It's a Friday. Just replaced orifice last Wednesday. Beautiful blue flame and not sputtering. Pulled it down to 0 degrees. Turned control to auto, gas took over because 3 flashes started after a while. Restarted once, which is all your allowed to do, and 5 flashes happen and it's locked out!!! Hello from the quiet sunny Ozarks Kenny! Another video of value! Hope your having a great day and enjoying the weather. the resetting issue is one reason i replaced my norcold for a magic chef residentual frig. I didnt you hear you laugh when the board made funny noises! tight line and bent poles!
Oh just bought a 2005 Dutchman Denali and this is the fridge I have. This is also what my fridge is doing. I will try this to see if it works!!! Thank you !
Your video helped me greatly, same model norcold, though mine didn’t have a 16 position on main circuit board, had 10 on a lower connection and 6 upper left, but my position 15 was on top board 5 in from left, i grounded that for 5 seconds and heard the propane trying to light, turn fridge off and back on, on light is not flashing error code anymore and fridge is working fine. I had tested the thermistor prior to this, thermistor tested good, glad i found this video! Thanks again ,
Thank you for showing this. I have a 2004 four winds with this fridge and I followed your steps tonight and it reset mine. I'll find out in the am if it is still cooling or not. Thank you once again for the information.
I commented a few weeks ago. Sorry I couldn’t find my comment to reply on. Just wanted to let you know that I tried this method and it worked beautifully. I appreciate your video and the info!
As alway great video. I have also forgot about switching the meter between AC and DC. Last time I had to deal with with no cool it was after a major wind and rain storm.
Lol mine is in a 2013 forest ridge, first the thermosator went bad and is showing open circuit on my ohm meter then I unplugged it and the light buld leads. Then I got 1 blink. Then after 24 hrs it stayed running in back up mode but fridge only got down to 60f, freezer was fine. Then this afternoon I plugged it back in and no blink codes went to my buddies for a few hours and came back and the fridge went up to 65f freezer still fine. Pulled the mother board off the back and some relay was clocking and clicking and clicking. So I shut it off for 30 sec and turned it back on now I'm getting 6 blinks then a pause and repeat. So I turned it to propane and won't light even with my torch, so I ran a new dedicated 20a extension cord to it. No change. No more clicks from the board. Ordered a new board and thermostator. Board looks fine every thing seems to be with in ohm specs but the propane still won't fire up. I'm going to by pass everything in the mourning for the propane circuit and see what happens. Nothing comes up about 6 blinks in the manual nor norcold web site. Vents r clear, roof vent is clear, so I'm going to let it sit over night and have a big ol fan blowing up into the space for the coils. Propane was working fine 2 days ago now it won't do anything... Prolly going to pull it out and replace with a DC unit or a better model absorption type. And yes I'm a HVAC guy plus a mechanic so just weird. Ever since we lost power 2 months ago it's been acting up and the freezer has never had a problem tho
N611 . . . It was running great for a year but then quit. Could be the NM summer heat is too much and the cycle is disrupted by a fault. I found page 21 in my Service Manual and will try the reset, and just not run the unit in Summer. 102 deg out there right now, but its a 'dry heat.'
I have the other control panel that was on page 37. I cannot find the pin to connect to and cannot find that manual in the internet. Anyone can help with that?
Mike Thompson RV in Santfee Springs Ca.wants $215 an hour to diagnose a 1210 norcold that isn't cooling and quoted it would take TWO HOURS to do that. That is $430 and haven't even started to do repairs. The cost could be between $3000 - 4500. Thru you tube I founded it was the thermistor $18.86 was the cost.
Would this be a potential fix for the 6 flashing lights? The manual doesn’t mention 6 flashes, but it happens and is currently to happening on my fridge which is the same as the one in this video. Great video.
This video covers this board on an Norcold N611 fridge that had 5 lights blinking. If you have another model or the same model and getting 6 blinks then this video does not pertain to your fridge.

Hi, I have the Norcold 611 that is no cool and have a solid Green light. I didn't know I had a problem until I took out the milk for my cereal and it was warm. Any ideas and where can I get that Norcold manual if possible?
Might be a stupid question but do I have to have a battery hooked up to the trailer in order for the fridge to operate properly?? Is there a circuit that it detects when the battery is hooked up and that completes the circuit?? I’m new to this and I don’t know much about it…. But I have the exact same fridge and it’s doing the exact same thing and I don’t have a battery.
Hi Kenny, Great video. Our Norcold is an N611 but it has a 10 pin instead of 16 pin on the panel. Do you have any idea how we could do a reset on that?

Help. I also have the 10-pin connector. Maybe you could do a video of that page of the manual. All i need to know is which pin is reset. Everything else should be close enough. @hillbillyrv
It’s funny that the factory doesn’t want the owner of the equipment to know how to reset the fault. I personally don’t see it being a safety issue for the owner. If they keep trying to reset it, might not be good for heater or cooling unit, but it’s probably already bad, if that’s the problem. I’m sure you had to pay for training to become a factory authorized service person. Thanks for sharing the secret. I have always worked for Mechanical Contractors, never factory shops. It has always been an issue to get OEM manuals. The internet has made it easier, but some brands are pretty tight about information.
I have a n611 and on the board there are 2 different pin plugs , one is at the top left corner and the other larger one is on the bottom middle right side, the green light is flashing three times and then a three second pause, what pin do I use to reset it?

@@hillbillyrv ok is there another video ? Everything seems fine except it suddenly quit. Power cord source good, components are hot and I can hear it running. Could it be freon? I don't use propane bc of a leak so it's on electric. Any thoughts on norcold N81X model
@@susanvillarini7763 If you had a leak, it's done. It is not freon it is an ammonia based coolant and even the smallest leak is catastrophic to the fridge.
Mine seems to not be on and flashing 10 times im at my whits end
10 is a lot. Have you googled that?
What do i ground out? 15 or 16 ?ffs
If you have this same exact board you will grind which ever one I said in the video. I don’t remember. If you have a different board this video is not for you.
No cool? Well DUH!
Ha ha
I hate those covers, stupid design.
From what im seeing and hearing lp refers are going away , soon you won't have to
do this procedure but they'll be another one for the 12volt junk there building now.
Nice work.
Those covers are completely stupid. I am not impressed by the 12 volt refrigerators.
Hey hillbilly buddy, thanks for helping out with those awesome tips. I was able to reset my refrigerator and stop the blinking code. However, now my LP option won’t stay lit it fires and then it sounds like it continues to try and fire even though it’s lit and then about 10 seconds later it kicks off.😩
Any ideas?
Board is not reading the flame and it is continuing to try to light until it faults out.
