I'm here because the tires I bought said don't put on a 6.5 in rim. .the Civic I have has stock 6.5 rims... The wheels on the rim right now are 205/55/r16 . But has 205 on the car and the ones I bought are 205. But the tires say don't put 205 205cm. (8inch width tire ) on a 6.5. which is 165mm tire. So now what .was I not supposed to know every forum say 205 stock. That isn't true. At all.. if we had the Manual we would know this I guess. So will a 165r55/16 fit on the rim for clarification? But I'm not even sure the side walla are supposed to be that high. But I don't know that yet. I just know this I think?
My best guess would be to check your door jam, usually there is a sticker there that shows the recommended size tire for the front and back if it matches the size you bought it should be fine
@@chefdaddy9025 what if it isn't fine. It said 205 . someone has changed all the stickers cause it doesn't match the owners manual. So never just say anything and assume something is correct even if it looks right. So. The door sticker doesn't match the tire size or stock rim..so by that I know it was changed in customs or road safety thru American had to been. Cause the sticker tire size doesn't match the 205 8 inch wheel. So 205 mm is 8 inch wheel on a 6.5 stock rim. Supposed to be 165/55r16. Someone changed them .so it isn't fine to assume it's correct. The government does weird shyt like this as I see with my own eyes 👀
@@cognac8297 it really depends what your going for, if your going off bone stock you shouldn't have a hard time researching the stock specifications. Any modifications always run risk of underperformance of the vehicles original setup.

And also I think the 165/55 would be fine also, it probably have a better look on the car also
