You didn't mention my favourite feature of the Ignis. I live in a scenic area of Ireland and I wanted a small car with big windows to better enjoy the views. Most modern car designs make it seem like I'm looking at beautiful mountain and sea views through letter-box slats in a door. You feel almost trapped inside your car. But the Ignis windows are fantastic and allow me to enjoy the views to maximum effect. The height of the seats also adds to the enjoyment of a beautiful scenic environment because they allow me to see over safety barriers on mountain roads to view the valleys below. This is a really great small car if you live in a scenic area or just enjoy regular touring and sight-seeing.
I'm using ignis for five years, not even a single complaint. I visit the service center only for routine service. Presently, my car crossed more than 76000 km. Ignis is very reliable, practical, parts are cheap and very easy for city use.❤

What a lovely little car and the lady thank you very much you described everything superbly it's been a real pleasure watching you and I am thinking of buying one because I am looking for a little car as mine has been 12 years old now. Your description about the little car was so well scripted that it was said in layman's terms of which I understood perfectly. Thank you sweetie. I off too see how much one off these in second hand range would cost, so wish me luck. 😊🎉🎉
Ignis reminds me of my first car I loved a lot, and that's the Renault Twingo (generation 2005 - 2007). It's pitty they changed Twingo so much that it's not the car I want to buy these days. I currently drive Kia Soul (2016), but since they now make only electric models in the UK and EU, Suzuki Ignis will be my next car. The fact it has 4 x4 is a huge plus for such a small car. Thank you for the review! This sweet little SUV would be a huge hit!
I drive a July-2022 model Maruti Suzuki Ignis in Nexa Blue color with 1.2 NA Engine. My 83 years old Precious Mother finds ingress and exit, so EASY due to 180mm GC. I love the Explosive Engine and great steering response 👏 Rear leg space is excellent and boot space is adequate. We in India have FRONT WHEEL DRIVE only. Very much underrated car in India and a GEM TOO!
Thanks Tish. Great review. These are super popular here in NZ..well at least in Whangarei where we live. For a town car they're perfect. We saw a camo green colour the other day and thought we should get one and chuck on some wider steelies etc. like pimping a Jimny!! Cool wee car..and we have a Swift..older..but cool.
Had our Ignis SZ5 for just over 12months .& me & my wife think it's great the quirky looks & drive are great fuel economy is good & we have had flat pack waredrobes in & all of my carp fishing gear no problem when you put down the seats loads of room we think it's great.
Own a 2017 automatic Ignis that I bought in Dec 2019 with just 800 miles on the clock, having previously had a smart fortwo for 12 years. And the Ignis is the logical replacement car for a smart owner, especially for forfour owners. It's spacious inside, quirky and economical to run for sure but it's also proved to be very reliable so far. Not a single fault or expensive out of warranty repair bill yet! That said the ride is a bit unrefined and hitting potholes is something you'll definitely want to avoid so much do you feel it in the cabin but overall it's a cracking little car for the money. Just a shame it doesn't have the 1 litre turbo engine as the 1.2 NA engine is a bit lackluster when going on to motorways and any fast standing starts tend to result in huge amounts of ESP intervention to prevent wheel slip as those tyres are uber skinny. Sure the interior could be more plush but it all feels like it was designed to last and where it matters most, under the hood, it seems well engineered and robust. It's not a patch on the Vitara or SCross obviously but if you're on a tighter budget and can't afford to buy either of those but still want to, take a look at an ignis, there's lots to like here!
@@wolfschindler8921 if it can do 110mph then it's only going to do it downhill!! Getting it there would be painful, it's at 3500rpm around 70mph as it is! It's not so much the top speed that's lacking but the acceleration and torque, it's a bit too lacking in both really
I’ve had 4 Altos (a great little motor) since its launch in 2009 but very tempted to move to the Ignis for my next car. These reviews are the best way get opinions as dealers are so unbelievably biased.
Being the cheapskate I am, I opted to buy used and went for 2021 SZ3 MHEV after owning Altos since 2009. And what a brilliant little car. Plenty of room front and back, clear dials and great all-round vision. But I’m most impressed by the economy, averaging over 60mpg on a mix of town, back roads and motorways.wish I’d got one earlier.
Sadly this colour and the rear seating arrangement is not available in INDIA but without rear spoiler it looks a bit odd. I own Zeta model of the Indian Specs Version which has a rear spoiler also with nexa blue colour. Really nice car, driving it for 3 years, silent and reliable engine.
Thinking of getting one of these next year after my MOT on current car is done. My thinking is get a 3yr old one until 2029 then get a new one. Reasoning being is in 2030 the UK car market with ICE cars V Electric. Getting new petrol one in 2029 will ensure I have ICE until im living somewhere condusive to an Electric vehicle. EV's not useful when your in a 1bed, 1st floor flat(cant imagine how messed up this is for people leaving on a 4th floor) & no charging area & where you park is 30 meters from the building you live in. This EV push is fcked up when you know currently a diesel is now cheaper & the infrastructure for EV's is simply not enough for people who cant park outside where they live or install a charger
I've had an AllGrip SZ5 Ignis for several years. The only negatives I have are: - The suspension in the back is REALLY bouncy, which makes it uncomfortable for passengers in the back on long trips. - Road noise at Motorway speeds. - Paintwork chips quite easily. Other than that, it's been a great little car.
I have one. 5 gear, sportive driving. Highest trim Level. Tempomat, hill Assistent and Emergency brakes, etc. Now 33.000 km. Happy with the SUV like entrance for the driver. Wow.
Sadly, here in Australia, the top-spec glx is not even close to the top spec in UK. We don't have any of the top sepc safety tech offered in UK sz5, the lack of mild hybrid tech is disappointing as well. It is a reliable little car tho.
Good presentation, iam from Philippines Manila a senior, I like Suzuki car's especially the s-presso a 1.0 engine, and a 5 person capacity and the SRP of 518,K Philippines pesos.
It's a bit sad to think they reduce the safety stars if a car doesn't have lane assist etc......I DON'T WANT lane assist....or things like auto braking. What a waste. I guess it's meant to help the people who are on their phones etc to keep from killing other people. I've been driving for 50 years now.....I've no problem staying between the lines or putting my foot on the brake to slow down.
Totally agree, I'd buy the basic version just to avoid it, was hoping it might have a cd player as I want to drive, not fiddle with touch screens and pairing phones etc, I'm 69 not a teenager and have had very few bumps.

Yeah I am curious about this. My wife has got a 2011 Suzuki splash with a manual trannie but we live in a major city with really really bad traffic. We were planning on trading in the splashy or selling it and getting the ignis but I am wondering about the cvt transmission. How does it drive? Do you think it will last?
We have a 2021 Ignis CVT and it's very good. Very smooth and easy to drive. It can rev high, as CVTs do, when you want to get a move on, but pottering around it's very quiet and frugal. We average just under 50mpg with town use and 60mpg on a run. At 70mph the CVT gearbox gives a long cruising gear, with the engine sitting at just over 2,000rpm. I'd recommend the CVT, way better than the earlier automated manual Ignis.
@@chrisoncars4879 thanks. I am over here in Indonesia and this is probably the best cheap new car I can buy. It's actually for my wife. She's tired of driving a manual and we live in a city with about 7 million people so it's stop and go traffic.
I have owned both the AGS Ignis which was not a true automatic and the CVT which was introduced a couple of years ago. The CVT is undoubtably the better of the two systems although it sounds different and is not the same as a more expensive full multi-gear automatic would have been. The car is definitely improved by the addition of the mild hybrid system which makes the take-up a bit peppier.
Why do Suzuki only give you one remote key with the Ignis and then ask a small fortune for another. Our car is driven by two drivers we keep the car key on the same ring as both our house keys. The second manual key doesn't work the immobiliser.
I can only speak for the UK but I found the problem with the AGS was mainly that it was not a proper automatic. It did not suit the gearbox and clutch. It would cause the car to judder in the cold at low speeds, mainly because it would change up from first to second too early. This would also cause problems when you needed to get away quickly because it would often hesitate. had a lot of work done to mine which improved things but did not eradicate these faults.
