Just to tell you how much Kyle saved the day here, homie came all the way from the domincan republic so it would've been even more of a shame for his race to end because of that

@ilacefy9592 it reminds me of the bmx and mtb community at bike parks if you have a puncture or something comes loose everyone will help you fix it and get riding again
You might have figured this out by now, but methanol washes the cylinder walls a lot more than ethanol, which means the rings don't seat as well, which in turn gets you a lot more blow-by/crankcase pressure. It's pretty normal for a methanol motor to breathe a LOT more than a gas/ethanol motor. I learned this from Jay from Real Street. In my B series I run 4 x 10AN hoses to relief crank pressure, and I've seen people run 6 of them. 2 are probably not enough.
How big of a hose can be practically put on the valve cover? Less connections to go loose or something. If I had one for myself it would have a huge teflon hose, or two of them to be safe Something else to think of is how colder the engine is when on methanol which means the rings won't expand as much compared to gas, adding to blowby.
Idk much about k series but on my 4g63 I run 3 10an because once I started running close to 50 psi on e85 the dipstick just wouldn’t stay in place even with a spring on it.
I got to shake hands with him and a few of the crew (cleet and george) last year. Sam, every time I saw him, he was smiling from ear to ear just having a ball. That's what I love about the racing community. You're definitely trying to win while competing but helping each other off the track. I think you're making the best decision swapping engines. Better safe than sorry. Good Luck this weekend!
I never wondered what you call someone from Quebec, but not only does "Quebecker" make sense, I'm not sure what else it could be. I like it. You say it just like "Quebec-er", right? There's not some other pronunciation? Sorry for the random question, it just got me curious about something I never really wondered. My boss is from BC, but it has never really come up 😂
Bro, someone told me that you sometimes answer back on your TH-cam channel. I’ve completely turbo built my 2000 integra IN MY WHEELCHAIR and I’m really proud of it. I was paralyzed in a motorcycle wreck in 2020. Tomorrow morning will be the first day that I actually start it. After I break it in, I really want YOU to help me tune it and possibly help me figure out a way to drive it easier. I was thinking about using a holds gold wing master cylinder and lever bolted to the shifter for the clutch 😂. I don’t know if you know a better way to do this but if anyone would know how to, it would be you. Man I watch you and all your builds and now I’m on the TH-cam channel. Please maybe you and kleetus could help me figure it out?! Congrats on almost 200mph you’re pretty close! Keep doing what you love man. Life is so short.
Reach out to a man named Curt Howell (I believe I've spelled it right, I will double check and edit to confirm or correct... Editted to verify I did indeed check and thats the correct spelling) and see what advice he can give you. He's been going fast with hand controls for years. He's in the 200+mph club in his GTR. He's a nice fella, and I would put money on it that he can point you in the right direction. These guys can help, I have no doubts. But that would be the one person I'd say could give you some of the best advice for your situation. I'm hoping between what Curt can tell you, and whatever these fellas might be able to help with. Much love, good luck, and go fast!

Fantastic job guys on the swap! Happy to see Emilio crewed up with you all. He's a good guy and loves to help. Seeing everyone pitch in and get it done is what it's all about. Because world cup!

long time follower, much love from australia. you sure have come a long way and you deserve every bit of it. was waiting to see this new wrap in action 😍
It's gotta come down to the break-in procedure used for that billet motor not seating the rings properly. Probably need to use low-zinc oil and do the break-in on pump gas.
from what we've seen it went from their garage straight to the track full blast lol i'm all for a nice beatdown on the break-in, but that's too much, imho.
Man those 4 bangers have one hell of a sound on the 2 step, y'all have made a believer out of me on the power they make, the only problem is they don't stay together as long as the v8s
There are a ton of racers like that, i would have given up and quit racing 20 years ago if it wasn't for the community, have had guys pull parts out of their motor and loan them to me so i could get my car ready for the next round, i have some great friends that i only ever see in the pits a couple times a year, there are a few guys out there that will screw over other racers but the majority of the drag race community are good people who just love to go fast.
I saw Brent on That Track Channel he was on a few times and saw the Cleetus crew but there was no Boosted Boiz but glad to see you made it. Give er Hell
Billet grows more….6061 has like .4% silicone content, cast is more like 5. I’m sure jbr is spot on with their tolerances for this, just wondering if you should try seating fresh rings on gas. You still also might not have enough breather, adding two -12s is barely more surface area than a single 16. Most methanol cars run a 16 minimum in each valve cover. And the lines go up at least 2-3 inches so the oil can condense and run back into the cover. You’re venting 1500+hp through two 12s with an immediate 90, it might build pressure just trying to push the oil through to the can.
Let’s gooo!!! Really cool how you show respect to competitors and how your channel is just all about a good positive competitive time!! Rooting for you guys!! LETS GOOOOO

Well done guys! Great to read in the comments that someone has a solution to the pressure issue. Wishing you the best of 🇬🇧 luck over the coming days 🤞
That pass you went 7:76 you could hear when the boost finally came back in at the top of the track, sounded kinda funky but was still solid. Really a bummer you keep having problems with the billet block.
Two things, slipper if your at the point where minor adjustments are making a huge difference, you need to tighten it then leave at a higher boost/power. You will be controlling slip with power For crankcase pressure, that pressure is because the oil is blocking the a lines to the catch can as it’s venting, nowhere for pressure to get out. It’s like a straw when you’re at the bottom of the cup, just sending slugs of oil that block crankcase pressure from venting. You need a Venturi setup to the exhaust (turbo outlet) that will pull crankcase pressure out.
Great to see Canada representing! Even if they are French.... hahaha. I am a solid Toyota guy, so always nice to see my homeland making some waves, and to be told... Quebec's racing scene is pretty awesome.
Love this full week of racing . Pfi and boosted bois are killing it from having up and downs but fixing what need to be fix and team work going!!! That goes to all the teams out there in WORLD CUP y’all killing it!!!!

Damn its been 24 hrs, his next video is out, and he destroyed a turbo. I knew it was the turbo impeller, I just wish he saw this yesterday and checked it.
Crank case vacuum pump actually helps seal the rings. They use them on circle track cars endurance cars. The boost levels are so crazy that they run now is amazing.
James on a ROLL out there. hope that good luck keeps on luckin. Mr2 looks GREAT and we got a good old fashioned boostedboiz limiter burnout through the 60ft. just like old times lol
Good job lads. What oiling system does it have? I'm sure it still runs a wet sump and OEM oil pump? Maybe a dry sump system with vacuum stages to keep the engine out of positive crankcase pressure is the next move?
James is the real winner this week.

That’s a very good point. I’m sure that can be said for the stem seals also.?? Possibly escaping pressure there. Four at each cylinder.
How big of a hose can be practically put on the valve cover? Less connections to go loose or something. If I had one for myself it would have a huge teflon hose, or two of them to be safe
Something else to think of is how colder the engine is when on methanol which means the rings won't expand as much compared to gas, adding to blowby.

Would a vacuum pump work?
