wow!!! Anky... well what else can I say watching her ride brings tears to my eyes. I can only dream of being that good one day. Yes I've ridden and trained some brilliant horses. but there is something so harmonious between her and all her mounts. truly brilliant!!!
One quote that comes to mind from the spanish riding school is that " It takes 7 yrs to train a horse, but it takes a life time to become a rider." So true!!! each different horse we ride is able to challenge us to a different degree and is able to teach us something.
Wonderfully ridden. What a great pair. The horse is very calm and relaxed and is really enjoying his job. Not resistant or hesitant. the tow are as one.
Ive seen tons of competitions, and this ride IS one of my favorites, even after all of these years. Even tho this wasn't a mege-point ride. It would be nice if ppl who don't know dressage would just watch it and FEEL it, because it really IS something beautiful indeed :)
thats because I was on the AZ Dressage Board of Directors & I managed many shows this woman & many other talented ppl rode in for many yrs. There was NEVER ANY indication that anky ever abused her horses else shed have been ELIMINATED from ALL shows just like everyone else. In fact the pressure is much steeper once one is competing internationally
great job=)and all of you who dont like anky why are you watching this?why did you look it up?and her way of training is not bad or that horse would have thrown her long ago and he has his ears forward...
And I've ridden Prix St George and trained Grand Prix and have just broken in my 3 year old. When I trained Grand Prix I trained with a woman who used to beat Anky. Chewing the bit and white lips is a sign of relaxation. White strings of drool and a furiously working tail (as is not present here as he is allowed to use his neck more, there is less hand and less leg) is not. So thanks for your concern, but there's not much I would want to learn from Anky
@naturalhorsemanship4 Couldn't agree more. GP dressage takes years and years of training and Anky's horses are clearly trained to a very high degree. That being said, there is a school of thought (to which I belong) that Anky tries to shortcut those years by using hyperflexion.
I sympathise, he's very responsive but a bit of an oaf. I think he has q.a significant lateral sway in piaffe too. But as I said, wow that horse would do anything for her. What a sweetie, undoubtedly a real treat to ride.
@HawkstarOfficial You're right. I can play basketball and soccer. But I am horsebackriding now for a couple of years and it much harder than the ordinary sports. You have to be coordinated and have to think about what you do and it's just a wonderful sport and I hope to become better at it every week :)
I love how all the Anky preachers say that. "Watch and learn". "You are jelous". "don't talk about something you know nothing about". I know a lot about Rollkur and why it's NOT a good way to train-having ridden from both sides of the story. I've watched it in their environment-not at big shows where the facade is up. I never said she doesn't know how to train a horse, but it's the method of hyperflexion that I can't stand, not Anky.
@naturalhorsemanship4 Actually you can. Salinero is an outstanding example of excellent breeding for movement and type. He naturally moves like that. Her training methods are anathema to dressage. She is scored so well because she rides beautifully and her horses move so expressively, not because her training is great.
To all of you sayign this is cruel & riding in general is cruel..It is SOOO not!I have a 5 year old mare,i am training her in dressage, hunter & stadium... I have the best relationship with her.She will follow me around!I dont abuse her, and guys..ENGLISH SPURS ARE STUBS!They dont do much but make the cues easier and less noticeable which is key in dressage at this level. Its tought work for both rider and horse but it only works this well when the repesct is mutual. I suggest you check it out.
judges are quite observant to ommiting non existent halts or piaffe that went out the window, too. There is a new system being put in place to assess judges sutibility
Oh give me a break. The Parelli method is based on body postions and subtle physical cues, not telepathy. The good majority of it is a marketing strategy, the rest is simple common sense. As for Anky, whether or not you like her or not, her horse in this video looks comfortable. Rollkur, when done correctly, is not bad, just like almost any other traning methods. In the hands of an amateur, that's when it becomes a problem.
lorenzosoukoroff - she is not hard on the mouth she just uses alot of contact. If you have a look most GP horses these days are broken at the third verdibray
look all movement's in Dressage are movement that horse's can do naturally. And the Rollkur is somethind a horse can do on it's own, have you ever seen a stallion that'a all jumpy and getty? He will round out his neck like that trust me I know I handle a stallion and he will do that when there are mare's close to him. Also my horse goes the same way too because when he goes that way he is using is back end and also make his back stronger whicht he need's for jumping.
My instructor who, by the way, is going to the olympics this summer. Has been taking lessons from Anky and never have I seen her use hyperflexion, nor have I ever seen Anky use hyperflexion. If she does use it (which I doubt) then she obviously isn't teaching it as a good choice for her students. My instructor always tells me to be gentle and be careful to not over flex the horse's neck. So I don't know where you get your facts, but I don't believe that they are true.
If the horse doesn't like it, it just won't perform and it's off to the next horse who likes it. Besides, I think it's a hell of a harder time for the rider.
This is outstanding. I think all freestyle dressage should aspire to be this dramatic...but she didn't actually use this music? That's too bad, but awesome job editing. I wish the video was less shaky, it would be perfect.
Obviosly whatever Anky is doing is working for her. She is the world champion AND the worlds best freestyle dressage rider. So she must know a thing or two because she is at that level and you aren't. You shouldnt put down a persons methods either if you dont know how its being used - there are people that use a method badly and then there are people that use a method well. The horse is comfortable, listening and relaxed. What more could you want in your horse at this level of competition?
amen! its because the horse is absolutely comfortable & there is xzero abuse involved. Anky trolls are famous, they will never stop lying about her or harrassing her, I wonder if theyl still be here 12 yrs or so from now. probably so LOL
funny how they show no stress after performing, and they go thru each move withour any evident stress (horses ALWAYS shoe when theyre under stress, all of the time) :P bunch of anky haters dont know what theyre talking about! there are MANY whom are there during ALL Rated horse shows, just looking for ANY sort of abuse at all whatsoever........NO one makes it to the OLYMPICS if they are abusive. Thats a fact! NO ONE
@TrueColours044 Ah, but is she anywhere near the classical masters like Dr Klimke, Phillipe Karl and Christine Stuckelberger? Her training methods have made her a pariah in the dressage world....
Some people say she is a bitch, very arrogant and thinks she is better than everybody else and others say she's nice. A good friend of mine hates her. Her handicaped niece loved Anky and wanted an autograph very badly so they asked and she refused by saying she had better things to do. Or sometimes she didn't even show up for signing sessions. Those kind of actions. I think she knows she is THE Anky and can pull shit on people.
for judging at big competitions because it seems anky wins a lot, period, regardless of what her horses do or don't do. I'm not saying shes a shit rider-she can clearly ride, or a bitch, I can't claim that on someone I don't know for a bar of soap, but I can say I can't stand her training methods and the fact she does win when, plain and simple, she shouldn't
what the hell?! anky does not mistreat her horses... if you see how calm they are in her championships then you will realise that she does not mistreat them... if a horse wasn't calm with their rider then obviously they would do everything to get their rider off their back... see Salinero doing that to Anky?? i think not...
What I've been leaving on the "western" sites: Please...spend 7-8 minutes and watch this: XYZ (link to a Gold Medal site) Going in a circle is lots of fun....try to make your horse canter....oh....wait...."lope" in one spot is almost impossible.
wow!!! Anky... well what else can I say watching her ride brings tears to my eyes. I can only dream of being that good one day. Yes I've ridden and trained some brilliant horses. but there is something so harmonious between her and all her mounts. truly brilliant!!!

Lovely, highly dramatic and beautifully timed music to the horses moves.
Wonderfully ridden. What a great pair. The horse is very calm and relaxed and is really enjoying his job. Not resistant or hesitant. the tow are as one.
Se järjestyy ja menee hyvin ❤

She is great!!!!!! I cant say anything else I love she and her horse. I want ride in 1/10 like Anky
dressage and requiem for a dream=awesome
Love this
the horse is doing a very good job, i love the music!
great job=)and all of you who dont like anky why are you watching this?why did you look it up?and her way of training is not bad or that horse would have thrown her long ago and he has his ears forward...
i just love anky and salinero
she is amazing!
amazing horse. I looks like it loves what it dose.
brill horse. love music
Thats what you say, she is a champion in the netherlands (where i come from) and she is the best.
that horse is rocking out to the music and is enjoyin it. xD
I really agree.
On top of that, te horse wouldn't be so relaxed and willing to work and able to concentrate if it didn't feel perfectly comfortable.
great horse and rider!
And I've ridden Prix St George and trained Grand Prix and have just broken in my 3 year old. When I trained Grand Prix I trained with a woman who used to beat Anky.

that horse is absolutley beautiful. the only work needed with him is his piaffe

amzing this music!
She is our real dancer!
Anky is amazing
this is really incredibly!
Yeah! That's what I felt!
That happens everytime they change the music. Suddently the routine doesn't make any sense!
Very good ❤
I love how all the Anky preachers say that. "Watch and learn". "You are jelous". "don't talk about something you know nothing about".

can you send me a link of that information? i want to see/read it with my own eyes.

i totally agree with that
requiem for a dream..

@mcintyreanna I love this music too. Please let me know if you find them and what they're called! Thanks
I
WOW! YOUR AWSOME!!
this is i dont know how to discribe it so i just say good job !!!!! go anky!!
@101Ilovehorses that doesn't matter, the horse is still pulled into the contact insted of pushed up into it
judges are quite observant to ommiting non existent halts or piaffe that went out the window, too. There is a new system being put in place to assess judges sutibility
think you should figure out a way to get her to see her kur to this music. works quite well actually.
The song is also from twilight/new moon! :D
its good to know im not the only one

this song is just perfect to be a dressage-music *_*

The music is "Requiem for a dream" by Leana
prison break theme tune, then requeim to a dream theme
lorenzosoukoroff - she is not hard on the mouth she just uses alot of contact. If you have a look most GP horses these days are broken at the third verdibray

thankyou!! lovelove xxxx
creepy music but an otherwise awesome video!!

gorgeous! what place was she in 2004?
Ahahaa, way to put it bluntly XD
But I agree with you.
@FireWhisp FINALLY someone who understands!! :D
chewing the bit can actually display discomfort in the horse's back, or so I've been told.
@FireWhisp yeah and still she competes
please understand that i`m against rollkur and other abuse
What music are u suing?
booniebunny - you said it all
whats the name of the first song??
Hey go6go6go6 du hast recht mit dem dressur das dass die dressur fürs pferd da is und nicht anders rum....
This is outstanding. I think all freestyle dressage should aspire to be this dramatic...but she didn't actually use this music? That's too bad, but awesome job editing.

zij is zoo goedd
how does she get the horse to move like that?
amen! its because the horse is absolutely comfortable & there is xzero abuse involved. Anky trolls are famous, they will never stop lying about her or harrassing her, I wonder if theyl still be here 12 yrs or so from now. probably so LOL

@StormValleyStables if u looked salinaros head is not to his chest
@Missente96 i think if the horse can`t breath right she wouldn`t compete with him
anky has a vet to check her horses to you know : \
@TrueColours044 Ah, but is she anywhere near the classical masters like Dr Klimke, Phillipe Karl and Christine Stuckelberger? Her training methods have made her a pariah in the dressage world....
Kannustan sinua ❤

what is the song name ? ;D
With pleasure.
I'm afraid the text is in german but you should be able to translate it with an online translator in case you don't speak it.
but still good job. I need to find music for my horse
What breed is her black horse?
Erikislove - what are you talking about
Is this the original music to which she was dancing? It doesn't look like it! :(
And a young daughter named Ava Eden
Hello miss hyperflexion
I don't even see why this is Prison Break music.. It's Requiem for a Dream
Am Anfang Prison Break song, dann Requim for a dream.
@SimplyCrazy1996 well, I know MY horse won't deal with me pulling his head to his chest.... so I don't think that her horses like it that much.
I know it looks silly- but it's called passage. Look it up.
@JaguarsShadow94 no she doesnt she might do it once for a correction but ..
@AshleighM82 Care to share?
for judging at big competitions because it seems anky wins a lot, period, regardless of what her horses do or don't do. @Reactieschrijfster ya
@FireWhisp i sead i think because it was my opinion
what the hell?! anky does not mistreat her horses... if you see how calm they are in her championships then you will realise that she does not mistreat them... if a horse wasn't calm with their rider then obviously they would do everything to get their rider off their back... see Salinero doing that to Anky?? i think not...
ohh ok

Well, allot xD
