@twistedminds14 From one old mare to another, thank you! LOL Thank you for sharing these beautiful videos with me. I really appreciate it so much. The song in this one is so pretty and the way the two horses of such contrasting colors were alternated looks so lovely. ;) Thanks so much for taking the time to find them for me. ;)
Blue Hors Matinee was nine when she broke down. I pity the athletic, very trainable horses. They are pushed to the breaking point and for what? How sad that there are not more trainers and riders willing to develope these glorious creatures slowly. I am blessed with a 26 1/2 yr old 'school master'...he can piaffe, pirouette and do tempe changes..above all he is my teacher and my friend, honorable beyond belief.
How very sad that the beautiful Blue Horse Matine` is finished as a performer. The most talented and trainable often break down before ever reaching their potential. This lovely mare expresses her tension and unhappiness with the wringing of her tail. I hope her babies, if there are any, will not be quite so eager to please or at least go to people willing to develope them slowly.
@MissSunnyRainy They both use hyperflexion in their training. (if you don't know what hyperflexion/rollkür is then google it) They don't use it on this video because It's against the FEI rules.
its a real shame about the accident, but she will live to see another day, and maybe one day will be bred. although her tail swishing is just one of her characteristic- she does it all the time! Andreas is a wonderful man and uses good training methods (unlike Anky) and the mare loves her work. she was never unhappy!
Okay thanks for the explanation ! ^^ I though you where saying that you are against that lol ! Sadly, there is too many people who think Anky and Andreas = Rollkur.
I was talking bout the hyperflexion. And with hyperflexion you overbend the horses neck, and with that you overstretch the back muscles. So yes, with hyperflexion you train the whole body. But I was talking about hyperflexion, and that's a tad more extreme than deep and low :) I ride my horse deep and low a lot, I hyperflex my horse for 30 seconds only. Just to overbend his body for a while :)
@DannysGirl2 Can you explain what she is doing wrong l see something about the horse his neck, but the other one the white horse is holding his neck the same way as salimero. (anky's horse) or is there any diffrence?
Andreas is better than Anky! I LOVE him! and Matinée is so beautiful, and she really likes doing this work :D Ears to the front, she's totally dancing! 10 STARS ;) xx
I have seen many horses who use their tails expressively (esp. mares), -- check out Olympic medalist Monaco under Dottie Morkis -- and I have owned one horse who loved to toss his tail around when showing off. It may be an indication of stiffness but, just as the poll always being highest, etc., etc., you need to look at the overall picture. Matinee's ears are relaxed and listening to the rider, her quarters are lowered and her movement relaxed and springy. Not tense.
I watched this video except with the music 'Broken - Lifehouse' was playing. I like the rythym to that better. But lovely video. Why do you guys gudge the horses training? None of us know how they were really trained. Honestly, it all about opinion if your not there. So, I don't think it's right for anyone to be getting angry at anyone.
I have a beautiful, talented Hanoverian Mare [B line]. She 'Talks with her tail' but ONLY when upset. When comfortable the tail is 'silent', waving in time with her tempo. Matinee was wringing her tail. Trust me, she was NOT happy Her injury was blamed on an accident during shipping....nonsense!!!! NO 9 yr old should be competing at that level. Just because the 'CAN' doesn't mean they should! I pity the very trainable, talented youngsters who are pushed beyond their mental capability...for??
But l didn´t seen her doing this, what you guys are saying.. actually, top riding isn´t good for any horse, like: Dressage, jumping, cross, all dangerous Cross is the the most dangerous cause there are obstacles who don't fall, beams are okay, they fell. but in cross they don't. more than over 1000 horses die in that sport. l love horse riding, like riding on the beach. like a good friendship you should know what people do to ''win''
ANKY, do you actually spur your horse in addition to bits and hyperflexion that gives your horses severe pain?? Can't you try and change dressage to be less painful for the horse? Mine did fine with a gentle bit and not as severe hyperflexion, that is MORE BEAUTIFUL< IT IS NOT PAINFUL FOR THE HORSE
That is the excuse given by her owner and rider..it may be the truth and I'm open minded enough to accept that. However...every video I have seen of this lovely mare she has been wringing her tail. Happy, comfortable horses don't do that. Some will react in an expremely negative manner, rearing, backing and being absolutely disobedient.....some keep trying to please but do express their discomfort in one way or another. Some actually shut down and refuse any interaction with humans.
I'm not sure...?? I watched this rider at The World Cup in Amsterdam many years ago now, when I worked as a groom to another dresage rider. All I saw was her horse looking terribly tight in the head and neck. His eyes were scruched up, and honoustly..he looked very unhappy and miserable..
Sad that you are unable to disagree with another opinion without being vulgar. If you watch any of the videos of Matinee, yopu will see that she is wringing her tail, horses do not do this if not feeling pressured. I own a sensitive, athletic mare who wrings her tail when upset, never when relaxed and comfortable.. I know what I am talking about...... Now go wash out your mouth with some really nasty soap.
Anky uses rollkur- its disgusting. Andreas doesnt though- he is a very good, sympathetic trainer! my trainer knows them! well, not Anky as such, although she has met her husband. x
I don't like Anky. She isn't a great rider, her horses are just incredible (KELTEC SALINERO!). Pairing her with Andreas is insane and a disgrace, he is probably the best Dressage rider to ever walk this earth and amazing paired with his girl Blue Hors Matine (R.I.P sweetie). And she won! What is with these judges.
i love the moment andreas hugs his horse!!!
horses are really magnificent animals! i love them all!!!
wouw het mooste is nog dat op het laatste hoe blij ze zijn en hun paarden omhelzen!
kei mooi! BEAUTIFULLLL!
really good!
Anky is so good
Salinero his legs are so perfect in the Piaffe
thanks, and yes they are amazing!
They are both amazing riders.
Thank you
Im pretty sure that Anky is my role model for life

love the song
awesome!
Hey, The same here!
The song is Miray Dahab - Beautiful Dream
I can't found it either.
great video! i wish my mare would go like blue horse matiné :-) but i´m working on it.
I wish I could ride like Anky.
singer is Miray dahab ... she is Canadian ... great singer
i dont think this should be an olympic sport, im not sure who trains the horses, but the horse and trainer deserve the medal

First, it's not called hyperflexion but ''deep and low'', second it's for trainning the back and not the neck =)
@bri101297
singer's name is Miray Dahab

Aha l see. But more people do use this, she's not the only one. and l think she's not doing that all the time cuz l've seen in her in real before.
Andreas is better than Anky!
I LOVE him!
and Matinée is so beautiful, and she really likes doing this work :D

10 STARS ;)

RIP MATINE
uhm, andreas helgstrand also uses hyperflexion. Almost every Grand Prix rider. It's a way of training and flexing the neck muscles.
I have seen many horses who use their tails expressively (esp. mares), -- check out Olympic medalist Monaco under Dottie Morkis -- and I have owned one horse who loved to toss his tail around when showing off. The lightness not only designs descent of the hand ... where are the hands down? It should be 15 kilos per reins!
@TheQuak8 How is anky torture her horses? tell me what she is doing wrong?
lf lt's about the horses neck, isn't andreas doing the same?
@LysingurDk matiné break a leg accidently . it was not andreas that kill her.
Anky and andreas are great riders!!!
did anky and andreas work togeather?

I don't speak dutch .. please translate.

@MissSunnyRainy I know. But that doesn't make it okay ;)
schade um blu hors. ich finde es toll wie andreas sich bei 3:45 freut.
hey. was the grey horse lame?
BOOOOH ANKY BOOOOH please someone take these horses away from her...
But, WHERE IS THE LIGTNESS ???
How can you say this and yet comment on "worried eyes" video against hyperflexion?????? Do you not know that one of the riders is Anky.
Hypercrit!
That is the excuse given by her owner and rider..it may be the truth and I'm open minded enough to accept that. However...every video I have seen of this lovely mare she has been wringing her tail. Happy, comfortable horses don't do that.

STOP HYPERFLEXION!
also an akny van grunsven ist ja wohl mal nichts *beatiful* .... die soll erstmal reiten lernen die kanns doch nur mit rollkur.
Ich hasse so eine dressur voll quäöerei

Terrible, just terrible. How can junges think that's good riding??? They first should learn what good riding really is!!!
