- The Touch screen overlay CarPlay & Reversing camera was retrofitted
on this 2015 Maseati GT model.
Uses existing audio setup - screen and sound connection via internal AUX connection, with 7" Transparent touch overlay.
Comes with dedicated USB port, and Android 5.1 OS platform with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay App integrated inside.

I'm in the UK and emailed Naviplus. They were very helpful and I ordered the kit from them online. I ordered it on the Friday and it was delivered the following Wednesday. You have to pay quite a bit for international shipping but great service all the same. Prestige Installs St Albans are installing it all for me

Inspired by this video, I decided to buy the equipment and do the installation, up until now the install is going very well, the only issue I have is that the CAN wires marked in the instruction don't match what I have. Can you tell me which wires should I use to connect the CAN-L and CAN-H from the head unit connector in a 2014 granturismo?, the instruction says pink/white and pink/black unfortunately I don't have them.

Not sure when you purchased the unit from us, but in order to prevent that confusion we've been started to make the connection plug and play Harness.

How long does this usually take to fit? Can any car entertainment shop fit it? Is it complicated? Thanks
Normally takes 2.5 hours for touch CarPlay / Android Auto integration.
And if camera is getting installed also :
1.5 hours on top for GranTurismo, and approx 2 hours for GranCabrio.
Depends on their experience though.

If you are talking about the same Maserati audio in video, then yes we can.
Nice install. I did the same (back up and Apple CarPlay) on my 2015. I wish Maserati would have made this a factory option.
Indeed, kinda pity that GT and GC were still using old audio whilst QP at least received UConnect platform earlier than them

Hi, you can purchase the product from us and take it to local auto electricians, as us being in Melbourne we don't know anyone in LA or CA in general.
Probably best to consult with them to see if they have such experience with Maserati.
That is the issue. I don't know of anyone who has the experience doing it.
@@LADudeYo Whilst we wish we can help, the last auto electrician / customer who installed it was outside of CA, in fact he was outside of Western states.

Frankly speaking as we are not a big supplier nor manufacturer (we are just an auto electricians in Melbourne) we do not have any plans of having distributor outside of Australia.
Howeve we still do provide int' shipping and online purchase for overseas customers.

interested for my GT (but in USA) I use the existing AUX/USB in the glove compartment for a Bluetooth adapter to stream music which the factory Bluetooth doesn't allow, If I installed your system does the phone have to be plugged in for CarPlay? earlier versions required this but many new cars do this wirelessly now. Will I still have to plug my phone in to operate CarPlay?
The phone is required to be connected on our CarPlay module box, via Lightning cable.
The AUX we've mentioned in video, is just for sounds to be played through speakers, and it will connected between the Carplay module box and the AUX input in glove box.
Having said that, iPhone must be connected via USB in order to perform CarPlay on the screen.

My .02 cents. The future is here. It's wireless carplay; you get in your car, turn it on and within 10-15 seconds the music starts playing from your Spotify app without plugging anything in. I don't know why anyone would want wired carplay; it's quite a chore to plug in a phone every time you get in your car. I have a Pioneer head unit in my 04 tahoe; wireless carplay, siri, google maps, etc. It was $800 or so but now has a better infotainment system than most cars 2018 and older. A top trim 2018 tahoe for reference probably still sells for 40k+. The stereo cost less than the taxes I would have paid on buying even a used 2019. For maserati's, the maseratilife forum has some info on an "AuCar" unit that has wireless carplay/android. Maybe a local shop can install - otherwise it's a DIY and doesn't look too fun!
