@@JF59122it's because we're so used to mileena being mean and she's just really nice and once she gets enraged with her tarkatan disease she focuses on protecting people instead of hurting them. It's kinda cute lol

Johnny and Kenshi being best bros is just the best. Also like how Kenshi, Kung Lao, Johnny, Reptile, Baraka and Ashrah are like *THE* friend group.
Not sure about Baraka, he definitely respects them but I don’t think he considers himself close enough to be friends with them

Love that one the most for how wholesome it is. Now I can just imagine Johnny going around as Kenshi's hype man bragging about his best friends skills to others characters.
What's not to like about Kenshi? He's very humble and friendly. He has had a bad past with the Yakuza but he left that life and reformed. Kenshi is one of my favorites in this game. I'm a sucker for nice guys and Kenshi is one of the nicest aside from Liu Kang.
What about Raiden?
He's also a hottie ❤

Then came 10:48 with him bragging about Sento 😂😂😂 But fr tho he’s one of the greatest characters to ever grace the franchise.
Kenshi dialogues be like:

Back when kenshi was not blind. He had a serious angry look on his face less humour, but now he is more friendly, more humour all because he hang out with Johnny
Kenshi Takahashi aka the Matt Murdock of the MK universe. I love that he returned in this latest installment and he more sleek than ever before. Mileena and Kenshi are giving me Daredevil and Elektea vibes. I adore it. The chemistry is dangerous

Kenshi interraction with Baraka is strangely wholesome.
Baraka here isn't some grunt but a leader who just wants the best for people suffering like him
I'm not surprised, Kenshi was quite polite to him, he even wanted to shake his hand, all the shit that baraka went through before like being isolated with other infected people and being used for his blood, having a person come up to you for a dialogue must have generated respect for him.

My favorite character of the game. I just love his aesthetic, voice, and design (man, does Kenshi look _good_ ). Seeing him broing it up with Johnny during the story was icing on the cake.
At 0:37 when the mk 1 kenshi asks whos the keeper of time to the other kenshi he responds "kano" as in the kano from mortal kombat: Legends Snowblind. Kano in that movie got hold of kronika's crown. and controlled time to his biding. This was an awsome refrence.

*KENSHI* is like a mix between a less angry *Scorpion* & a humorous *Johnny Cage*. He can be a bit funny, but he can also be scary when serious.
A great warrior doesn’t rely on just their eyes for they can be deceived.
Once a warrior achieves mastery of their other senses, no foe can stand against them.

I've always loved Kenshi. One of my fav MK characters of all time. I also love his friendship with Johnny Cage

I really like Kenshi's modesty and restraint, knowing that he is a former yakuza covered in tattoos from head to toe, especially against the backdrop of the cheeky Johnny Cage. It's so funny and interesting. I love him ❤❤❤

6 hours late, but NO MATTER!!! Hearing Vic Chao’s voice is like listening to an old friend.
It’s so good to see him reprise his role as Kenshi when he first voiced him in MKX!

Kenshi will always be my favorite character not only in fighting games, but in video games in general.
I'm very fond of him for using him in local tournaments, so seeing him back, with more development and prominence in the story of MK1 makes me feel happy and excited about his future :'^].
Plus they gave him a character archetype in gameplay that's pretty fun and badass to use.
I figured there would be an intro with kenshi and ashrah boasting about who has the better sword lol
They are sword buddies.
I would actually call Sento the more enchanted blade, because Ashrah's Kriss was made to kill evil, but Sento is powerful enough to literally give Kenshi supernatural abilities.

Yes! Been waiting for this! I only started following the MK series from MKX and Kenshi was my favourite. Now to see him back in MK1, I’m elated!
While the part where he got blinded was truly heartbreaking, I’m so glad he rose to the occasion to be an amazing loyal warrior to his friends.
Love the part in the story where he was searching for Reptile when he got into trouble, where he was willing to sacrifice himself when fighting Quan Chi (the part where Johnny gave him Sento). A true honorable swordsman with my highest respect!

So Rain's real name is Zeffeero? Is this a reference to Overlord Zeffeero from Mortal Kombat Deception?
I'd assume so. I have a head canon/theory that he is Rain's father in this timeline (since it is confirmed that Argus isn't) and he died before Rain's birth, so his mother Amara named him after his father. Unless there is something in the game I missed that contradicts this.

Johnny Cage giving Kenshi the Sento is just a very wholesome scene I've witnessed. Their bond grow strong in that one particular action that has done, and the way they change from being rivals at each other to being best friends at the end. It’s good to see all works out. Also, his past relationship about the Yakuza, he wasn't into it he was just used to it.
Guys, feel free to correct me. I am trying to know and understand more about mortal Kombat, I've been into it for just over a month and I have hard time spotting about the lores. So sorry if my English isn't good by explaining these and sorry for accidentally neglecting. I want to also get to understand more about the lore.

Genuinely curious about why or how the Taira clan tangled with the Lin Kuei. Clearly, the Taira clan has some pretty unsavory history, which makes sense considering their IRL history.

These videos highlight a major problem I have with 2 dialogue intros, instead of the 3 dialogue intros from MK11.
There's agreement between the fighters, no need to fight, but they do anyway.
The implication with most is that they're sparring together to hone their skills.
All MK fans should Prepare for Kombat
