The new 2014 will be released end of the year but with no changes. Here in the U.S the top model is the Ex-L with navigation. Yes it has Heated leather seats but no remote start from the factory. Thank you so much for the feedback and the support :-) Jason
Yes after I re-watched this video again, I agree. I'm currently working on a 2013 Civic Sedan Tips and Tricks. I promise it will be filled with Tips and Tricks. Thank you for watching and for your feedback Jason
Thank You for your feedback. I research each and every show I do. My shows are based off of Honda's info and some of my own opinion. In this case Honda calls them "Chrome trim and Accents" Thank You again HondaPro Jason.
Great question and the only thing that makes sense is that they cut costs by ordering all the same screens. In Europe you can change the screen from red to blue like the Accord. I hope that there is a software update that can change that in the future.
I understand your opinion. Please remember that this car was refreshed after some people disliked the new 2012. I think Honda did a great job listening to its buyers and made many upgrades in styling and in ride quality without changing the price. I know the 'chrome' isn't for everyone but I think adds just a bit to dress up the car. The tail lights can look like many different cars, I like that they put real lights in the trunk and not just reflective glass. Thank you for your feedback, Jason
Yes the Civic Si will be my next test drive. I have done test drives on the LX and EX but to be honest they were kinda boring on video. So I never posted them. Thank you for your feedback and support HPJ
Thanks for your question and YES it is. I had no issues with the 2012 drive. After driving the 2013 you can tell the car is smoother and much quieter at highway speed. I wouldn't say it is a sportier drive but I'll let you know after I drive the 2013 SI :-O HPJ
Yes after re watching the video I realized this is more of a review than a tips and tricks. I'm currently researching and writing a tips and Tricks Part 2. I promise it will be filled with plenty of Tips and Tricks for you. Thank You for your feedback HPJ
They might send out an update for a few software changes to the Imid. The Camera is Hardware and I'm sure you could make it work, Honda doesn't have anything out on how to do it.
Raul Thank you for watching and for your questions 1) Yes you can replace the factory radio BUT you will will loose most of the features the IMid gives you. So I do not recommend doing this, instead if you added a small amp and upgraded the speakers you should be very happy. 2) Yes you will loose MPG but not by that much just make sure to size them correctly so your speedo and odometer stay correct :-) 3) Most dealers will tell you MSRP because they still have 2012's left that they want to sell
You are correct. The Civic is not a entery level car we now have the Honda Fit. People are looking for a good looking roomy car with all the tech features. I think Honda nailed it. Last year the Civic broke all its old records and was top seller in its class. I think this year will even be better. Thanks for your feedback, Jason
No worries and thank you for leaving another comment :-) I hope you get the Civic and if I can answer any questions for you guys or help please let me know Jason
Congrats!! Its a great car. Did you see the new 2013 Civic video I just did on the IMID screen and the Bluetooth? The wheel covers are not bad looking and you can always get a nice set of rims for the summer and keep the covers for the winter :-) Good choice on the 5 speed!! Thanks for all your support, HondaPro Jason
Hi and the color is called Urban Titanium. If you like it check out Kona Coffee is just a shade darker but comes with a black interior. It looks great!! HPJ
I agree with some of what you said. If you look at the armrest, sunvisors, and dashboard. You can see the use of nicer materials. Yes they did make some things a bit less plush from past years. I think the tech features just make this car a huge winner for me. Congrats on your purchase. You got a really good deal on the price also. HPJ
WOW all great questions. The CRV will get the Earth Dreams powertrain prob next gen so 2017ish. Your Grandmothers Civic, the only reason to get the 2013 for her is the back-up camera. You can get a great deal a 2012 and get super finanacing on it. There were not any inprovements safty wise so I think the 2012 is the better value for her. Thanks for the questions and the support. Jason
vmv890 I have talk to Honda many times on this same issue. Funny because the pictures in there brochures are mostly in motion. The pictures of accessory's are not on the cars. Its hard for dealers to order rims and tires and guess what color car someone wants them on. Also we then have a extra set of rims and tires. Most dealers dont want the trouble so they just wait for a customer to order them. Ill try to get my dealer to install a set on a SI. I will take a ton of pics if I get it!!
There are quite a few changes outside and the 'feel' of everything inside is very different. Its tough to see all the changes on a video, so I suggest that you visit your local Honda Dealer and check one out. I would love your feedback after. HPJ
oNuKuBo, In Thailand you get the Honda Brio Amaze that car is close in size to the Honda Civic. Thailand also has many hybrids, Honda City, Honda Jazz and Brio. Thank You for the question, HondaPro Jason
Yes you are right and we have 84 2012's left!! Honda will help us with some money (Dealer cash) so we can discount them and the 2013s will be selling for sticker price for a while.
soloflight1975 The 2013 Civic is just a refreshed civic. The 2012 is a very good car and best in its class. We as salespeople didn't know about the new car until just a few months back and still that was just rumors. Honda makes one of the best cars in the world. I hope you change your mind after owning it for a while. Jason
The Kia Soul offers 4X4 and some cool lights inside. I have driven both and the Civic is way more comfortable for longer drives and it handles better on the road. I would strongly consider if you decide on the Kia, buying used and saving a lot of money Jason
1) its Urban Titanium 2) That is a good price, you can always get better but buy from the dealer you get the best service from. 3) no the Imid is set up for the Honda radio only. So an aftermarket radio would have its own screen and you cant 'push or mirror' it to the imid
I think after the 2014 Civic type R is released in Europe will might see a bump in the SI or maybe a 'performance model' Its time for the Civic type R for the US!!!!! Thanks for watching and your support :-)
I've owned civics for the last decade and also the 2013 model this time. The answer is yes they do struggle with rough roads but do give it some time for the tires and suspension to break in. Also check your seating make sure you're in an engaging position so that you can fight off the instability and break in the suspension components properly and safely.
I agree and disagree considering that they refreshed the car after 1 year. That is unheard of in the market. They also added a ton of features standard and didn't really adjust the price. That makes this car NOT a fail. The Civic SI well yes they could and should make it a monster like a typeR and I would love to see that. For some reason the 'Honda Gods' think that the U.S.doesn't want or cant handle a 300hp turbo civic. I say BRING IT!!!! Let us decide Thanks for your feedback and your opinion
any problems with it so far? Im looking at getting one and does it have a USB port in it? nvm at 3:35 he says it has it, hell yeah im looking forward for getting this
HondaPro: I love the dual dash. And I love the new look. A few folks have demanded that the dual dash be dropped!!! Please never ever do that. That is one of the USPs of the Civic. I am going to buy this one!
If you drive both cars the Civic is just a bit less peppy then the Focus but I think the features and quality of the Civic makes up for that. I have included a link above where you can see the accessory wheels and colors :-) I will do a Part 2 Tips and Tricks it will include the opening of the trunk :-)) Thanks for your feedback HPJ
I just traded in my 2010 Accord for a 2013 Civic. I have had trouble working with the steering. After one month I had an incident where a wheel censor had to be replaced. When driving on the interstate I feel like I have to struggle with the steering to keep it in line. My husband said the same thing. Is this normal with the civic?
Hi Finn, We do not have that model here so I don't have any Tips and Tricks. Soon I hope to visit Other countries and look for Tips and Tricks on their Hondas.
I just re-watched this video and your right! I don't have and tricks in it:-/ I'm currently writing a part 2 and I promise to have it loaded with cool tips and tricks :-) Jason
I traded in my 2012 Honda Civic EX 4DR Sedan on 12/26/2013 for a new 2013 Honda Civic EX 4DR Sedan, I love the new styling material and the car really is awesome compared to the 2012. The 2012 Civic looked boring and cheap looking, and almost looked stripped naked from the interior out. With the 2013 Honda Civic EX I wanted it in silver alabaster color, but they did not have one available in silver, they offered me the black one for sale and a lower lease payment. Great deal, love the car, love the new sexy style. Only thing with black is that swirls and minor scratches are more visible than lighter colors. But that wont be a big deal, and I can polish and wax the car about twice a year. After my lease is over in 3 years God willing, I will purchase my car for sure this time. Fun to drive, more quieter, love the rear view camera, nice quality interior upgrades, beautiful beautiful car, sexy looking, yea go Honda!
Jason, great video. Do you know definitively on the Earthdreams for the CR-V? I too am a Honda Pro and have gotten the impression it may come sooner (2014 or 2015 model). Please correct me if I am wrong.
I thought about that, but push to start means also key-less unlock. That's too expensive for the Civic right now. Insider tip Canada is getting a 'touring model Civic' (a few more luxury options) So maybe a push button start Civic will be here in the future.
They did a great job on the update, I may just add a 13 Civic Si back on my list when it comes time to replace my Fit in March. I just wish they updated the powertrains, it really could have used more power, especially on the Si model.
Honda got a LOT really right with the redesigned 2013 Civic! One of the most noticeable things for me that really stood out was Honda got the details down. This was lost on the 2012 Civic and is now back for MY2013. Honda has always been about getting all the small stuff, the details if you will, right. Hi Jason..great update...I saw the new models at the auto-show yesterday...You won't have any problems selling 2013's!..Have you driven one yet? R they quieter? Do they handle better?..PS I got my sticker...Thanks ..talk to you soon

That is a long argued question :-/ It has to do with a few thinks, slow sales here in the U.S. of hatchbacks and the hatchbacks that are made for Europe wont pass our regulations here in the U.S. So the car would have to be re-engineered or at least modified for us and the expense would be to high. Jason
Hey Jason ... I'm not sure if this is on ALL models but it is on the 2013 Civic Si ... you can move in and out the steering wheel as well as lower and raise it ... just incase no one knew about it and since it wasn't in the video ...
Makeup- if I can add my 2 cts- I have owned 2 Civics, and they are a great car, period. First, second or third car. I gave my 91 Civic to my niece since she had just gotten her license, and it served her well as a "first car".
Yo HondaPro Great Video. i was wondering if you had any Insight on way Honda for years now refuses to raise the HP on the SI?? Its annoying cause its Beautiful and it def need more power. GTI/MPS/Veloster are all going Turbo. do you have any connects that know whats going on??
I must of missed the tip and tricks part.
This is not a "tips and tricks" video.....
I have this car for 4 years now, and I love it. Reliable, fuel economy, comfortable.
Do u still have yours
The new 2014 will be released end of the year but with no changes. Here in the U.S the top model is the Ex-L with navigation. Yes it has Heated leather seats but no remote start from the factory.
Thank you so much for the feedback and the support :-)
Jason
No prob I'm glad you enjoyed it. We should get our first Si Dec 20-14th I will be doing a test drive/Tips and Tricks video as soon as we get it.
HPJ
Yes I'm getting a new camera this week. I think it will really improve the shows. Thank you for your feedback.
Thank you for the support
I have heard a few people complaint of this. I hope next year a adjustable lumbar will be available
I agree 100% WE ARE COMING BACK STRONG!!!
Yes after I re-watched this video again, I agree. I'm currently working on a 2013 Civic Sedan Tips and Tricks. I promise it will be filled with Tips and Tricks.
Thank you for watching and for your feedback
Jason
Thank You for your feedback. I research each and every show I do. My shows are based off of Honda's info and some of my own opinion. In this case Honda calls them "Chrome trim and Accents"
Thank You again
HondaPro Jason.
Yes normally you do get to choose the color. It does depend on what the dealer has in stock.
Smart choice and Honda has never disappointed me either. Thanks for the feedback.
Have a great and Happy Holidays
Jason

I agree with you 100% and the 2 tier dash is here to stay.
Thank you for your feedback
HPJ
Yes the Civic Si will be my next test drive. I have done test drives on the LX and EX but to be honest they were kinda boring on video. So I never posted them.

Thank you!!! This one needs a part 2 ;-) I like to keep my videos short but I found some really cool tricks when driving the 2013 around
Thank you so much for the feedback and Happy Holidays to you also
friendlyfitters,
yes I like the chrome that Honda is putting on their new vehicles but I do show many tips and tricks also.
Yes after re watching the video I realized this is more of a review than a tips and tricks. I'm currently researching and writing a tips and Tricks Part 2. I promise it will be filled with plenty of Tips and Tricks for you.
Thank You for your feedback

Too bad this video never happened.
Just bought a 13 civic ex-L! I love it! you should get commission from all the viewers watching and purchasing.. pay the man honda!
How many miles are on the car? make sure your tires are inflated to the proper PSI also make sure the econ button is on.
It's Urban Titanium.
Thanks for watching

Yes you are 100% right Honda's MoJo is back!!!
I think it is due to the safety ratings and all the standard equipment.
No worries and thank you for leaving another comment :-) I hope you get the Civic and if I can answer any questions for you guys or help please let me know
Jason
Due to the great success of this video I will be doing a follow up Civic Tips and Tricks Part 2
Thank you Sir and thanks for all the support ;-)
That's good, I'm assuming its in the customize screen. I'll check tomorrow. THANK YOU for the tip.
HPJ
Congrats!! Its a great car. Did you see the new 2013 Civic video I just did on the IMID screen and the Bluetooth? The wheel covers are not bad looking and you can always get a nice set of rims for the summer and keep the covers for the winter :-) Good choice on the 5 speed!!

Yes it was that way, but now its the Fit that takes that role.
Thanks for watching

oNuKuBo, In Thailand you get the Honda Brio Amaze that car is close in size to the Honda Civic. Thailand also has many hybrids, Honda City, Honda Jazz and Brio.

Yes you can. just put 3-4 jpeg photos on a usb drive and just the menu-settings-customize screen to upload wallpaper.
only with the navi but you can 'stream' any radio or music app thru Bluetooth ;-)
Check out the new Civic. It feels much roomier than the older models.

Ray for Australia......

Very cool I found all 4 colors you can change (thank you again for the tip)
I think after the 2014 Civic type R is released in Europe will might see a bump in the SI or maybe a 'performance model' Its time for the Civic type R for the US!!!!!
Thanks for watching and your support :-)
We should get our 1st 2013 Civic Si Dec 20-24th I will do a test drive with a Tips and Tricks.
Good job buddy keep It up Honda fan for life!!!

We had a set that we painted blue. Its on my FB I'm interested in your opinion.
Jason
I just got a really clean certified preowned LX from Honda yesterday, I love the car.
any problems with it so far? Im looking at getting one and does it have a USB port in it? nvm at 3:35 he says it has it, hell yeah im looking forward for getting this
just bought a 2012 1,8 sport , hardly used looks and feels like it came right from the factory , i like the car and i know it not going to fail me
Yes that is correct if you use the ECO mode that is the best.
beautiful and stunning civic
Christoper, I'm currently checking with one of my factory Honda connections to find out 100% for us. :-) Thanks for the question
HPJ
HondaPro: I love the dual dash. And I love the new look. A few folks have demanded that the dual dash be dropped!!! Please never ever do that. That is one of the USPs of the Civic. I am going to buy this one!

ATTN! A full review on the 2013 Civic and Si coming as soon as the weather breaks in Chicago :-D

That color is gorgeous.
no changes to the engine or transmission. They did 'tweak' the suspension. You can feel it rides more solid now.
HPJ
Thank you, fellow Jason! I
Hi can you do a demo on automatic climate control. How it works.? Can it be used manual as well.
Thanks
Jason, great video. Do you know definitively on the Earthdreams for the CR-V? I too am a Honda Pro and have gotten the impression it may come sooner (2014 or 2015 model). Please correct me if I am wrong.
I'm in Tampa, we don't have winter. I will definitely be looking for rims, though.
As always great tips and tricks. Keep up the good work
The Civic is much easier to enter and get out of compared to the Honda Insight. It sits a bit higher off the ground.
I believe that you can go back to 8th Gen Honda Civic rims. becauset before that they were 4 lug.
The all new 2012 CR-V, the all new 2013 Accord, and now the redesigned 2013 Civic are HUGE home runs for Honda. Honda has gotten its mojo back!
nice, how is its interior space compare to the corolla? Cuz I sat in a Civic sedan 2007 model I think and I feel cramp and tight somehow. Just wonder.
Yes I am with a drive, and can't wait until we get our 1st one :-)
HPJ
Hi Jason..great update...I saw the new models at the auto-show yesterday...You won't have any problems selling 2013's!..Have you driven one yet? R they quieter? Do they handle better?..PS I got my sticker...Thanks ..talk to you soon
when is the 2014 preview ?
Have you heard of any changes that would be made on the 2014?
i really want the 2013 but Im afraid the 2014 is going to be better.
Which one is the more upgraded civic that includes everything?
Does it have heated seats or a control that starts your car and pops the hood.
lol maybe im asking for to much out of the civic.
...by the way thanks for the great videos
Thanks for the reply. So this model won't be sold in Thailand, right ? However, thanks for the review.
That is a long argued question :-/ It has to do with a few thinks, slow sales here in the U.S. of hatchbacks and the hatchbacks that are made for Europe wont pass our regulations here in the U.S. So the car would have to be re-engineered or at least modified for us and the expense would be to high.
Jason
Very cool you will LOVE It!!
I didn’t know about the arm rest thing. Thanks!
Hey Jason ... I'm not sure if this is on ALL models but it is on the 2013 Civic Si ... you can move in and out the steering wheel as well as lower and raise it ... just incase no one knew about it and since it wasn't in the video ...
thank you
Yes it can and I can do a short video on that ;-)
Makeup- if I can add my 2 cts- I have owned 2 Civics, and they are a great car, period.
Why is the i-MID screen red like an Si? It looks odd because it doesn't match the blue for the rest of the lights
