😂I go through the same scenario when I shop at Walgreens, some of the cashiers and one of the managers make me feel like I’m the one who gets all wrong !
People give zero shits anymore. I still always greet everyone even tho they just act like me being a customer is a bother
I love story time 🤩 it makes me feel a lot better because I've delt with a cashier at Walgreens like this. I don't know who to call to correct her attitude. I try to avoid her when I go to my fav Walgreens of the two.

I felt like a young women a lower level boss followed me when shopping ,even cried telling my husband I don't want to shop there but I need to go again so they won't think they ran the shoplifter off I realize they deal with that everyday Then months later same young lady came up from behind

I have bad stories I have that ended surprisingly but most was awful including other🎉 customers. Cashiers & even a child with there Mother I had 3 sons & grand children were taught to be respectful but just like me had their days also. But this child even though I understand a child is a child. But usually reflects Parents Not always . The way she said nothing Said everything & I regretted everything I said nice to the child I don't mean I shouldn't have been nice to a child but kept my mouth shut like her a pushed my buggy toward the register & Thank God he wasn't behind me.
Sounds familiar. That happens to me at walgreens all the time.
These minimum wage employees don't like people who buy specials.
Relatable!! Ther3s this man at cvs who just gives me annoyed eyes and just complains about other workers and everything. First time i went to him he looked down on me and i know he doesnt like couponers. It just ruins my cvs trip when I go :( and I'm barely learning.so.i result to using self checkout. We need more kindness I'm this world I'm trying to save money for me and my family
I try to fund something I have in common with a person like that. It's not always easy. When I was new to couponing a Walgreens cashier would get mad at me. I just kept going and was polite and got better at the deals. She asked me to do customer service surveys for her as we became better acquainted and I did naming her specifically. Now she's a manager and very good at her job. I appreciate her so much and the other ones that have put up with some of my bad deals.
I shop at 3 local Walgreens and 1 of the locations have the worst & rude customer service, I try avoiding that location as much as possible but sometimes it’s the only one that has my items (I’ve even been ask what I do with the things I purchase)

Yes, COVID-19 affected employees where I shop. I’ve seen men and women scream at employees at fast food places during rush hour ( but that’s New York). Also customers walk in and stealing blatantly. Puts pressure on them. But if you listen to the workers, they all HATE their jobs. I try to praise younger people and ask if it’s their first job. Encourage them it will get better for them. We all have had bad work experiences.

No way! I would've asked to speak to a manager!! I live in Florida, so I don't have those stores here, but the other day, Publix had Angel Soft buy one get one. They had a digital coupon on their app $10 off $40 purchase, so you could get 10 4 packs for like $13. As soon as people started buying that much, they had Georgia Pacific change the coupon to exlude the 4 packs of Angel Soft. I was so pissed because I drove there specifically for that. I was going to throw a fit and ask for the manager, but it's a manufacturer coupon. Publix is good like that, though. I will say they have impeccable customer service. The Walmart and Walgreens that are by me are pretty decent as well. I don't think you should have to go without it because someone can't do their job! Sorry that happened to you
I stopped shopping at Meijers a few years ago. Their customer service changed after covid. When I asked for a raincheck I was told while supplies last, so they might only have 2 on the shelf, and that's it, no rainchecks. For me it's's not worth shopping there anymore. I'll go to Walmart or Kroger.
I do a Google review when I can’t get a hold of someone competent.
There was one Walgreens cashier that did not like me , so she made me feel uncomfortable because she would walk out when it was my turn to pay and asked another cashier to ring me up , “ can you ring her up ? She has all the coupons “, like really ? I’m here and I got upset so I told the manager that I was no longer couponing at her store unless I went when that cashier was not working and after that conversation, the mean cashier was fake nice to me , but I will take it .
Oh my, it's every where. I worked as a customer rep. For 32 ysr for phone co (if you was observed or reported by customer you would get writtten up, suspend or terminated and wrkd 15 years off and on part time jobs. It's surprising how some companies say in buy. But I do not walk away, I report them, ask for manager (now), call corporate and complete all surveys I get from said companies. Please don't let them get away with it, report them and let them know you are by getting their name.

I feel ya' with that, there was a you kid at C.V . ., and my cell had no signal, so I get all my stuff on the counter, he gets frustrated and says " either you know how to coupon or you don't, I'm not making multiple transactions, "yes, yes you will". How nasty, will never go back.
Yes I agree I went to Meijer and asked about 2 behind service desk. Told they were for a customer and directed to area where they were. Of course none. So went back to desk only 1 left. Ask for manager and then she wanted to help me. She made like she called back stock and all of a sudden I was able to take the one at desk because 1 is magically left in back. Assuming the 2 were employees the way she handled it
It’s clear that’s the culture of the company.
I have been knthe other side of the counter some customers are Rude degrading etc but normal people cant take it outon the next just respectfully shopping customer.
Stores can only issue rain checks if the vendor (brand) allows it. It is not up to the individual retailer to make that decision.

That was wrong. I worked at Kroger. She should have called her manager if she was unable to,or didn’t want to help you. That was unprofessional and just rude. I’m sorry you had to endure that treatment.

I have a love/hate relationship with 1 of my cvs stores. The older gentleman either hates me or hates ringing up customers. They have self checkout that I refuse to use. I always end up having to call someone over to help me, and not all my coupons come off using it. He tells me it is easier for us to use self checkout vs the register for them. I explained that I always have to call one of them up there, and that's why I don't use it. He was irritated by my response and said it was still easier for them to come assist the self checkout. We'll, maybe for him but not for me. Ugh, it's their job. I don't get it. I'm not asking anything out of the ordinary. I always feel embarrassed or that I'm in the wrong.

I looked at the Meijer’s ad. Some products you can get rain check on and some products you can’t. The corporation picks what can get rain check & what can’t.

She should have told you straight up what the deal was instead of wasting your time. She gets paid to be there, you don't. I managed a shoe store but it's still customer service.

You need a Kroger. Meijer is overpriced and their deals are over complicated. Their digital coupons are not as good.

Sorry you had to experience that I had a problem and had to remind the cashier of her position that she was not the owner because I didn’t see her name up on the sign next to the Walgreens sign. Was she angry yes she was because the truth hurts. All they have to do is ask how we coupons do it and we would teach them.

I have run into that sort of situation and I always ask for the store manager. He has some skin in the game not the woman who you called--I worked in a grocery store for 25 years so I know how to get around those sour employees.

Great video, RK! Here is what I have done in recent years. I make friends with the store "director" or store manager. Then, when there is an unfortunate experience with a disgruntled employee, I just speak to the "boss" and usually the problem is resolved quickly and in a professional mannner.
