PSA for zealot: Power weapons and heavy swords have dodge distance and limit on the defence stat because they have no mobility stat. That makes your defence actually important. Also applies to Ogryn for some weapons.

Fantastic explanation, I hope you take a look at the new update it's been really fun so far, just got my first class to 30 which was veteran.
One thing Fatshark did really well with stats is the damage and stagger breakdown table for each hit vs armor type vs hit type. That table is great, a ton of other games would never have bothered to show anything even remotely similar. Typically the only way to access info of such type would be an external, third-party wiki.
Are there enough blessing/talent options that negate the need for high bars on certain weapons to warrant covering? I know Uncanny Strikes completely negates the need for a good penetration roll on weapons that can reasonably expect to have 5 stacks at all times like knife and force sword. The difference in damage vs carapace between an 80 damage 80 pen knife at full stacks and a 80 damage 40 pen knife at full stacks is
Yeah like on some Staff builds on Psyker, Flurry Blessing increases Charge Speed, so 80 modifier isn't that necessary. On Axes which I would say needs Brutal Momentum as they have no Cleave do not need the modifier that increases Cleave as it grants basically nothing anyway. Other examples of course
Mobility for knife/laspistol is godtier so I can mop up the plasteel drops on the map while my random teammates are busy tripping over eachother to compete for the most killing blows on most elites up until they overextend and don't know how to handle 4 crushers that they aggroed at the same time.
15:40 Uhh 1.66 seconds is ~14% faster than 1.9 seconds, or another way to look at it is that 80% charge rate is ~87% of the time needed to charge compared to 0%
Well damn, I've been Purgatusing wrong this whole time too. I thought Damage was the dump stat because the damage spread was so small and that applied to the initial damage on application.
15:40 Having 1.66s charge rate instead of 1.90s is barely a 13% improvement, not a 30% improvement as you mention. Still an important stat, but not in the scale you describe.
It should be noted, much like how some damage stats give additional modifiers, other stats also aren't all the same. For instance, Defence on the Heavy Sword is not a dump stat, as it also affects your dodges. I'm also not sure how impactful Warp Resistance is on Force Swords, since their power-up isn't generally something I spam too much when using it (and getting to high peril for the extra power and toughness damage resistance has other benefits). Not sure if it reduces gain from Scrier's Gaze or Kinetic Deflection, but if it does, that certainly gives it more value. PS. Sorry if you see this twice, accidentally commented on the wrong video at first, ha.

Heard you say you aren't doing well and I know you are the type to not take flattery and praise well, but you put out good content and I hope to hear more from you.
You dont show the percentage so its hard to tell a numerical difference in the quell speed, but it ticks down 9 times in the first test and 8 times in the second, implying each tick of quelling is doing 12.5% more, at least, as it looks like the last chunk of the 80% test was less than a full tick. Now if you do 142.86 ÷ 126.58 that is 1.128 So 12.8% better, consistent with the 8 ticks vs 9 ticks mentioned above. So that stat isnt bugged and seems bang on with your test to where you would expect it to be. I would say that while a full quell has a trivial difference in time taken, partial quells and tap-quelling would see that full 12.8% bonus, which also grants toughness etc etc so makes a fairly decent difference.
Will you be redoing the class perk trees now that the update is out or no? Your guides are great and i cant find anyone else who goes this in depth on topics like this

Hey Tanner, thanks a lot for you content! Can you clear something regarding gun psyker? I don't seem to understand how to deal with Crushers. Even 1 is requiring almost a whole mag, and when there is a pack of them - it's a nightmare to deal with. Their armor makes them really tough to break with MK5 on gun psyker build. Any tips on how to deal with them?
@@sturmmagnunstein1008 thanks for advice! It's really risky to go melee against pack of crushers, Tanner hinself said it. Also, in his Gun Psyker video, he advises again brain burst. And brain burst doesn't even oneshot them, unbuffed does around half of their health in 1 hit :(
As far as i know Toughness works as a percentage reduction to incoming damage when it isnt full. For example if i have 50% toughness an incoming hit doing 100 damage is gonna do 50% damage. This is why many people gravitate having high toughness over health, as they see bleedthrough damage as a natural part of gameplay, and reducing it is a key in taking less overall damage. There are exceptional attacks that can absolutely destroy you even if your toughness is full, though. A crusher or maulers overhead cannot be blocked entirely, and you will take toughness and health damage even when youre looking at the attacker when blocking.
I miss your warframe content. Sad to see you’ve deleted your videos. I hate gaz with a burning passion for what he did to you. I’m sure you’re gonna mock me for still playing warframe but your content helped me grow as a player immensely. Your impact on that community is still felt by some.
this was recorded a little over half a year before crafting rework. weapon rating used to go up to 550, now it's 500. you can still see 500+ item ratings post-update with mods.
If I were to guess: - Their survivability is broken: free wounds, free toughness. - ranged weapons almost have no way to use them skillfully, its either extremely faceroll, or RNG (ie. the reason he hates shotguns) - 80% of the cover in maps is too small to use (offset by the survivability, but it basically says: you can be dumb playing this, no skill required) - weapon pool is about half of other classes, so combos are less varied - they're not edgy enough (personal cosmetic preference)

You cannot escape if anything goes wrong, your stamina regen delay is also stupidly long that it's difficult to block for extended period of time and you're kinda forced to stand and fight in bad situations. While you do have unique tools for such cases, this is also where you start getting netted and pounced, and no amount of durability will help if you found yourself snared. From my very shallow and likely wrong understanding of the class, you're pretty much supposed to take Thunderous on your club then take Batter to smack anything in your melee range. But it just feels like a good portion of the talent tree just encourage you to exchange hits with enemies which is a very questionable design choice. At some point, extra health just stops being helpful and the poor mobility becomes the biggest limiting factor of your gameplay.

Brainburst on hit is your friend. Better yet just switch to a melee. Crits are also helpful as those deal with armour well.

Nice content, but I dropped this game a month ago. One of the worst crafting systems I've ever seen.
Why? You can freely and endlessly modify 2 out of 4 perks/blessings on weapons.
