Exactly. That's called being verbose. It doesn't make the argument an intelligible one, it just makes it appear so. I kind of find that frustrating myself. His ideal here seems to be to make his language as complicated and convoluted as possible so that people will fall into his trap. The ideal goal of language should be to shoot for clarity in communication. "What do you mean by this...? What do you mean by that...? And actually getting to the crux of the matter. I know not all concepts are that easy to follow, but individuals should at least try to make it easier for layman ears to follow.

@@christophercombs7561 thats true but most of the time even JP says before the interview normally the people are kinda and courteous and polite then right when the interview starts they flip and start attacking and start being condescending. But with the GQ interviewer he says that from the jump she was hostile and rude and told him ‘theres gunna be a battle’. He held his own very well and in my mind came out on top but once she started off talking to me like that i wouldv just left the interview no shot someone is gunna be rude and expect me to have a decent convo you know? @@santosmadrigal3702 Same happened to me. Very close friends are now enemies and I'm so glad for it because this fiasco has proven who the true nasty people are. I said something to my friend who was going through a really hard time with loneliness and despair, and I tried to make the point that he is not alone because I remember distinctly when I was in the 8th grade I realized how alone I really was in the world, that people are cruel and insane in many ways. Anyway, his brother hops into the conversation along with some other random chode calling me an "Edgelord" and when I tried to defend my position my friend's brother says, "Yeah, well my buddy here is really smart so I'm going with his side to it". Oh, it finally comes out! You think I'm a moron, got it. Bye-bye. Silver lining I suppose. Last time I try to help anyone with their psychological shit, that's for sure. Unless she cleans my house, cooks my meals, makes my dick hard and not my life, I don't care what is going on in your head. Fight your battle on your own, I say.
Oh, and to any feminazis wanting to go apeshit off my comment, I work every day, therefore I cannot help with the house ALL the time. I need a teammate, a woman, who isn't afraid to take care of shit when I can't and vice versa. It's called being a fucking TEAM!

“I appreciate your delivering my meal, but I’d argue, and, in fact, I do make the argument that my pasta is not as specified. I specified el dente - you’re familiar with the term el dente? And another point that I must acknowledge is that the sauce is rather sparse. You do know what the word sparse means, correct? Would that be fair to say? Ok, well, I’m just questioning if the chef, or perhaps the chef’s assistants, all understand the concept of scarcity, specifically in terms of sauce distribution on a pasta dish. And you claim that this amount is typical, but I question your ability to gage what is truly typical. After all, what is typical and one’s ability to know it & then to really recognize it requires certain sensibilities that can be politicized without fair attention being paid to the goal of achieving equity within this food establishment. And this soup….”

The sad part is, that he actually had a relevant topic/question.
But because he tried to make it a for and or against, or personalize it into you think I think, rather than just the topic, the topic just disappeared in his own agenda.
People are so focused on these agendas that they ignore facts, truths and accept lies and in correct statements to defend them.
They single knowledge down to single points. But you will never learn anything from any single point, you learn from understanding the bigger picture, that consist of many points.
You can never explain one topic if all your focus is only on a fraction of it. but that is what people do because of the " Got YA " agenda words.
If you try to explain something between difference between woman and men, and people ignore everything down to the point if you say something that they can twist into a political agenda.
But if the person speaking about the entire topic is not speaking about a political agenda but the general topic, because that is how you can come to understand in and thus improve it, people pulling out one point and removing everything else that was said around it, will never represent what the person was saying in the first place.

There is an older joe rogan pod where he talks more about the hierarchy and talks about how they are predicated on the ability to have upward movement and ability to have those above treat us below with compassion and civility. In a perfect world were we could have all we wanted without other people losing then sure get rid of the hierarchy, but the fact is they serve a purpose which is why they naturally exist in nature (IE the lobster research). The trick is that people in power must work to keep the hierarchy from leaning tyrannical which hierarchys naturally tend to do through human history and in that balance that they work best

What is “the left” and what evidence do you have that this kid is of “the left” or are you programmed to believe that anyone who doesn’t like Peterson (who claims to be a “liberal”) is a member of “the left?”

@@christophermarang.3569 I read an old statement from Winston Churchill that sounds something like this. If you are young and NOT a liberal, you have no heart. If you are still a liberal when you are older, you haven't learned anything. Take no offence.

@@alandealing7144 I’m not “offended” I’m confused to what you assume “the left” is. I hear it a lot, but it sounds like code for “everything I don’t like.” The left aren’t liberals because the left is more extreme, but the right aren’t the left even tho they’re also extreme, it sounds a lot like “moderate propaganda.” Maybe if Churchill didn’t die before Civil Rights was codified he could have reevaluated his stance.
