAD to get his portion of raw liver. He lived to be about 18 before he passed away. He also loved tapioca pudding.
Onions actually aren't good for cats. It's poisonous and will cause blood issues I believe. Sure I don't remember the exact symptoms it will cause but I do remember it being one of the foods I looked up that were BAD for cats
@@Stirling-Shade Yes, onions and garlic are poisonous to both cats and dogs. However, my mom never fed the cat liver that had been cooked with onions. She gave him the liver raw.
Liver; raw meat and organs in general is the best thing for cats, that is what they ate in the wild. Commercial food literally shorten their lifespan and destroys their metabolism and organs.
My girl is a demon when it comes to bread. I have to keep loaves in the refrigerator or cabinets at all times. Otherwise, she'll run off with the whole bag. Worst part is, she won't even really eat it. She'll just bunny-kick it into croutons in some nook where I can't get to her. She has plenty of kicker toys, but she's very much drawn to the yeasty smell. So tired of cleaning up crumbs.
😂😂classic. Mine once ran off with an entire roast chicken 🐓 I turned my back for a minute and he grabbed it and ran off 😅. He’d also love to lick the butter off my sandwich when I wasn’t looking. Cheeky af
I laughed when you said 'talk to them in a high-pitched voice". I always do that - almost like baby talk. My cat is a mushy kitty. If I go upstairs, she follows me - wherever I go.
Yes, but after watching this you'll want a cat!😂So, go adopt a cat from the animal shelter and you will add a lot of love, and joy to your life, and you'll have a wonderful foot/backwarmer for those cold nights. Also, you won't need an alarm clock because cats have built in alarms, but no snooze button. You can't turn them off!!😘
My cats really like tomato sauce (as in the juice that canned tomatoes swim in). And Isil is obsessed with bread - whenever I'm cutting some, he waits at my feet for any crumbs that might fall to the floor.
One of my mom's cats eats blueberries, tomatoes, cucumber, various fruits and steals candy/snacks if its available. If you give it meat and fruit/veggies it chooses the later, it's healthy so far at age 12.
One of mine loves chanterelle mushrooms, she can smell them when i come home from picking and will play with them as she eats. She doesnt like other mushrooms though.
My cat loves chic fil a she goes nuts over it eats more of my sandwich than I do. She loves roast beef and knows the words to all her favorite foods 😂 I swear she’s like a Lil person
Ok, one big correction - saltwater fish is perfectly safe raw _when fresh, or fresh-frozen, thawed and used quickly._ Here's the deal with that - any bacteria or parasites that were already in the fish wouldn't be compatible with a cat's (or human's) biochemistry because they're adapted to life in saltwater. You still definitely need to cook freshwater fish, however, and that also goes for transitional fish caught in freshwater.
In regards to the fish as well it’s not good to give your cat a lot of Tuna it can develop a vitamin E deficiency which can lead to the inflammation of their fatty tissues. A teaspoon once every few weeks was what I was told and even then my vet said any other common fish is probably better for cats. Mercury content in Tuna should also be kept in mind
@@sarahm9209 If you are including tuna in a cat's diet you also want to make sure it's actually tuna and not escolar. Escolar can cause digestive issues.
Most of the parasites you need to worry about are found in both saltwater and freshwater fish. Fresh frozen is best because the parasites are killed off when frozen. Check your fish, some saltwater fish are high in mercury. Mercury is toxic in high doses so be sure not to over feed you or your cat.
The longest lived cat on record, Creme Puff, reached the age of 38. Her owner has had multiple extremely long lived cats, and he attributes it to a diet of "dry cat food supplemented with broccoli, eggs, turkey bacon, coffee with cream, and-every two days-'an eyedropper full of red wine"'" I suspect it's the red wine that does the trick, as it's known to contain Resveratrol.
My very first cat Madeline live to 21 years old. I just gave her the standard food like Friskies dry cat food, and would sometimes give her wet cat food, and meat scraps from the table. She lived a long life.
My mother used to give tuna to our first 2 cats for a treat in the mornings. One of them used to go after my muffin that I was eating. I gave a crumb from the muffin and he ate it. I remembered them both eating grass outside. We never feed them fruits and stuff.
I just tried to serve banana to each of my 4 felines and they all turned away from it. And, I did this just before feeding time and they are all very hungry at this moment. Will try the others later. Thanks for the info!
I cooked eggs and chicken up for my Chihuahuas and cats during a major pet food recall. They all Loved it. Our 17 year old cat loves meow mix. Vet told us she is very healthy
I'm living in countryside and i have a cat and he likes to play with everything he sees for example: once he saw a rope hanging and he didn't stopped catching it. He also catches mouse and rats and eats them. Once we had a mouse in our kitchen and my cat catched it and got it to his box house. He's adorable.

I used to give my cat a can of flaked tuna in water (not in oil), or shrimp as treats. He would cheerfully run from anywhere he was in the house for these, he would smell it from the second floor and run down to the kitchen on the first floor, and devour them in seconds 😺
Yes I'm having that same problem and it's been going on for almost two years. I just have to hop from store to store to try to find some because my cats are pretty picky.
My mum gave my cat banana once. That poor cat had the worst case of diarrhoea ever. However, we used to also feed my cat slices of ham every so often as a treat, and I used to feed my cat a tin of tuna a week. Used to drain it of sunflower oil. My vet said my cat was one of the healthiest cats she’d seen. Glossy coat, perfect weight. She passed away aged 17 from a brain tumour. 😢
Some disappointing information here is about pork for cats. NEVER GIVE YOUR CAT OR DOG BACON, HAM, SAUSAGE or ANY DELI MEAT ---- and NO SMOKED FISH! These have high salt content and are BAD! They should NOT even be considered as a treat! It also would be nice to mention that these human foods can be good added with each other or other cat food ---- not necessarily on their own.
Of course, we should know that when feeding any human or homemade cat food, --- nutrients, such as Taurine, must be added! Cats require vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics and Omega-3 supplements.
@@cruhunb1591 Bacon is pure fat and salt! It is one of the worse foods a human being can eat ---- and one of the worse foods to feed to a child or a pet! God bless you!

brown rice in small quantities every now and then is fine, it is also good when they are constipated. enriched white rice is essentially empty calories with all of the nutrients shaved off though, for both you and your cat. there is a reason its cheaper than brown rice.
"some" amount may be healthy and beneficial. however, human foods can threaten kidney health in cats. I recommend having a hemoglobin test once a year.
Yes, one of the major differences between people and cats is that humans evolved closer to water than cats did. The common house cat is a desert creature and as a result the kidneys are subject to failure if exposed to too much potassium. They also don't need much water to drink, practically none, if fed wet food. But, cats should really always have access to clean water in a wide bowl and preferablly running water. Generally though, human food is for humans and increasingly not even safe for humans when it comes to baseline uncontaminated foods.
Keep in mind, fruits aren’t for every cat. My cat for instance is very sensitive to the ethene that certain fruits emit and will begin to blink rapidly and shake her paw when in the proximity of it. Mainly bananas, as they are very potent in this chemical-like odor. I am actually very surprised bananas were included on this list…
@@spk3489Cats are “obligate carnivores,” meaning that they need to obtain most of their nutrients from meats and meat products. So don't be sad because your cat doesn't eat fruit. If you want an animal that eats fruits and vegetables, buy a goat. Also, bread, for cats, is essentially empty calories because there is no meat protein present. Bread also contains a lot of carbohydrates, which are unhealthy for cats.
My vet gave me a recipe to help my cats with constipation and general intestinal biotic health. Cranberry, lettuce, carrot and other counterintuitive stuff to be blended and offered with food. Both of my cats get to lick out the empty shells as I use them to cook. It's not a lot but they love it. Whenever I eat fish, I save a tiny bit to hand feed them
My vet recommended me to made chicken breast pumpkin jelly for my cat which had kidney stones once by eating dry cat food. To made the jelly first you need to boil the chicken breast into the water until it fully cooked, then add skinned pumpkin into the pot which has cooked chicken (you can also use the same water that cook the chicken). When the pumpkin is softened mash the pumpkin and add agar agar. This jelly may leave about 2 week(my experience)in the refrigerator.

My cat always tries to eat anything that we eat (most of the time, we're good at keeping him at bay, but occasionally he succeeds). And not only he goes after fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy products and oatmeal, he also eats trash; in this regard, he loves vegetable peels.
my cats love broccoli, asparagus, peas, beans and other green stuff, as well as the inside of croissants, but loathe bananas, eggs, any fruits mentioned here... funny creatures
Good list though I'm curious about the avocado bit.. what I was taught is that avocado flesh is great for cats but the skin is the toxic part. My cats go crazy over the flesh, I usually give any leftover bits when I cut up an avocado as I imagine it can help their joints as it does with humans.
Our kitty used to eat broccoli every day as a snack. Two florets a day - she loved it but then all of a sudden stopped eating it. She will still eat some green beans and peas but funnily enough gone off broccoli. Loves all things fish - especially salmon and loves chicken :-)
Maybe shortly after the kitty coughed up a hairball or got sick. I remember when I was a little kid I had a Mountain Dew and a creme cake. I violently threw up after and wouldn't touch Mountain Dew for years after.
My cats favourite hobby is eating! I put this down to him having been a stray cat. He loves soft boiled eggs, coconut milk & coconut oil, yoghurt, cheese, crisps & Nachos. I sprinkle a little flaxseed over his food sometimes, same with oats & chopped parsley. His favourite food is chicken. He loves to crunch on the bones.
Last year, my cat lost a bunch of weight thanks to a medical issue, and hasn't been able to regain that weight until recently. She's not cured, and never will be cured sadly, but adding a hefty serving of boiled chicken and pumpkin to her diet has done wonders in giving her energy back and put some meat on her old bones.
This is all good to know, all kitties are so awesome and unique! We have several rescue kitties and love all of them. Please help stop this cruelty right now, tell everyone out there! If they feel they need to "identify" the animal later on they could do a belly tat when asleep, now that would be more humane. This is a terrible practice for them to continue, please help stop it now...your voice really matters!
My boy cat has a urinary tract problem and is extremely picky about food, never eats more than 30% of the regular cat food given. Additionally he is not so big on drinking water after we moved to new home, which partly made the struvite crystal problem worse. I noticed however that raw, pre-cut chicken that is sitting in water is what he will eat 100% every time and will also drink the water until the last drop which with him was unheard of. I give this every morning and night, and between those times I give a small amount of dry food which is able to break struvite crystals and being good for cats with urinary problems (Purina ProPlan Veterinary Diets UR-Urinary). This combination has made it so that when we go for a checkup, the vet tells me that the pee has almost no crystals detected, it is perfect. In my country the chicken is so well regulated that I am not worried about salmonella, the vet also agreed. He has still a problem of sludge in the bladder, however I found other ways to manage with that. The struvite crystal problem seems to have disappeared with this diet completely.
I buy organic pumpkin, no other ingredients in the can and put plops on a silicone mat on a cookie tray and freeze them. I take one out the day before and the one I took out yesterday I add a bowl of hot water under it to take the fridge cold off of it. I split the amount on two dishes for my two cats, grate some dried liver onto the pumpkin, not a lot of either. I get organic unsalted chicken stock and put it in ice cube trays. my cats get one each which I warm up on the stove and add a few kibble, like 3-6 pieces of good quality kibble. They start their meal off with a small amount of kibble, then a small amount of good quality wet cat food, then they get the chicken stock, then the pumpkin and the kitchen closes with a bit of dry kibble. It is high maintenance lol (I dread getting a cat sitter lol) but all this together makes sure their getting enough wet and good ingredients to keep thier digestion and coat shiny and lush.

I think you should stop your little 100% meat crusade in the replies of all these comments because you are not in full possession of the facts
My cat likes bananas and absolutely loves persimmons. Persimmons in general are really good for the heart and I usually give my cat a small piece that he licks off the fruit skin.
Its not good for them... They're obligate carnivores who get every bit of nutrition they need from meat anything other than that is junk and extremely hard on their digestive system even if its not necessarily toxic...rocks arent toxic but you wouldn't feed your cat them if they loved eating then.... If they're eating something out of their natural diet... Its just like dogs.. If you're not feeding them properly and they aren't getting the nutrients they need they start eating poop and other weird stuff... Its a sign you're a crap pet owner its not something cute your pet does
This video has some great advice and some not so great advice, still a good video imo. We feed our cats a balanced raw diet (meat, bones, organs), so I don’t understand why meat is last (#12) on the list. You say yourself that they’re obligate carnivores, meaning the need *meat* to survive 💛 so much great feline nutritional info out there, new research showing how horrible kibble is for your cat. A moisture rich diet is the way to go 😻
Don't believe everything this idiot tells you!
This so great information i found out what insence that are bad for cats that will make them very sick but i will watch this again thank you so much for this important information 😀 😊
my cat loves cheese - no, she adores, goes *crazy* for cheese, is completely obsessed about cheese - I literally have to guard my meals as I eat them if there is any cheese involved
One time having scrambled eggs, a piece fell on the floor and my cat found it first and wolfed it right down. Next time scrambled eggs were made, I tried giving him some and he turned up his nose. Apparently they're only good if he thinks he's not supposed to have them.
I have 3 cats and I noticed they prefer the yolk. So even if its scrambled, if its mostly white they probably wont eat it
Lol

And some people say that feral cats can't be tamed.
What does any of that have to do with the subject of this video?
@@Witchy1976 this is youtube comments.

I don't want to disappoint you, but I wasn't able to save nemi's first batch of kittens.
He’s just too cute 😊
one of my cats looovesss eggs, I let him have a piece or two every morning when I have breakfast
Funny, I have a cat named felix and he loves chicken
Felix is totally blessed
I think boiled egg is better then fried ones, since butter have salt in it. But as long as it's just a rare snack, it's fine I think.
Please do NOT give FRIED foods
1. Cats are designed to need the fat. Avoid frying to minimize browning
2. Sous vide is a good way to go - You can guarantee the minimum safe temp is achieved throughout the meat, but it can remain as close to raw as possible - My cats seem to love this
3. Look up making your own cat food, and add a few things. At the rate things are going, it's cheaper. Oh, and definitely add taurine and bone meal (cats usually eat the smaller bones of their prey)
I 😮
My family had an old cat that lived to be 20. I still think it isn't fair that pets don't live as long as humans do.
You think that way until you lose a person in your life before a pet. Then you'll really think the worlds unfair.
Can u elaborate on the green beans? Cooked? Raw? Fresh? Frozen? Can ed?

Hello Lyn how's the weather over there today
I had a cat who loved cantaloupe, watermelon, corn on the cob, tomato sauce, pasta and bread. Also, every morning I made myself a cup of coffee with half and half and he’d have to jump on my lap and sniff my coffee. Didn’t want any, but he had to sniff it every day. I’d tell him, “Yup, same as yesterday”. 😂
Next time try a latte 🙂
Probably wondering why you waste the half and half, instead of putting it in a saucer or something actually useful. 🙀
i got a good laugh outta this, thanks!
Hi
I have been buying canned fish like salmon or mackerel from Walmart.

Taurine is Vital for their Heart health and Eyesight too.

My cat loves sourdough. 🥴 When I bake sourdough he runs up to ask for some and waits for it to cool down so he can have his little slice.
My late kitty just loved bread. I didn't dare leave a loaf where she could get at it. She'd bite through the plastic wrapping. She was a true foodie.

Raw liver would be one of the best things you could give a cat - no wonder he lived so long! 😸
Liver; raw meat and organs in general is the best thing for cats, that is what they ate in the wild. Commercial food literally shorten their lifespan and destroys their metabolism and organs.

Raw fresh water fish and crawfish also carry parasites like worms which can infect humans and animals.
@@sarahm9209
If you are including tuna in a cat's diet you also want to make sure it's actually tuna and not escolar. Escolar can cause digestive issues.
I didn't realize that about saltwater fish! Thanks for that. I live in Newfoundland where I can easily obtain cod. 👍
My cat LOVES chicken. Everytime we have chicken for dinner, she instantly runs down to the kitchen and want some.
The amount of resveratrol is that wine in very low. Also the general consensus is that fry cat food is unhealthy.
I have researched this- it is true.
My very first cat Madeline live to 21 years old. I just gave her the standard food like Friskies dry cat food, and would sometimes give her wet cat food, and meat scraps from the table. She lived a long life.

I would love to hear more than 1min of this it's beautiful.
I used to give my cat a can of flaked tuna in water (not in oil), or shrimp as treats. He would cheerfully run from anywhere he was in the house for these, he would smell it from the second floor and run down to the kitchen on the first floor, and devour them in seconds 😺
I buy canned Mackerel. Seems to cost about the same as tuna but has more natural fish oils.
@@Capohanf1 Sardines very good for cat ,tuna ok
Is anyone else struggling to find cat food at grocery stores? The pet food aisle is basically bare every time I go shopping and has been for months...
Yes I'm having that same problem and it's been going on for almost two years. I just have to hop from store to store to try to find some because my cats are pretty picky.
It’s hard….the stores are largely sold out.
What about Rice Krispie treats and banana pudding? Those made my Phoebe go wild to the point of grabbing the treat out of my hand! 😻
Thanks for sharing this!
Your videos are a great impact on cat parents
Hello Aleena how's the weather over there
My cat goes mental over shrimp. It's the one food where if we're eating it, she will stand up and put her paws on our legs and beg for some.
Thank you for exposing this sneaky snake
Of course, we should know that when feeding any human or homemade cat food, --- nutrients, such as Taurine, must be added! Cats require vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics and Omega-3 supplements.
@La , I didn't say it did... I was merely offering additional information for people who care for cats.
@@romeeo69 I agree with the Ham part, but i am confused with the bacon
@@cruhunb1591 Bacon is pure fat and salt! It is one of the worse foods a human being can eat ---- and one of the worse foods to feed to a child or a pet! God bless you!
Love this video ... thanks
My cat likes carrots, peas & apple sauce as treats . Also chicken baby food...I use rice water when she had tummy problems or lose stools. She came home with a cold so we use astragalus powder on her dry food which worked best cause Lysine didnt work . Our cat tends to gain weight easy so we give her grain free and a special dry food . Never tried squash but will try..Very good ideas in this video... Thanks!
Whenever you try to make homemade cat food, please don't forget to add taurine supplement and fish oil. Also if your cat is underweight, you should not feed them anything which has rice as rice is source of carb which is not good for unhealthy or underweight cat.
You can add Grinded Leg thigh bones in ingredient for decrease the vitamin D deficiency and Arthritis as nowadays, Arthritis in cats are common disease. Please take much care of your cats. My Muffin (cat) is Big fan of your content. Good luck and thanks for sharing interesting videos. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗❤️🎉🎉🎉
Muffin has a great pet parent.😀❤

brown rice in small quantities every now and then is fine, it is also good when they are constipated. enriched white rice is essentially empty calories with all of the nutrients shaved off though, for both you and your cat. there is a reason its cheaper than brown rice.
My dog had athritis miss her
"some" amount may be healthy and beneficial. however, human foods can threaten kidney health in cats.
My cat doesn't eat any fruit 😢 neither yoghurt nor milk
She only likes chicken. She hates fish. 😢
@@spk3489milk isn't good for cats so it's probably a good thing your cat won't touch it
Shop at Wal Mart? They use that gas to ripe fruits and veggies that they have stored for months unnaturally.
Jaw-Dropping Facts: Your cat will never turn down a bowl a salmon, tuna, or sardines! Me: THEN Y DOESN’T MY CAT LIKE SALMON, TUNA, OR SARDINESSSSSS 😂😅
Ps: he only likes shrimp, watermelon, bananas, beef? And eggs (PAIN TO FEED THIS TO MY CAT EVERYDAY, even tho he eat his kibbles 😢)
This is awesome! I never knew cats could eat all these different foods! 🙏
Dont beleave everything what you see on the Internet
The information in the video is nonsense. What was the Ancestral Diet for Cats? Think ... Since when did Cats ever eat "cooked" foods in the Wild? Cats have a very short digestive tract so Salmonella does not effect them in the same way it effects humans, and Cats are NOT stupid as to eat rancid meat! Cats are Obligate Carnivores and they receive 100% of everything they need from eating WHOLE prey. They cannot digest whole grains or refined starches and they do not require fruits and vegetables to balance their nutrition as humans do. Whole RAW Animal Proteins are the only type of proteins that fulfil ALL of a Cat's nutritional requirements.
I had the same problem. So I started with Chewey on line and they have my food most of the times I order extra so I won't runout delivered in 3 days. Great customer service 🐾
Have a kitty who loved broccoli until he was about one or two years old. Doesn't like it anymore.
😂😂😂😂love it !
Maybe shortly after the kitty coughed up a hairball or got sick. I remember when I was a little kid I had a Mountain Dew and a creme cake. I violently threw up after and wouldn't touch Mountain Dew for years after.
@@someoneout-there2165 I think it's more she is older now and doesn't digest it as well anymore. Just as our tastes and digestion changes as we age.
Pls tell me how to give these veggies. Do I hv to boil them? Or raw?
Hey, does anyone out there know that the "Humane" Society chops off a kitty ear when they spay/neuter them?! We were horrified and found out first hand that this is true when it happened to one of ours, I still can't believe it and am in shock. NO kitty deserves that, feral or otherwise and ours are all loving sweet cats--we NEVER would have taken her in there if we had known what they would do and feel so guilty. Please help stop this cruelty right now, tell everyone out there! If they feel they need to "identify" the animal later on they could do a belly tat when asleep, now that would be more humane. This is a terrible practice for them to continue, please help stop it now...your voice really matters!
Am teaching my mother's cat the joys of health food poor girl has had the same food for years!
Our cat is a big fan of coconut and mct oil, everytime we leave a spoon with leftovers on it she jumps on the counter for a snack
My old childhood cat that we rescued for some reason loved olives. Sometimes we gave him a lil piece for a treat. My new cat (kinda, he’s 3 though, and we got him as a kitten) loves cheese. If he smells it, he will climb you and meow at you for HOURS until you give him a piece. He’s weird. My oldest cat, who is about 10 (I’ve had here since I was 3
My dog luv cheese give bit
I enjoy rewatching this video
More great info ℹ️ thanks 🙏🏽
I don’t know about the rest of you, but every time my cats chew on grass, that normally means they have a bit of an upset stomach and we’re in for finding a pile of vomit sooner or later (joy of pedigree cats with sensitive digestive systems; even food designed especially for this isn’t fool proof).
eating grass isnt cause upset stomach, but as the video says they do it to help clean it msotly of hairballs, so yes its hairball/vomit inducing but in a good way,
@@Helleuw123
I agree with you. Greens are important in their diet.
The man in the video is an IDIOT! Cats chew grass to remove the swallowed fur. What was the Ancestral Diet for Cats? Think ... Since when did Cats ever eat "cooked" foods in the Wild? No they are NOT! Cats get everything from a 100% meat diet! They are Obligate Carnivores. Google it if you don't know what they means.
@@Peekaboo-Kitty I think you will find they do require a bit of green from time to time. How they get this in the wild is from inside the guts of their prey. If they are not actively preying on wild animals then it is up to the owner to provide this for them.
Its a sign you're a crap pet owner its not something cute your pet does
I remember when I had to give my cat an anti inflammatory. I gave it to her in pumpkin purée and it worked like a charm
thank you
Am so glad I watched this I just got a cat and I didn’t know what to feed him, thank you
This video has some great advice and some not so great advice, still a good video imo. A moisture rich diet is the way to go 😻
This video is so centered around countries that apparently lack any food safety.
My cat loves cooked ramen noodles on occasion,I give her a few every now and then.
Oops, we used to give our cat raw whisked egg with a splash of milk every now and again, brings shine to the fur we we’d been told.

Hello Angela how are you doing today
one warehouse cat just loved raisins especially muffins/cookies with raisins? She lived to be 23 yrs. she ate kibbles and wet meats too regularly?
This so great information i found out what insence that are bad for cats that will make them very sick but i will watch this again thank you so much for this important information 😀 😊
my cat loves cheese - no, she adores, goes *crazy* for cheese, is completely obsessed about cheese - I literally have to guard my meals as I eat them if there is any cheese involved
Mine too waits for me to spill the grated cheese but last time I paid for it runny poo on my shoes lol
