Nice! Even in the murky water. You should do a catch and cook episode.

Thanks! Yeah these saugeye get that from they’re sauger parent. They actually prefer the muddy water. It’s part of how they hunt. I’ll do a catch and cook here soon. I didn’t do it this time because I was trying a new recipe and it ended up being shit. Saved by the Frank’s red hot! 😂 I’m gonna go back to my normal recipe

@@TKJ_Fishing your videos always get me wanting to head out to the lake. Might have to stop by R&R and grab some big Joshy's. Just a suggestion, you should cook what catch, regardless of the species lol.

@@matthewshoaf9008 I don’t keep and cook bass. Not unless they’re fatally wounded and legal. Not gonna waste em. And I’ve tried carp, it’s too tedious. Not horrible, but not worth the work. And they spoil quick. I do eat wipers, I’ve cooked drum, and I even (drunk lol) cooked a gizzard shad one time on a “bet you wouldn’t”. Word of advice, DONT DO IT😂 I eat a lot of catfish too.

@@matthewshoaf9008 keep your eye on algae bloom reports in the summer though. It’s very important you don’t eat fish for a period during and after algae blooms. Sometimes lakes will post signage at the boat ramps but you can get the reports from odnr website and even Ohio fishing report Facebook pages which is what I usually get that info from.
