Would I be right in saying that if you managed to get in there before the additive runs out, refill it and then using the scan tool you can reset the values to tell the ECU its been refilled and then you could avoid that mileage shite kicking in telling you that you need a new dpf even though you actually don't?
Hi jimmy just been watching your videos. Awsome informative. Thanks for taking the time to put them up with tips.. Looked for something about lexus is 220d nothing come up.. . My egr on my lexus is coming up lts done it before but I cleaned it freed it up.. But now keeps coming up and going in limp mode any ideas thanks dave
Cheers Jimmy. It begs the question if Manufacturers continue to make new Diesel Vans and Cars from 2030 onwards will they cancel the function to stop you being able to reprogram the DPF?. See you on the next one.

Depends on how high the pressure of the DPF will get to as when you get the light that the fluid is empty, the van will stop doing a regen. So it depends. We had that empty fluid message for like a whole month as we didn't have the time to refil it and when we did, the pressure was actually not that bad.
@@hadiamrane thanks for reply👌🙏 , it only came on yesterday and it’s booked into the garage next Friday to get that tank filled , so it hopefully will be ok for a few days of driving next week

Many manufacturers have already started to lock systems so only a dealership account can reset
I'd be asking them overseas customers to bring me a bottle of whisky on the way ha ha.

There's a lot of techs in nice warm buildings, that havnt got his skills, who play parts dart's on main agent money...
He's a mobile tech..... Workshop not really required if he's mobile is there?
