We made 355whp on a 3" exhaust that necked down to 2.25-2.5" at some points. Had a muffler at the end too. Old school Greddy T78 turbo. It must be the exhaust housing on that turbo causing the back pressure, but you're where you're supposed to be power wise for that boost level from what I know. We made 355 at 13-15psi on an unported 13B-REW then with a full port job and bridge ports we made 350 about 2-3psi lower. Not logging back pressure, but I'm sure we had a ton with the tiny exhaust. Either way it made tons of pulls and drifted just fine with the tiny exhaust. Just thought I'd chime in. I'm sure the bigger exhaust housing will remedy.
@@BIGSMOKE-bl2lq TBH when you're rushing to get a car done and a proper exhaust can take a lot of hours, I totally get it. Plus flames make for good footage of course. The noise gets old fast though. There were multiple kinks necking down to like sub 2.5" and when we cut the muffler open to mod it, it was a less than 2.5" pipe that teed into a 3" pipe, but went over halfway in, so it was necked down to something like 2" of actual diameter 90 degrees in 2 directions. The downpipe was a true 3" straight off the back of the turbo that went down to a 3" pipe we added and welded to the stock resonator we cut off on one side to act like a 3" pipe, hahaha. Anyways, even with all that we made 355 no problem, but it was limiting our top end. Power started to fall off past 7500 or so. Later we went to a full 3" all the way back to a boom tube, and that eliminated the top end restriction. The rest of the powerband was similar, just more power everywhere since the engine had been ported too. Made the same power with a couple less PSI. When I was a teenager back in ancient times those little cars were common little gas savers and I think they ran a 1600 hemi. The way this thing was built with top of the line parts and wired the way it was along with fueltech ecu makng super user friendly. It wouldn't surprise me after sick week after all that testing if they don't decide to give it away! They havent given away car they built since they gave away the MR2. I know its supposed to be for Wyatt but it could be a good cover up story
