@@xXmlgamingXx355 yes, but it was a pain in the ass sometimes (especially when you buy an MacBook Air which doesn’t have a touchbar) as soon as your Mac booted up it would automatically unlock.
That's the most useful thing since the invention of watches.

Dude this is just a solution now that everyone needs to use FACE MASKS so it's just for Face ID. There's no solution for Touch ID, but what's the point, if you can't unlock it with gloves you probably can't use it either because of the gloves and the touch screen, right?

Too bad my face id is broken because apple said it’s water resistance and I tried it for 5 mins on and off the water.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ . Giving false advertisement. And I quote “ iphone is not water proof. But only water resistant “
*WATER RESISTANT* meaning: "Able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely." This is EXACTLY what it means. And it's officially stated that iPhones are just water resistant, NOT waterproof. And you're even saying it yourself.
Apple states CLEARLY that you're NOT supposed to do that. It's just resistant for accidents, if it drops accidentally and you quickly take it out, for splashes etc. Not for idi0ts who just dunk their phones for fun without getting properly informed and yet they facepalm the manufacturer.🤦🏼♀️ It's your own fault and only yours if you screwed your phone voluntarily.

You should have used the beta then I’ve been using My watch to unlock my phone for at least the past 4 months
Unpair and reset many times still no free space 1.6gb is used by software in s3. Do u guys have any solution to update in series 3. Very frustrating better not to upload update for s3.

How about discontinuing the Series 3 and admitting the thing is no longer capable of receiving updates? The thing does not have enough storage to update anymore regardless of how much storage you clear.
I don’t think this seemlessly works. I have latest apple watch version updates today and iPhone 11 pro 14.8 iOS… it doesn’t work at all… not even once…

where I live we have to wear masks in stores. If I can't use the watch/phone combo for purchases what's the point? Will be stuck with SE 2020.

That's one really useful feature these days, it does not work seamlessly every time tough.
I mean yeah you have to wear a mask but that's by far the best way to solve this problem for phones that only use face unlock

Only if this feature was launched a little sooner it would’ve saved me $200 in fines that my condo management charged me for “removing mask while on property”

it took a year but it's better late than never
One thing that isn’t mentioned in this VDO is that the WIFI on an iPhone must be turned on in order for this function to work. So basically we have to always keep the WIFI on though (I’m using Series 3 GPS)
But why would you switch WiFi off?? 🤔

It just says to connect to Bluetooth device
But it has speakers as I listen to call on it and even Siri replies

This feature was meant to support Face ID when your face is covered by a face mask or sunglasses. Devices that use Touch ID and have a Home button do not use Face ID. Can you remotely lock your iPhone without this process?
Let say a friend has access to my unlocked iPhone and I want remotely lock it before they get access to my sensative data!

Hmmm. I usually always have my watch on at home, so my phone usually unlocks when I pick it up. But I have just been to the shops and needed to wear a face mask. My phone didn't recognise me and just asked for the passcode to unlock it, rather than prompt me to use my watch?

Ok look, my Iphone XR Face ID is not working, so I thought with this update I can unlock my phone with my apple watch. But you need to set up Face ID before turning on that feature. WHYY????? Can Apple please change that!!!!
