Amazing interview, with an amazing man! I have the absolute pleasure of not only working for Peter, but being able to call him a friend. He’ll do anything for anyone with a lot of cases we do are free to the end user! It was so painful seeing all the negative comments from trolls that didn’t take the time to inform themselves of what Peter actually does. He’ll drop everything to bring closure for families! Not many people can say that!!

I don't know him like you do.
Have met him,he was v stand up bloke. Polite kind, and v respectful.
I certainly got the impression he cares deeply about his work ethics and the people behind the missing ones.
You are indeed lucky to have a great boss.

Don't you think he did too much "informing" people who he is? His media interaction was a farce and 90% of the media circus, armchair detectives and tik tokers were fuelled by his MANY interviews and wild claims.
For someone with apparently 20-30 years of rescue and missing person cases and police operations, don't you think it's common sense not to make bold guarantees, theories and speculation to the media?
Whether he thinks police should have been giving more updates then they were or not that's not his decision. Just because media was there didn't mean he had to talk to them and if he did then it's common sense to stick to facts and not theories.
Day 1 he started talking about fouls play in the media. He complains there was no media corden, he went on a panel at Channel 5 studios.
His ego talked too much, made guarantees he should have and he caused a storm that Nicola's family and other missing people's families are STILL suffering from.
He said he was certain he found Nicola. Why did it take 4 months and the upcoming inquest to simply look at his enhanced images? That should ALWAYS be done at EARLIEST opportunity even if a target hasn't been located.
At best he was disruptive, careless and naive. At worst he was inept, incompetent and egotistical.
Either way neither is suitable for delicate situations like missing person searches.
His criticism isn't for not finding Nicola, it doesn't matter if he has sonar images or not.
His criticism is for how he acted in the media. Not only can he not deny that, but he continues to publicly act the same way.
His career working with police is over. His own fault

This is such a fascinating story and a compelling view which has instilled nothing but great admiration and respect for this true gentleman. It is wonderful that he has realised his childhood dream to become a rescuer but also to use his passion, tenacity and investigative skills to solve crimes. He certainly has proved to be an expert in his field. His quest to improve the safety for younger people in and around water is laudable and I wish him continued success with that project. So much to say to Pete and James...I'm a 60 year old fella from Peckham, worked 35 years as self-employed bricklayer, gave it up 2005 to look after mum who "went upstairs" in 2017,she had vascular dementia and was housebound + disabled BUT I forget the bad times and remember the GOOD! just to say Pete I lived in Wessex house 1995-2013,overlooking Old Kent Rd. Fire station yard and when I was in my flat(on balcony looking down on yard) one day a week for 10 hours while carers were with mum(sheltered warden controlled flat in Pimlico) it was fascinating watching fire crew go through their exercises and drills and u mentioned u worked with fire crews in Southwark, maybe might have seen u in yard? did u have a perm back then Pete? ha ha ha ha! only jokin mate cos as a fellow baldy(luv it mate-shave my nut myself, goatee beard, keep it neat + tidy-save £ on haircuts,in shower every mornin washin head, water runs off etc ha ha ha ha) 😂 😉

Absolute admiration and respect for the work you've done + continue to do and your team and firemen/women(must be P.C.!) ha ha, ambulance crews on ground and in the air,MOST police, and other rescue services= I applaud ALL of you! What a fantastic interview! Well done James & Peter. Good people always seem to get the crap end of the deal sadly. Such an intelligent man! I truly respect everything you do Peter. Thank you.

Thank god there is people like this man to find all the people he has x I for 1 am proud of you and hope to god I never need to have you find anyone in my family but I know if that had ever been you would do your best to do so people can judge from afar but they don’t see what work you do thank you to you and your team ❤

The people who tried to drag Peter and his excellent team's reputation through the mud, did Peter a great favor, because now they know they got a lot of people out here absolutely admiring them for what they do. I have the greatest respect for Peter and his team. Thanks James for this podcast.

That was absolutely class. Could listen to him all day, so many stories, and as grim as it is, hearing about finding bodies etc is fascinating. That couple who died whilst diving is horrific though, she essentially was dragged 70m to her death because of her bf! Crazy. Great podcast!

What an amazing bloke Peter is , imo if there's a body then he's finding them without no doubt, That's why for me there's still something really strange about the Nicola Bully death/ murder.

Watched for a second time so again Thank you Peter and your team and do hope that after Nicola Bulley's inquest you can come back and discuss her case as it's a complete mystery to many people. Will this ever be solved and not the hypothesis
