I was stopped doing 77 mph in a 55 mph zone while listening to this song. The officer was about my age, and when I explained, he wrote the ticket for 5 mph over the limit.🚨👍😊

I’m always working on Billy’s guitar stuff, but thinking I’m missing some fun stuff back on the kit, and frank is one of the original pocket drummers! Along with Rush, Nirvana, and the Police to name a few. Those days were big for power trios. They kicked ass. There isn't anything like it today. They can never pull it off in a live setting, not like those guys.

It is always a pleasure to listen to these three guys! They are really awesome; want to be in Texas! They are realley national heros, bringing the best blues- and rock-traditions in the most compact way. Who can escape these sounds! I am helpless!

About 5 years ago I went with a coworker to Carb Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and ZZ Top was the featured band. It was out on a grass lawn in the warm sunshine and we had a blast! I was supposed to see them years before in Minneapolis but got deployed out of country when I was in the military. So I finally got to see them and wow, those guys are over 60 and sounding awesome! My friend and I were blown away and it was a lot of fun. Got to meet some long time fans like ourselves, share some beers and enjoy this great band!
I am 76 years old and when I was in College in 1973 we had a Super Saturday and ZZ Top was the headliner with English guitarist Roy Gallagher as the opening act. These guys just get better with like whiskey and cigars!!!!
I've seen ZZ Top twice and I've been working and playing Drums and Guitar for a few decades and that is the thing about ZZ. They, for a Three Musician Band have attained from the start an incredible high intensity Shuffle-Slide with a killer Bassist that is, to me, a one of a kind Sound and Tone that is easy to listen to... for many decades now. Especially when I caught them Live. In Vancouver I saw ZZ live on the "Afterburner" tour. My ears rang for a couple of days.
Not only does Frank Beard have stamina beyond any mere mortal to keep that left hand shuffle going with completely perfect feel, but he's literally doing it with his eyes closed
After years being behind the drums, closing your eyes isn't all that hard to do. You know where everything is, in front of you. And you play the songs as you have for years. Even so, the mark of a pro, is to hide a mistake and keep going without anyone else knowing it happened! Closing your eyes isn't so hard... How about a blind drummer!?

Mr Beard holding all together like a metronome, deserves more recognition
Totally agree, him and Charlie Watts , hold it tight so the rest can go where they want . Frank Beard is right up there for holding a groove
The drummer played this song so many times, he now does it in his sleep.
Blues drumming isn't rocket science...
He was so much better... So sad..
No groove...
... and he would do the same thing on a small drumkit ...,for sure ...
Drummer is heart of band. Viva ZZ Top!
They will never be a 3 man as great as ZZ top!
Rock in Peace Dusty and thanks for all the great music it will never be forgotten.
I'm not even a blues guy, I could watch these guys ALL DAY.
