Best car i ever bought
2023 just getting my new Ignis SZ5 this week in burning red colour can’t wait. Had a Fiat 500 but had so much trouble with it. Love your review Juliet. You pup is adorable too. (UK)

I disagree that the 2020 update is "minor". It's actually significantly nicer and more classy feeling. I wish they'd sorted the back out, though.
Well this is a bit strange. I have just rewatched this video. It seems the "new" Ignis as featured in the above video released in South Africa is not as "new" as released here in Europe. Europe has the new Hybrid engine, and new instrument cluster for starters. The top of the range version (called GLX here in Spain) also has the sliding rear bench and very nice leather wrapped steering wheel. Also has dual camera emergency braking system and possibly a few other differences. Unfortunately it is more expensive... R298000. It's a super little car for a city runabout and holds 4 tall adults comfortably too.
Nothing new. Every region has different specs accross all brands..

I've got a 2020 GLX amt.
My ave consumption is 4.9litres per 100km.
Mostly highway.
Lotsa gadgets. I wish the steering wheel was leather but that's easily fixed with a cover. Not a fan of the amt box but I'm slowly getting used to it's idiosyncrasies.
What is about performance on hills with full passengers.

I bought this car in Nov 23, the hybrid system won't work unless it is over 7C outside. If you live in a cool climate it's not going to work for months during the year.
I bought the top spec car in the UK 2.5 years ago. It’s so expensive now.

My wife has the 2019 GLX manual and my hat it's got pep for a 1.2. It handles like a box of chips and the steering is a bit vague but hey its will prob destroy most 1.6 NA cars and its got better gadgets. Overall great car!
Has anyone driven this on long highway trips? Thoughts?
My grandfather drove it on a 13 hour road trip with n his 2018 ignis… said it was easy as ever, drove like a dream to quote him

113nm not 131nm please get the facts right!
There is no engine in suzuki stable which produces 131Nm currently. They have handful of engines which are common across all variety of cars.Zero R&D for last 10-15 years.

It looks like someone's taken a large bread roll, then pushed, and prodded it round and about...., lobbed some red paint on it, and called it a car.
Problem with most car reviews is the person doing them has too much personal opinion. When I want to buy a car I go and test it for myself. If you need someone else’s opinion to help make your choice it shows lack of confidence in your own decision making.
