It happend to me yesterday on Fold 4 top bottom crease. My old screen protector was ripped off and i bought new online and put on by my self and after putting it when I folded my phone it feels wired while folding and at first instant i felt something is wrong. Next day while using i just noticed there is small black dot on crease. I think this is caused by the New screen protector because when I Folded my phone it shrinks the screen which causes screen pixel dead. So I must Suggest never ever try to do any kind of experiment with Folds, i can go very bad 😥
2 days after I got handed over with the phone, two dots at the bottom aside the crease appeared 2 black dots... I didn't drop it or even press on that area, but it worked well for 2 years from the prev user of it.
Mine has done the same near the top…I had to take it to EE as it it is also a Samsung service centre.. the guy said it’s a dead pixel and even though the phone is in warranty he told me it would be chargeable …as I must have put pressure on it … joke.. if I have to pay ,it will be the last Samsung devise I will ever buy
A black spot 2mm wide 5mm long has just appeared after having the phone for 8 months. Hardly open the screen. I thought it was the screen protector coming off but alas, dead pixels. Wil take it to Samsung soon and see what they will do. Folding screen promises so much but delivered so little in terms of build quality.
I've had the same issue. I have two large splotched and you can literally feel it if you run your fingers over it. It doesn't have a screen protector and it's right on the crease
Are you sure its not the screen protector coming off/up..? I have had my z fold2 for over 2yrs and had no issues with the screens...I did take off the screen protector on my z fold2 right about the 2yr mark because it got dull and started to come up on the bottom middle of the screen crease..I did not get the z fold3...but I did keep my z fold2 which still runs and looks like new, and bought the z fold4 and still have the screen protector on and have had no issues with the screens on it after 5mnths..
Mine just did after 3 months, a perfect oval in the crease that's slowly expanding.
Same appeared on mine just recently same shape but on the top part of the crease
Mine just did the same thing I got it in September when it came out different spot on crease but definitely a dead cell

Why would the screen protector coming up put a black splotches in my screen?
It's now happened to me twice wtf
It's horrible. Can't wait to get back to a regular phone
