Liu Kang doing what he can as the new god is honorable. He tried his best with the many villains and reform them. His growth as a character has come a long way, though I am curious does he miss being human or the relationship he had with Kitana.
It makes me laugh how despite him being a humble and mindful protector, so many of these characters are so… bitchy and spiteful toward him. We the audience and Lui Kang know EXACTLY how bad things have been but these characters have no clue how sweet they’ve got it. They seem like naggy children almost Lui is over here like,”Hey, imma just be helping and guiding over here. Don’t want worship or anything. Just want to help…*whispers* and maybe keep everyone from annihilating each other.” The outworlders,”fUcKiN PuPpET MaStErrrr!” Lui Kang, *sigh* Such is his burden, I guess 😂
Any other person would have ruled, conquered and controlled everything if they had this much power yet lui choose to make them the best versions of themselves and let them live good lives that weren't possible in the previous one's but yet they still complain about it
It's a good feeling seeing your childhood favorite characters actually grows up into something else...Like Lui kang become a God Ryu become a Master/Mentor and Jin become...well Jin is still Jin. But it seems like he finally controlled his gene so that still counts ?
But they believe he can. And that is why they are unnerved by him. Liu Kang is no puppet master, he merely wrote the first chapter and let the rest of the story tell itself.
Especially Baraka. In most of the intros with the heroes Baraka is pretty polite and mild. Liu Kang is sort of the only one he seems downright angry at and who can blame him?
They thought Titan Liu Kang is Omnipotent, though as the keeper of time, all he did is make a new weave of timeline and not to control fate and i wonder, why the heck is Havik in OrderRealm anyway lol, i thought he's supposed to be a Citizen of ChaosRealm since he wants Anarchy so bad.
@@ForganMreeman-0to Nuter him, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shao Khan, Shinnok and Onaga, the Major Antagonists of the OG Series were all Nutred in some form or another, Shang Tsung became instead of an Earthrealm Former Champion turned Outworld's Second in Command to Outworld Snake Oil salesman. Quan Chi from Demonic Necromancer to Miner, Shinnok is Depowered even more this time to the point he wasn't able to build the Amulet he had in the OG timelines, Shao Khan is now merely a Mortal General instead of Immortal Conqueror of the Realms to the point he is younger than Sindel, And Onaga was imprisoned and from what is implied never Ruler of Outworld. P.S Liu Kang also has a habit of Trying to reform the Villains of the Previous timelines and/or still making them in a similar but lesser position they were in the OG timeline, Havok has always wanted to destroy orderrealm but by making him a denisen of Orderealm he probably hoped to reform both Havok and Orderrealm at the sametime problem is Havok was changed back to his OG Self.
Half of the dialogues being “why did you made me like this!!? 😡” and Liu Kang going “My bad 😢” is sad but funny, but nobody thank him for making them hot!
I really hope Onaga is added as a DLC story or something. Liu Kang mentions him multiple times and it sounds like he's just as much of a threat as he was in the previous timeline, if not more.
Titan Onaga storyline will be wild. Perhaps this is just the direction of future Mortal Kombats - to have Liu Kang's timeline assaulted by other Titans. Titan Shao, Titan Onaga, perhaps even Dark Titan Raiden or Dark Titan Sindel or others.
I like how Liu Kang is portrayed as a benevolent deity that just people do their own thing. Hopefully, NRS doesn't fuck it up by turning him into a villain as per Shang Tsung's MK9 ending, or something. And I don't like that the Edenian royals are questioning him, he's been their ally for millennia yet they doubt him still🤦🏾♂️
Also I'd like to point out that out of everyone SHAO is the one that shows the healthiest and altogether most normal response to finding out that Liu is his creator. Seriously. If you pay close attention to the tone of his voice during the interactions regarding the topic and the words he uses you will hear it clear as day. These are the only moments that Shao doesn't demonstrate any form of resentment or suspicion. Confusion, surprise, curiosity, and a bit of shock? Yes. But that is perfectly understandable and wholly justified given the circumstances. But these are the ONLY times that Shao doesn't express any resentment or try to blame Liu for his own failings. Which, to me at least, says a lot more about his character than a lot of the other things he's done. You can tell a lot about someone by how they respond to the idea of their maker so it stems to reason you can learn more about them when they are faced with their maker in person. Especially considering how everyone elses reactions can be described as overly resentful or maybe a bit too excited for one reason or another. It's just strange hearing Shao be the most mature one in the room about this...
A sobering one with Geras: "This timeline has not improved as I had hoped..." "Thoughts like that led to Kronika's madness." Ouch... Liu Kang learning how hard it is... Welp, time for Geras to knock some sense into him as the one with THE MOST experience with handling mad Titans.
I love how despite Liu Kang being the literal creator of the universe he is still very humble and respectful, and talks to people like he’s just one of them, ringing the doorbell at Johnny Cages mansion, calling the Outworld royal family princesses or empress, even dining with the champions at Madam Bo’s, I guess he truly started from humble beginnings.
That's some peoples' problem. Expect someone with more power to solve all of their problems for them. When they don't get that, they blame that person.

Lmao! His interraction with Sub-Zero is so funny. "Bi-Han! Don't do that, Bi-Han!" "Bi-Han! You killed people, Bi-Han!" "Bi-Han! What the f*ck!" "Bi-Haaaan!!!!" "This is a bad idea, Bi-Han!" "How many times do i need to teach you this, Bi-Han!?"
4:08 Liu Kang: The Umgadi’s vigilance is a BOON to Outworld. Tanya: Do you say that TOBIAS me in your favor? Didn’t realize Liu Kang was the Pun God in this timeline.
Intro 1: Liu Kang: a friend of yours says I remind her of you Ryu: And now I see, why Chun-Li would think that Intro 2: Ryu: Do you think it's possible our worlds were meant to coexist as one? Liu Kang: if that is so, I'm sure we'll all get along well Ryu Intro 3: Ryu: others may disagree but to give up being a god with such power, is the most powerful thing to do Liu Kang: and you knowing that must make you the most powerful of all Intro 4: Liu Kang: you show more promise than the others Ryu: I rather we not compare me to the others Liu Kang Intro 5: Liu Kang: I don't think I can't rid you of your darkness Ryu: I rather keep it, it's the only reminder I have to do the best I can to hold back Intro 6: Liu Kang: Mileena is looking for someone to rule by her side with Ryu: my heart belongs only to Chun-Li
Honestly I like Liu King as the god then Raiden was and he was a god cuz he had so many flaws when he was a god but Liu Kane he's starting out and now that he knows what to do and what to not do He's good because he know what it was like to be human now he must know what it has to be like to be a god
It’s probably already been said but I love the addition of having one of his fire hands being blue. Makes him seem like a real god. Idk. Hard to explain… But it’s so cool!
I also kind of feel bad for Liu Kang, with everyone blaming him for things in the timeline; he didn't take away their free will, and he even admits he has a limited amount of capabilities when it comes to foreseeing futures. Cut him a break
Wishful thinking, might as well keep dreaming cuz I don't think they'll bring him back anytime soon in spite of so many people who have been requesting it even up until this very game.
Oh come on joker be more creative like making liu Kang kill his family make do ridiculous deadly tasks and make him die in the most humiliating way by wearing a poison shirt
So Liu Kang went from an Earthrealm champion, the Champion of Mortal Kombat, a ghost, a powerful soul among the souls of Ermac, a zombie, once again an Earthrealm champion, a revenant, a revenant powerful enough to literally rule the Netherrealm after Shinnok, an elemental deity, a literal Time Keeper, and now the Protector of Earthrealm. Of all fighting game protagonists, Ryu, Terry Bogard, Kyo Kusanagi, Morrigan Aensland, Kazuya Mishima, Siegfried Schtauffen, Sol Badguy, Haohmaru, or Morrigan Aensland, I'd say Liu Kang has undergone the most developments of them all. He has been on the mid, the bottom, and now the top.
What about Paul Phoenix? (from The Tekken series) because Paul fought Kazuya to a draw battle and fought Ogre (his first form) but not his second form of Ogre. And Paul actually defeated Kuma many times in the tournament (I think)

It makes me laugh how despite him being a humble and mindful protector, so many of these characters are so… bitchy and spiteful toward him. We the audience and Lui Kang know EXACTLY how bad things have been but these characters have no clue how sweet they’ve got it. They seem like naggy children almost
Lui is over here like,”Hey, imma just be helping and guiding over here. Don’t want worship or anything. Just want to help…*whispers* and maybe keep everyone from annihilating each other.”
The outworlders,”fUcKiN PuPpET MaStErrrr!”
Lui Kang, *sigh*
Such is his burden, I guess 😂
Any other person would have ruled, conquered and controlled everything if they had this much power yet lui choose to make them the best versions of themselves and let them live good lives that weren't possible in the previous one's but yet they still complain about it
Tbf if people met God they would act the same
- The Umgadi's vigilance is a _boon_ to Outworld.
- Do you say that _to bias_ in your favor?
Subtle, Ed. Veeery subtle.
I really liked his "I don't need worship, all I ask for is faith" line.
How I wish someone so peaceful and humble like Liu Kang exist. ❤
What about superman
don't wish. Be one.
Be, don't wish.
Be under no illusion that such a thing will be easy, however.
Both Liu Kang and Ryu are both humbled
@@Leon-tr8ty and like their first movies
It's a good feeling seeing your childhood favorite characters actually grows up into something else...Like
Lui kang become a God
Ryu become a Master/Mentor and
Jin become...well Jin is still Jin.
But it seems like he finally controlled his gene so that still counts ?
The Mishima men are steadfast in not giving a fuck about changing. 😂
I truly hope Jin becomes a loving father and has a child with Xiaoyu.
Jin went from good boy to war criminal.
@@azuresaiyan9005Bro committed so many that he managed to get his mom back with the milk
Yeah sadly jin never change
Unsurprisingly, they're all skeptical about Liu Kang's choices as Keeper of Time
He can’t control every aspect of time
But they believe he can.
They thought Titan Liu Kang is Omnipotent, though as the keeper of time, all he did is make a new weave of timeline and not to control fate
and i wonder, why the heck is Havik in OrderRealm anyway lol, i thought he's supposed to be a Citizen of ChaosRealm since he wants Anarchy so bad.
@@ForganMreeman-0to Nuter him, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shao Khan, Shinnok and Onaga, the Major Antagonists of the OG Series were all Nutred in some form or another,
Shang Tsung became instead of an Earthrealm Former Champion turned Outworld's Second in Command to Outworld Snake Oil salesman.
Quan Chi from Demonic Necromancer to Miner,
Shinnok is Depowered even more this time to the point he wasn't able to build the Amulet he had in the OG timelines,
Shao Khan is now merely a Mortal General instead of Immortal Conqueror of the Realms to the point he is younger than Sindel,
And Onaga was imprisoned and from what is implied never Ruler of Outworld.
P.S Liu Kang also has a habit of Trying to reform the Villains of the Previous timelines and/or still making them in a similar but lesser position they were in the OG timeline,
Havok has always wanted to destroy orderrealm but by making him a denisen of Orderealm he probably hoped to reform both Havok and Orderrealm at the sametime problem is Havok was changed back to his OG Self.
I like how a good chunk of his intros is him trying to talk sense into his opponent
Half of the dialogues being “why did you made me like this!!? 😡” and Liu Kang going “My bad 😢” is sad but funny, but nobody thank him for making them hot!
HE is too humble to say "I literally gave you the life with which to reform. I don't control your character."
Now he knows how Raiden felt
@@ThreeEyedPeaDoes he? Liu Kangs responsibility as Keeper of Time far eclipsed any that Raiden had

I really hope Onaga is added as a DLC story or something. Liu Kang mentions him multiple times and it sounds like he's just as much of a threat as he was in the previous timeline, if not more.
I think it will be an expansion story .. on when onaga will cause havok to the figthers and titan havik will support onaga ..
It'd be nice if Shujinko is gonna be the Main MC if there is MK1 aftermath story cause you know Shujinko vs Onaga just fits right in.
@@davisdapiton9676His name literally means protagonist (shujinkou)
@@renjoujihoping for Titan Havik and Onaga to be the main villains in the aftermath story expansion
That face Kuai Liang makes when Liu Kang says “In prior timelines, you were Sub Zero.”
Makes him wonder “if I was Sub Zero, who was scorpion?” 👀
Hanzo.
I like how Liu Kang is portrayed as a benevolent deity that just people do their own thing. Hopefully, NRS doesn't fuck it up by turning him into a villain as per Shang Tsung's MK9 ending, or something. And I don't like that the Edenian royals are questioning him, he's been their ally for millennia yet they doubt him still🤦🏾♂️
They are skepticle of him eing "too nice" and "too hum ble" to be the creator and previously a Titan
He LIED to them and withheld information for milennia... it makes sense that the trust they held has been damaged badly.
24:48
Damn…..
My boy does not fear death
Liu the true goat of kombat
You wouldn't be too if you lived for millions of years
9:15
Honestly best fan service reference so far
I love that he tells Scorpion that he was previously Sub Zero
The best part is Liu Kang having a more enlightened personality is basically how Bruce Lee actually was in real life since he was very philosophical.
thank you so much for uploading all these compilations! they give so much more depth to the characters❤
A sobering one with Geras:
"This timeline has not improved as I had hoped..."
"Thoughts like that led to Kronika's madness."
Ouch... Liu Kang learning how hard it is... Welp, time for Geras to knock some sense into him as the one with THE MOST experience with handling mad Titans.
Well, Liu Kang has plans for Geras to take over in case he dies er, once Liu Kang dies.
@@zaberfang True as well. Who knows better than Geras of the madness the Hourglass can induce.
Liu Kang definitely regret reveal him being the time keeper, look at all this people blame him for not intervene/let it be
Basically if god/Jesus was in physical form among current people 😂
That's some peoples' problem. Expect someone with more power to solve all of their problems for them. When they don't get that, they blame that person.
To be fair Liu Kang is not omnipotent nor claims to be unlike the Bible and Quran

0:30 Well to be fair to Joker, the same trick works on superman so it mustve been one hell of a joke
I wonder if Liu Kang’s plan for Shang Tsung was to eventually cure Tarkat.
Potentially yes given how Shang was able to treat mileena most of the time.
That's depressing.
Given he said he gave Shang a “meaningless life”, that’s doubtful.
My favorite mk character. And he always will be 💯
Is it just me or are most characters in this MK 1 just so... wholesome?
Makes sense. Look who started the time line. But ofc there are a few of the outliers that aren't so wholesome
Just you!
It totally is, but it doesn't bother me: in fact, that might be why I think it's my favorite one in the series😮
Im happy that Kai is in this timeline and a Shaolin Master at that!

The more they talk about Raiden’s sister the more I want to see her in game
Yeah I want to see fujin
Shang Tsung: Your plan to punish me has failed.
Liu Kang: I wished to reform you, not punish you.
I like how this implies that Liu Kang was hoping that Shang Tsung could have become a good person, even after everything he has done in the previous timelines.
I know he intended for Shang Tsung to live a meaningless life but I still don’t think he intended to harm him, just humble him

Syzoth and Ashrash are apparently a couple in all these intros. Interesting. Wonder how they’ll explore it in the sequel.
Liu kang being assistant director is nice
25:03 LETS GOOO
12:55 finally someone pronounced "liu kang" in the correct way (mandarin)

Liu Kang: a friend of yours says I remind her of you
Ryu: And now I see, why Chun-Li would think that
Intro 2:
Ryu: Do you think it's possible our worlds were meant to coexist as one?
Liu Kang: if that is so, I'm sure we'll all get along well Ryu
Intro 3:
Ryu: others may disagree but to give up being a god with such power, is the most powerful thing to do
Liu Kang: and you knowing that must make you the most powerful of all
Intro 4:
Liu Kang: you show more promise than the others
Ryu: I rather we not compare me to the others Liu Kang
Intro 5:
Liu Kang: I don't think I can't rid you of your darkness
Ryu: I rather keep it, it's the only reminder I have to do the best I can to hold back
Intro 6:
Liu Kang: Mileena is looking for someone to rule by her side with
Ryu: my heart belongs only to Chun-Li
Honestly I like Liu King as the god then Raiden was and he was a god cuz he had so many flaws when he was a god but Liu Kane he's starting out and now that he knows what to do and what to not do He's good because he know what it was like to be human now he must know what it has to be like to be a god
5:33 - Considering what he did in MK Armageddon's ending as well as MK11's ending (which is one of many canon events), Liu Kang isn't wrong here.

Can we take a moment that Joker able to trick not just Superman, but even Liu Kang successfully on killing their love ones?
The fact that he can shows just how crazy Joker is
Oh come on joker be more creative like making liu Kang kill his family make do ridiculous deadly tasks and make him die in the most humiliating way by wearing a poison shirt
@@bettercallpaul3579Paul kinda fell off after tekken 4, he’s like the reverse Liu Kang in terms of character development. Started off legit but became comic relief
