Too unconventional, too blurry in terms of the point it's trying to make (even though Duke literally spells it out in of the scenes before the end of the film), a lot of Dutch angles, very chronologically splintered (A movie with a lot of drug abuse ? Chronologically slintered ? Who coulda though ?). Ofcourse it didn't do well. With mister Major Public, who wants the most obvious and easy-to-consume shit ? *Ofcourse it didn't do well !*
