I was literally thinking about this today. The hard truth is there will be many people that can create amazing images, but will have nothing to say because they haven't lived a lot of life yet. Being an artist is showing people how you view the world. You know when you see a piece that came from someone's soul, rather than the same travel video that says "just go" or the "just live life" inspirational film. Not everyone has the creative vision. And no one wants to say that out loud cause it's discouraging and negative. We can buy gear and copy each other, but at a certain point, you will discover who you really are as an artist, or you won't. Thanks for reading
Matt, I just want to let you recognize how much you're doing for people who are just starting out (like me), I appreciate your guidance from these youtube videos it would be really amazing to have a conversation with you sometime
Rare to just have a guy talking to me in front of a camera and every word feels like it hits somewhere or rings a bell and I think you really got the words to describe what really goes on the last couple of months or even year in the cinematic TH-cam bubble. Thank you for your words, definitely gonna check out more of you!
100%. It’s all about creating beautiful things that help others live better lives. Not the corporate gig that pays more. At the end of the day what makes us feel better is knowing that we are making a difference in the world. 🤘🏽
You've got a new subscriber! I checked your website and saw that you directed/dp depop project. I remember I used that as one of my pegs/part of my animatics treatment in my previous project. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
my goal lately has to make my images not be the typical cinematic that has flooded youtube but actually make someone say " your stuff looks like a movie " . hope im making sense
My cinematography skills aren't the best. but instead of letting that be a problem, I am focusing on story. Even there, there is so much to learn. Depth. Originality, Heart. that is what I care about.
Our first approach is to edit our cinematic travel videos with great visuals. But more and more we are creating stories. But it's way more difficult 😮 good video
'Everyone is a cinematographer nowadays''. Lmao so true. Everyone who sets up a key light thinks they're a cinematographer right away because they are ''creating' the image and dehancer makes everything look cinematic
@@Aviciiz yeah I think once everyone learned how to light, everything started to look good of course. Now I just wanna see more things made with meaning

“Cinematic” is the new “ contemporary” 🤢🤮 hate that word now.
