Same here. I think Amorphis has somehow been part of my life since my childhood. So, in good and bad times, these dudes have given me strength. They have somehow created a sound that goes deep in the feels. Maybe it is the Nordic blood, I don't know, but I know that it means alot to me!

I agree! Tomi has been a fundamental part of the sound of Amorphis in recent years. There are a couple of vocalists with similar range, and excellent cleans and growls (Christian Alvestam, Dan Swano), but the problem is that they don't sound as good singing live as they do in the studio, and Tomi sounds the same as in the studio.
Damn....that heavy verse riff starting at 1:15 just might be my favorite on the whole cd, and they only play it twice! Come back to these heavy riffs one more time at the end of the song!

While I've never stopped enjoying your music, the recent albums have much more of that Tomi borderline guttural low that he does better than almost anyone! Huge fan of the Deep Purple-esque keyboards in this one!

An epic Nordic saga Sabaton-style but crammed into five minutes of Prog Metal. Fortunately the musicianship and quality production that throws in everything but the kitchen sink match the epic theme, making a great listening experience. One to nod your head to in the recliner rather than throw yourself around to in the kitchen. My Score: Good 3*
I will convert this video to an anaglyph 3d format via video editing, put on my green & red 3d glasses and see this video in a whole new way. As it is the most epic, 3d animation I've ever seen. As only the Finnish can accomplish. If I could afford a 3d tv I'd try that method too, but in my experience old school, horror based, anaglyph 3d is superior to the powered 3d glasses. Only if ppl knew they can convert any video to an anaglyph 3d format via simple video editing I bet ppl would throw on the green and blue glasses like it's a 1950s horror movie theater again.
