I'd rather spend my efforts on researching niches and book cover design, running ads, etc. I am working with $100 a month ad budget. It's kind of fun to try and work the ads and track the results, test the books. It's like a video game it in that way. A contest to see if I can make a profit for the month. So far this month, my royalties are $20 behind my ad expense.

Another great video and I really like the format of this one Chris. Interesting to hear about educated advertising spend. I think that's a good way of thinking of it and adopting a more hybrid approach rather than a one-size-fits-all.

I"m seeing sales on 9 books out of a total of 36 books published, though only two books are selling well above the rest. I just started in March, so I've been at it for only 6 months. My covers and research and marketing will continue to get better. My main frustration is going a day or two without any sales at all. Sales trickle in at a slow drip. Patience and perseverance are necessary. It ain't easy.

As a beginner I had question with regards to when you publish a book n if you have taken into consideration used correct keywords n description, without ads where does a book feature once published is it in the first few pages or its random ? I.e can be anywhere? The number of books is within 1000 in that niche . Hope hear from you.
No. Some people are wildly successful with social media, most aren't and it's nowhere near as easy as it's made out to be. Still plenty of organic traffic from Amazon

More books is the only way in my opinion. I have some low budget strategies in the membership. But you could focus on making more books and placing them into a 'lottery' campaign
@@ChrisRaydog I run lottery campaigns, in short bursts. They are fun to do, to track the books and see if anything hits. However, they can be expensive if you run a lot of books in a campaign. If you run 20 books in a campaign, you might get 50 clicks spread out over the list which really doesn't tell you much. The average on Amazon (I've been told by TH-camr's, don't know if it's true) is one sale out of ten clicks. You won't know if a book is a dud until you get at least 10 clicks on it. Running a lottery campaign with more than a hand full of books can get costly, to acquire ten clicks on any one book. I try to keep my lottery campaigns down to four books or so, and they all have something in common, a similar niche.

I truly agree with you, crazy the amount of content of saying you can make a million dollars just for clicks is very misleading.

How do you advertise a swear words coloring book? Last time I tried something like this they told me it's not allowed.
No swear words in title/subtitle and front cover and probably need to make sure the images are appropriate too
