Since you are actively using this tiller, I have a question. Could you can operate without engaging the tiller? And, could you remove the tiller blades and rig up a way to put sweeps on it? Could you make a video showing the underside without the blades on, to see if there could be a way to attach sweeps or other weeding implements? I realize that for ground penetrating implements, you generally need a more powerful unit, and larger tires, but I would try using something small, like what would go on a Planet Jr, or Hoss wheel hoe.
@@davidwho8215 You can operate this tiller without engaging the tines. I will have to look at adding a sweep. I had to install the tines so I know they can be removed. They attach with two shear pins. I bet a dethacher could also be used. Maybe some sort of rake could be rigged onto the depth stake. I’ll do a video looking underneath, but it will be a bit as I’m going on vacation.
Tilling for weeding purposes is not that good as it stirs up the ground too much and beings up new weed seeds. Cutting the weeds just below the surface with sweeps is way more effective. I have a small Grillo walk-behind tractor, but even it is too big for narrow rows. This little Ryobi, is a good size for narrow rows.
Must be nice that you got one in box, they told me they didn’t have a boxed one in the entire country 🙄 so they wanted me to buy the badly weathered ones they have in store
I like that I can charge it with solar. I have a 100 watt Harbor freight solar panel charging a 500 watt Jackary. I plug my 40v charger into it. No more gas. I have spent many hours over the last 30 years getting a 5hp Briggs and Stratton running so I could till. 😂The batteries are lasting longer now that I am just using it to weed. It’s a beast though. Thanks for watching!
HD appears to be closing these out, if you want one, they are just $449.55 today.
Very nice garden you got, lil jealous lol
Love Ryobi products!
Thanks Mike!
Nice!!
Thanks Joe!

It would need to aatch in a way that doesn’t contact the tiller drive unit, just in case it was accidentally engaged, even if the blades are removed.

@@kevin072991 I used to work at this particular store and it was always the customer preference, boxed or unboxed. Thanks for watching.
what about the cat in the background
hey what happened to the good old weed 😅
no green house you need a weed house 😅
Not worth the price, but I’m still considering one, lol.

If it had a PTO so you could remove the tiller and add other attachments and ground implements then it would be better.
can you cook on it 😆
