I remember going to the Summit in Houston ,with Tom my best friend(r.i.p), during their Deguello tour . I grew up listening to The little ol band from Texas..They are great now,as then. Dusty Hill really held the groove, while Billy did his magic, all the while Frank keeping time..Under estimated in my opinion ,is that rythm duo.... There Will Never Be Another trio like these guys. R.I.P. Dusty, maybe Tom and you are chewing the fat
Nobody can replace Dusty, but the band must go on, I will never forget seeing them for the first late 80's these 3 guys come out in their Sparkling Cowboy outfits and just Rocked the place 😎💯
The drummer did rehab. Dusty got just a regular job loading freight, nobody knew. For months. Dusty didn't tell them, they didn't have to know. You gotta admire that. Best wishes. About his demise, Rusty's woman said, " one second he was here, the next he wasn't." That's a good exit, no sniveling.
I saw them at the Ector County Collesum in Odessa Texas in 1984, and for a little Ole band from Texas, they blew t8he roof off the place! The best show I ever saw!!❤
ZZ-🔝 1973 Album, Tres-Hombres: Two tracks, that should always be played together! Entire album is a "Masterpiece"🔵's inspired-🪨..🎼..🎸..💫.. great post..🎶..
So did The Beatles, The Stones, Zep, who didn't? (Speaking of which The Who did have some non-blues-based origins but look up who wrote "Young Man Blues" they use to lead off Live at Leeds). Then there is "Rockabilly" which mates the country twang with the bluesy chords. But credit Billy where he deserves it, songs like "Sure Got Cold After the Rain Fell" are original creations all his own, meanwhle Zep had stone cold thefts on Zep 2 like "The Lemon Song" which is "Killing Floor' uncredited.
If you didn't see them in the70 s. You miss it they were on fire they opened for the stones and they ruined the stones I didn't even care about the stones after that
I've seen ZZ Top many times and we're always awesome except at the Michigan State fairgrounds one time because who ever was running sound didn't know what they were doing they made them sound awful not the bands fault.

Rumor has it, Dusty, picked his own replacement. Now, that's a close knit group.

. Your a renaissance genius.
@walterspaceman5592 If ya gotta go that's the best way 😐

Goosebumps 😇🎼🎤🎸🥁
I’m a ZZ Top fan, but I think they imitated the blues music of Black folks. Elmore James. Buddy Guy.
