Didn't know about the breach being able to do solid shot. So that was a cool bit of info. I'd rate it number two myself vs 3 because losing stealth really limits sniper builds.
Tip: Used the Void Form Power and you'll have better chance getting sneak multiplier as you'll be invisible and can move around without showing yourself. The NPC will still shoot the area you shot from so be warned. Though it's mostly them blind firing.
Level 72 stealth sniper. I have found 2 hard targets. One around level 30 and another somewhere in the lat 40s (advanced). I'm up to my eyeballs in legendary godrolls of nearly every other weapon, but my HT is just normal. Haven't done the weapon chest exploit, good to know it wouldn't help.
The breach is awesome, it's my favortie sniper. It'll one shot most human enemies and only takes about 4-5 shots on a terramorph. It's great with the slug shot, but it's also good with flechette rounds.

A hard target can easily do over 10k dmg if its instigating( and superior, i know it will still show up as advanced but it will have higher stats, maybe advanced too, idk) without even having all the buffs you could have.
I like the Hard Target, but you need to put a caveat on this... picking one up at lvl 25 is only going to hit for ~200 damage. There's lots of points and weapon mods that need to happen to get it up to that 8k range.
HT is #1 but only 5 shots. Mag sniper is rubbish - maxed a conventional one out and it is beneath the Beowulf. Beowulf advanced maxed can generally take out in stealth in one headshot or usually 2, 30 clip is great. Slug shot sounds interesting, must try that one.
only the planet/zone needs to be v hard as soon as it has loaded you can change it to v easy and the loot pool will remain v hard. i tend to find the beowulf and the va-run's better rifles the beowulf has a much larger mag and can lay down multiple sneak attacks in te time the hard target does one and he va-run's properly modded beats the magsniper for raw damage and still has a decent rof (and toxic rounds)
A silenced Legendary Advanced Hard Target with Instigating, Hitman, and Shattering along with the Sense Star Stuff power and Chameleon maxed out will pretty much make you a horror movie villain. LOL.
There is one detail with your farming method that is wrong. You do want to be on very hard when you are landing your ship before you get out of your ship., But then you can change it back to very easy until you find legendary enemies. Then you can work them all the way down to almost nothing but you have to switch back to very hard before you kill them otherwise your drops won't be as good
Switching to very hard b4 you kill the boss enemy doesn't change the drop rate for better weapons. I've tested this so much, and it's just not the case. Anybody who says otherwise is just not being truthful with themselves.
the only reason id say its odd to put a shotgun on the list is that event though it may act like one it doesnt benefit from the sniper perks , still cool it can shoot so far
except it does benefit from the sniper perks. all the sniper perk is is a damage bonus to scope weapons with the final tier being 50% increased to scope weapon damage while ADSing
I've found that the Orion does amazingly well, too. It may just lack the insane range, though. But with a long range scope and mods to increase accuracy it can do very, very well.
While the Hard Target at No1 is agreeable, the Beowulf is head and shoulders above your No2 and No3 picks, silencer to maintain stealth, accurate, very common ammo, and if you have an advanced instigating one, you have a gun that will hit like a train, I have an instigating hard target, I hardly use it as the instigating Beowulf kills almost everything, and even things it wont kill first shot, it is still versatile enough with its mag capacity and semi-auto to kill everything.
Ng+10 or higher. Im on ng+4 and highest damage gun i see is an inflictor for 880. Magsniper is only at 600 some for me. But all this shit will scale up. If just on first play through your numbers are more than fine
Checked the shop in cydonia and found no advanced weapons, how did you get them to spawn? Im level 40, so if you are correct they should spawn in shop inventory, yet they are not there.
Hitman instigating and Shattering as your mods on the first weapon!!!! I've not used any glitches or farming save and reload methods so i don't get anything like this type of weapon, no way they are from natural drops. I have also never switched difficulty i soon put it to very hard and kept it there, i dont think the game is challenging enough.
I suspect something changed with the latest patch but the Breach is truly hitscan. The Hard Target has a time to target at extreme range. If you do not have weapon perks/don't have many, the Breach is still pretty great.
U use it wrong though, that ehy mag sniper damage not so great. U need to charge the fire by holding fire button 1st. That way mag sniper will one shot any enemies
Also, when you hit these facilities where these bosses are, make sure you grab the weapons from crates and weapon racks. I have about 30 Legendary weapons, most come from the crates and racks not bosses. Some you will need master/expert lockpicking skills.

My workshop mods are Long Barrel, Recon Laser Sight, Long Scope, Suppressor, Tactical Grip, Penetrator rounds, High Powered. 631 phys damage with 136 range. When stealthy it hits 2.5x that. With one of those mods you dont have to hold breath because its so stable. One shots all humans with a headshot on very hard lvl 75 planets when stealthy apart from bosses. I have Ballistics, Stealth and Rifle at lvl 4 but no sniper skills.
everyone keeps raving about the Hard Target, i just don't get it. i have never, NEVER, one shotted anyone with a Hard Target. Magsniper does it consistently. maybe Hard Target becomes great at super ultra mega high levels? you clearly are very high level in this video.
that doesn't explain these videos of people pumping many shots into a target and them not dropping. if in fact the charge up is being used, the only explanation i can think of is that y'all are super high level and the npc's have out leveled the Magsniper. I'm lvl 68 and the vast majority of targets i still one shot. and the damage ratings everyone shows for weapons on youtube are many times higher than what i see in the game. another thing leading me to the conclusion people are ultra high level. @@iseraph
I use both Advanced snipers to farm levels so I don’t use all the same ammo and the Hard Target just does way more damage, especially with a roll that has double damage on enemies with full health. It one shots anything, even Terrormorphs. The Magsniper’s shaky charged shot at very long range is just inaccurate on console. It’s also too slow. It looks amazing though. I’m on NG+12 and I’ve tried to farm legendaries for both but never seen any. I’m only using a blue Hard Target with the double damage perk and on Very Hard it one shots any legendary enemy with full shields while concealed. It just feels better.
I got an advanced hard target at around level 30. It’s blue with the instigator perk which doubles damage on full health targets and also has a 2x sneak damage. It is nasty. One hits head shots up to really high level enemies. Also semi auto so cleanup is fun when you get the elites that take a bit more shots

on new game plus 3 and my breach is like 550 ish and its nasty with the slugs and high power

I always use my Assassins Advanced Breach, it gives me the most "one shot one kill".
People just didn’t / don’t realize the scale of this game , the more you progress the better the weapons get, the magsniper is a monster

Try refreshing the shop or going to the one in new Atlantis. I’m not sure what level they start selling the advanced version

Beowulf is better. Little to no recoil, and uses 7.77 instead of the rare .50 for bullets.

You need the stealth and concealment perk for the hard target then it hits for 2x the amount of the mag sniper
