I just bought both the iPad Air 4 and the Folio Touch and I couldn’t be more pleased. The Magic Keyboard just offered zero protection and is far to expensive.

Would love if these two had a child and combined the best features of each one. Great review of both keyboards. I was looking at the Magic as I liked the additional USB-C and backlit keys.but I’m going to stick with my Smart Keyboard. Light and easy to use. Thanks again!
You convinced me: I'm going for the Logitech case. Granted, the Apple keyboard looks a lot more sexier than the Logitech case. But an iPad is a work-on-the-road instrument. It goes in and out of back packs, briefcases and sometimes it just switches from one pair of bare hands to the other. So it deserves proper protection and after watching this video: I just don't see the Apple keyboard providing that protection. It looks hot as hell and it's prettier than the last 10 Miss Universe combined. But... no protection like the Logitech...
Believe me the Logitech keyboard is better by a mile I have used both and the only benefit the magic keyboard has is the usbc passthrough cable but you will never notice a difference if you haven’t used the magic keyboard
I had the magic keyboard and while it looks really nice real use is absolutely awful. The floating design wastes a lot of vertical space on the keyboard so the your fingers always hit the bottom of the tablet. It also wastes a lot of potential space for the palm rests and touchpad when they could potentially be much bigger. Lastly the material used in the magic keyboard picks up a lot of liquids and oils so it’ll get ugly in a month of usage.
@@pruthavparab1077 passthrough is useful but if you get a good power hub it’ll include another usb c port for charging which replaces the need for it anyway
I own the Magic Keyboard and use a huge trackpad from Apple just because it's so much fun! Unfortunately, these are very expensive products and I just think that everyone should buy whatever they're the happiest with. I'm physically disabled due to two trucks hitting me several years ago, and the iPad has been my Savior because I can no longer sit at a desk for long periods.
I went for the Logitech case for my 11” iPad Pro and could not be happier with it. The keyboard feels quite good, function keys are super useful, it provides more protection than Apple’s case, keyboard can be folded away when consuming media - a feature that I LOVE, the wrist rests are larger, and while the trackpad used the diving board mechanism it is a much more comfortable shape. Furthermore, I just like the way it looks and feels much better, and the materials seem to age better too.

I have the Logitech one, there is a big disadvantage, it frequently lose compatibility with iPadOS upgrades, with iPadOS 14.0 I lost compatibility, until 14.2 came it worked again.
I constantly have to restart my iPad Pro because the onscreen keyboard pops up like my Folio isn’t connected even though I still can type on it. Is this part of the compatibility issue or would it be happening with the Magic keyboard too? Magic keyboard is now down to $199 thinking about switching.
@@fortunezworld6566 I tried that and I am still having the same issues of the software key popping up and blocking the screen. The keyboard sometimes doesn't work when this happens, but the track pad still does. I am guessing it has to due with the fact I'm switching between using the hardware screen to software screen (I teach math with it and will be writing out solutions and replying to messages from my students). If I don't ever use the software keyboard while the case is attached it seems to work fine, but as soon as I use it once, then I need to restart the iPad just to get it to work normal again. It's just a headache, but I'm not sure if the Apple keyboard would behave any differently.

something to consider with magic keyboard (despite not having a function row). in day to day use, it puts the ipad closer to your hands while typing, this lets you interact with the autocorrect touch row that lines the bottom of the screen. since most people leave this feature on, it makes it much easier to correct words that could be “slang” or jargon that autocorrect wants to change to something else. just something to consider. would’ve definitely liked a function row, but the track pad makes it simple to reach the control center
The cloth material on the Logitech was a turnoff for me but to be honest the soft rubbery material on the Magic Keyboard can’t be effectively cleaned either. But I was able to skin the Magic Keyboard which is great for people who like to personalize their gear. Also, the glass trackpad on the MK is soooo premium.
it was the first thing I thought when I watched this video! I said dang he looks like Ross! lol. awesome video btw! I'm definitely going for the folio touch for more functionality and protection 😊
I watched this video after I had already made my decision to buy the logitech. This just confirm that I made the right decision. I just want to tell you I really appreciate the care and the detail that you go through in your videos. The comparisons in the contrast only confirmed the decision that I made. Thank you for your hard work keep it up!
I'm so glad the video was useful in confirming your choice! Thank you for taking the time to leave such great feedback - Appreciate you being part of the channel!
Thank you for this review. It helps me decide which one is my choice, Logitech is my choice because of the shortcut keys and the bonus - the price difference.
You have changed my mind to the Logitech after this. Deciding factor was being able to adjust the screen to use the pencil or read and the added protection. Thank you!
Extremely happy that I found your channel while looking for iPad Air 4 accessories. Your video production quality is outstanding. Your voice and on camera presence emanates trustworthiness and expertise. In this video, some of the features you compare and discuss are ones I would not have considered until too late. Thank you. I am a big guy with big hands, so keyboard size, key size, and space between keys is always something I consider. You covered that for me! I've joined your Tech Gear Talk community. I look forward to viewing your past content and anything new you share. Aloha!
I am a student who was looking for a hardcopy notebook alternative. I also have long commute hours, so I was in need of a laptop alternative for digital work. The review was very thorough, and I appreciated the sound test. I love the sound of my keyboard. Family doesn't appreciate the clicking sounds, but I prefer it as it makes me feel studious while working. The functions you highlighted sold me on what I was hesitatant to buy. This fit into what I was looking for; a partner or replacement for a laptop when I do not have the luxury of a desk.
Sorry for commenting a “negative” thing but I feel like this video is very biased and very much leaning over to the Logitech Keyboard. But I personally will prefer the magic keyboard…. Overall though…. Some good points made on each side.
I am about to buy the iPad air for my daughter, as it's a requirement for her school. Was looking at the different keyboard setups and I think the Logitech is the way to go for us. Simply due to the fact that the case is more protective, and being that she is 11, I pretty much know she will be dropping it at some point. To have that extra protection is super helpful. We are also going to get the Logitech Crayon since I know she will probably be losing it, and I can't justify spending $150 on an apple pencil for the stranger who finds it after its lost.
@@hrishiv she’s in private school and the iPad is used for the majority of their text books, computer science classes, and STEM. I wish it wasn’t the case but it definitely lightens her backpack.
You have no choice but to press down on the iPad trackpad for basic operations like drag & drop or multi-tasking. It doesn’t matter of it’s set to tap-to-click, so the trackpad press does play a significant role.
The new Folio has a fully functional/clickable track pad. The only downside is there is no safety strap for the pencil. At least on the model i am currently using on my Air5. Over all i like it and the price is decent as well. Thanks for the video, you made me realize i made the right decision after all.
GREAT video, thank you! I was leaning more towards getting the magic keyboard, but after watching this detailed review, I have decided that the Logitech is the one that will best suit my needs!
You sold me on the Folio. I've been looking at ways to protect my (future) iPad if I took it off of the Magic Keyboard, but then it would be a big hassle. Having one high quality case that does almost everything I need would be better. The two main thing I would miss out on for my uses would be the ability the charge while using an external drive (without dongles) as well as typing on my lap. I've used a Surface Pro before and I hated using it as a "lap"top.
I got a deal for $250 on Amazon for the 12.9 magic keyboard so I went with that. I need it to be lapable for my use, I also have a stand for media consumption
I really enjoy your channel! Very informative and detailed! Also, I appreciate your speaking speed. It's not slow, not fast like other TH-camrs, but very comfortable for everyone to hear. Especially for non-native English speakers like me :) I think you will attract people around the world. Subscribed!
I you tend to read and take notes on IPad, Magic Keyboard is the best. You can easily detach the iPad and read for hours. Logitech is difficult to detach and makes it heavy to hold. I have both, I shifted recently from Logitech to Magic Keyboard. And don’t fall into the trap of protection, when was the last time you carelessly handled expensive IPad?
DO NOT buy the logitch folio. 1) Keys started to come out after a year of usage, lost two keys already. 2) Ipad is tough to remove, the side bumper on the case has expanded (places where you would need to apply some pressure to remove te ipad) giving it a ugly uneven look. Now buying Magic Keyboard.
By far the best review I’ve seen. You hit the points that are important. I’m going to get the Logitech as it’s hands down better for typing experience, protection, versatility and price point. The only thing I don’t like, which you didn’t cover, is that the keyboard is flexible.
I just love your videos! They are clear, concise, and easy to follow and understand. I just bought the Logitech keyboard through your link based on your review. I didn't know you could use it as a case also, so now I don't have to buy a separate case. Thank You!
I wish folio touch had detachable keyboard. I mostly use just iPad and pencil so I don’t always need keyboard - possibility to easily take off iPad from case is a big advantage. Well, still waiting for perfect case + keeb + touchpad combo, because magic keyboard is way to expansive
Right now the Magic keyboard is $90 off at Costco and I heard its on sale at Amazon. As a keyboard I think the Logitech beats it, but being able to use the iPad as a tablet by pulling it off the magic keyboard is golden. Also the ability to charge while using the iPads USB C port for an accessory is a really big deal, to me anyway, and it was a prime motivator to finally drop the cash for the Magic keyboard, when it went on sale of course.
Hey, just wonder how it works if you're typing on your lap? I'm thinking about getting an ipad to do some school work on and for drawing. For work I'd need a keyboard and i wonder how stable is the logi keyboard when not on a flat surface? Can you use it comfortably when you have the keyboard on your lap? Or is it not very stable?
I know I’m WAY behind but, I just received my first Magic Keyboard today in the mail. I got a GREAT deal on one off eBay. I’m so far loving it. One option I found to “fix” the no case issue when it’s not in the keyboard case is to use the folio case that allows you to magnetize the iPad to it.
I have both the Logitech case and Apple’s. I used Logitech’s for awhile, but switched back to the Magic Keyboard. I couldn’t stand the, well, the stand. Having to flip out the stand just to have it stay upright sucked. With Apple’s you can pick it up like a laptop and set it just about anywhere you can a laptop. I love that Logitech’s protects all sides and that it detaches and you can use it with its stand, but I didn’t like actually using it with the keyboard. MOFT sells an add on to the Magic Keyboard called the Snap iPad case. It magnetically attaches to the case and has a place for the Apple Pencil, plus protects the iPad on two sides. I know it’s more money, but it’s perfect for me. I do wish the Magic Keyboard had a top row of utility keys like Logitech’s Folio. No Apple, going into the Command Center is not the same.
I was in between choosing the Folio Keyboard and Magic Keyboard for my iPad Pro. Besides the esthetic look of Magic Keyboard, it really doesn’t offer any protection especially when I’m constantly on the go. The price itself is a huge major no for me. Thank goodness I came across the Logitech Folio Touch which not just offers full protections and half the price of Magic Keyboard. Although attaching the Folio Keyboard it will make the iPad heavier but for the price point which offers so much more than the Magic Keyboard. I’m glad I made the right choice.
Look, I loved the Logitech case. I got one for my first iPad and another one for the iPad Pro. But let me tell you. It’s not worth it. The edges in my first case, as well as the parts next to the speakers, started stretching out. I though this was because maybe I had accidentally pulled on them, so when I got the second case (hitch is even thinner around the edges) I made sure not to touch them. Still, I had the same exact problem. It’s gotten so bad that one of the edges actually broke, and its stretching out to the point of showing the Inter parts of the case. I got the Logitech keyboard for the cheaper price, kickstand, and very importantly, protection. But if the edges are breaking they might as well not be there. I also checked on Reddit, and this has happened to an extent to so many people. Its ridiculous that a product this expensive breaks within less than a year of purchase, and although I checked and it has warranty, a replacement unit would have the same issue. The case also completely stopped working after the iOS 16 update, and as a student I can’t afford to not be able to write for a week. If you’re on a budget a mouse and a Bluetooth keyboard works wonders. I’ve been using them and it’s incredibly comfortable. I do give points to Logitech in that they have been able to give me a refund, since it has a 2 year warranty, but that’s all I can say about it. The case was really really good while it lasted, but it has no longevity. 2/10
I'm not interested in any of these two keyboards. TH-cam thinks I am, though. I use a cheap Bluetooth keyboard as an external keyboard. It's full size but compact enough to fit in my bag pack.
Does the Bluetooth have any effect on your battery? I have an iPad Pro 2nd gen & have the earlier Logitech Slim Combo, similar to the one here but without the track pad. It uses the smart connector & I don’t have to turn on Bluetooth. This particular iPad Pro seems to be a battery eater so the less I have to turn on Bluetooth the better. I really like the keyboard feel & it’s still going strong after 4 or 5 years.
To be honest, I dont know. I never used Bluetooth keyboard for long enough to notice. I dont use the tablet for work as much as I thought I would. Saying that, bluetooth is supposed to be a low power communication protocol, so I wouldnt call it a battery eater. The power probably goes to the application you use rather than the keyboard.
Flawless and extensive review. Well done!!! I have protested all things Logitech for some horrendous poor service decades ago. BUT, I may give them a try on this one. Otherwise, NEVER a Logitech fan because they don't stand behind their products, and would rather argue and fuss with a consumer than make any attempt to make someone happy. See how that played out for 20 years? Thank you sir! Great review, otherwise I would NEVER consider them.
Why pay more... You don’t!!! The Logitech in my opinion is a straight game changer for more than half the price, for me it’s a no brainier. And the smart choice for the average consumer pros - Build - Protection - Function Keys - Typing Experience - Usage options. Cons it is heavy in my opinion! Great work brother 👌🏾💯
This remains a good review in 2024. Just whipping through the checklist of every comparison point with an efficient and pleasant presentation. Thank you!
Fantastic review! I have an iPad Air 4 and after about a month and a half of use I’m in the market for a keyboard. I thought I’d still use my MacBook Pro 13-inch (2017) for typing intensive stuff, but the speed and convenience of the iPad Air 4 makes me want to type more with it! The LogiTech looks to be the one for me (I’m not interested in losing my Apple Pencil 👍🏾).
Thanks for the review! 1. Is the magic keyboard stable when typing fast? 2. Is the Logitech keyboard stable to type on in your lap or when laying down and having your lap? Higher?
Looking to this review i would like to say my point of view: a computer of course is something more powerfull (like an hp of 650$ of price) than an ipad air, but the most unconfortable thing about a computer is the versatility, because you can't take a computer for reading and sketching, like on an ipad, specially of last generation (the most similar to a computer until now), over the usual functions (mainly reading like an ebook, tuching the screen and writing with a magic pencil), so what i want to say is that is better the logitech keyboard, because you can always use all the previous fuctions at the same time, using it with more safety, instead of the magic keyboard, which transforms an ipad in a computer only... P. S., Very nice review!!
First time watching your channel. Man, this review was so pleasent to watch. I feel much more enlightened than before I watched it, it was very well structured and professionally put together (I really liked the brief summary/conclusion part at the end very much) - even the lighting/background music contributed to an overall pleasent viewing experience. Based on your review, I am going with the Logitech Folio. I think they are both super good looking, with the slight edge to the Apple keyboard from a purely design standpoint (as is often the case with Apple imo). However, the superb functionality of the Logitech definitely outweighs that in my perspective - also the extra protection for both the Apple Pencil as well as the iPad itself is a big plus. Having the pros and cons pointed out like you did in your video was very helpful, so thank you for that. Easiest subscription of my life btw.
Oh wow - kindest comment of the day - 🙏 So glad the video was helpful. I appreciate your time for both watching and leaving feedback. Welcome to the channel.
This video was a huge help. I’m heading off to college in less than a year and needed a keyboard to go along with my ipad. This video made the choice clear as day for a functional keyboard/case. Thanks so much!!!
Love the commentaries on your videos. You cover each point with great details which helps in deciding which product is the right one based on all of its features. Thank you much for sharing,
Simply explained, the Magic Keyboard is just meant for typing with a limited angle and does not provide protection. worst of all, if the case falls with the iPad, the Magic Keyboard, the magnets inside the case will be damaged. This will result in reduced grip on the iPad as well. I am not much of a Logitech Folio person, but if I ever chose a case between the two cases, I would definitely consider using Logitech as a brand of my choice.
Great review. I haven't purchased an iPad yet and am doing research. I was wondering about the Magic Keyboard and wasn't familiar with other options yet. This was timely and informative. After watching this, the Folio Touch would be the one I would lean toward. I liked the different modes like reading and drawing and typing. The benefits of the Magic Keyboard weren't strong enough to go that direction. And yay, save money! Love that part. Thanks again! Looking forward to watching more videos!
What is your preferred? You obviously have both. Magic keyboard looks nice but it’s pretty limited in what it does. I like to have multiple ways to fold it and be a case too. Logitech makes more sense despite the lack of usb-c on the magic keyboard. Your honest recommendation from a practical user.
@@MaiONerds The keyboard case works well, but it is definitely a bit heavy and takes up a lot of room when unfolded. I’m concerned that it might not fit on those flip down desks in some of my college’s classrooms.
@@TheLucidLuxray well good that our college is shut down for now 😂. I use a cheep blutooth keyboard from Amazon and a case called zugu (as an artist that case is the best)
@@MaiONerds I had to return my Logitech Folio Touch, as the trackpad is behaving erratically. I’m currently using the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio that I picked up at Target paired with a Logitech M590 mouse that I had kicking around. The Smart Keyboard Folio is far lighter, as it only adds half a pound to the iPad. It doesn’t provide much protection, though, so keep that in mind if you tend to be clumsy with your iPad.
I think for most people the Logitech Folio makes the most sense. It clearly has more functionality. Personally I returned my magic keyboard when I found it couldn't lie flat without being taken off the dock. That just makes absolutely no sense to me. However, for people that want that "dock-in wherever" experience the Magic Keyboard might be most suited. I can see some work flows where this would be better.
this is something i have been wondering about. the logitech is clearly the more practical option but i've owned two 3rd party keyboards before (one by logitech and one by belkin) and both failed to work smoothly on my iPad Air. so i'll probably be getting the magic keyboard. shame, really
@@mylifeasmanta does it do that after some use or like right from the get go? I got the magic keyboard but it doesn’t protect my iPad enough. Seeing this video makes me want to switch to Logitech but I am seeing comments about the Logitech having issues staying up to date with ios updates and re-thinking.
@@SummeRain783 i used bluetooth based logitech and belkin keyboards that just simply didn't work - the O, I, J, K and some other keys were muddled up so they actuallY moved the cursor around. i haven't tried the new logitech keyboards that use the smart connector. however, i'd gladly welcome side protection instead of magnetic cases (my 3 week old iPad Pro already has a dent in the top corner due to the smart folio case coming off).
@@SummeRain783 i suppose my personal tip would be to either get apple's own keyboards or third party ones that use the smart connector. did you find any damage on your iPad at the sides, or have any problems with it coming off the magic keyboard? cause i don't want any more dents and scuffs in mine
@@mylifeasmanta I actually googled some cases last night that goes with the magic keyboard. You can look them up or I can send you the link. That should help solve the problem with the dents. I just got the pro so no dents yet
7:58 when you fold back the folio keyboard does it still type from the keyboard when you have it in this position? i can imagine how frustrating that might be if i’m trying to hold it and it keeps typing from my fingers pressing on the keys because of the position that it’s in in your hands
My iPad Air and pencil 2 are on the way. I will be ordering the Logitech folio as well thanks to your review. The magic keyboard is a bit expensive for me and I don’t want to have to use a separate protective case for daily use. Thank you so much for all the helpful information. I kept seeing raving reviews about the magic keyboard and honestly thought it was the only seamlessly functioning option but thanks to this video and your must have accessories one I now know that this works just as seemlessly. Thank you.
Great review 👌 Actually I bought the third option for my Air 4 - the Zagg Pro Keys, because I dont really need a trackpad and it has advantages from this two - easy magnetic detachable keyboard and still full iPad protection due to 2in1 case.
Get the magic keyboard. It’s worth the price and it’s amazing. There’s one down side, you won’t want to use your iPad without it. If you can afford an iPad Pro the Apple keyboard shouldn’t be an issue.

I really like the Logitech combo. It’s nice being able to separate the keyboard and still have the awesome kickstand/flap on the back of the iPad.
Yes, but only in the "combo" version, right?

I have the Logitech one, there is a big disadvantage, it frequently lose compatibility with iPadOS upgrades, with iPadOS 14.0 I lost compatibility, until 14.2 came it worked again.
This is such an underrated yet equally important point. Thank you!
I constantly have to restart my iPad Pro because the onscreen keyboard pops up like my Folio isn’t connected even though I still can type on it. Is this part of the compatibility issue or would it be happening with the Magic keyboard too? Magic keyboard is now down to $199 thinking about switching.
@@RickCorp yes its happen for me too, when i updated to ipados 14.4
Up
@@fortunezworld6566 I tried that and I am still having the same issues of the software key popping up and blocking the screen.
Before i was pretty sold on the magic keyboard but now, I would definitely go for the Logitech, not only is it cheaper but versatility won for me
Based on your preference for durable hardware and efficient cooling solutions, I would recommend considering the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule. If apple had used the same key layout as Logitech it would have been perfect.
I think it would help
No 12keys More= 200€ more
Exactly!!!! Iove the apple keyboard. But missing media and funciton key is a PAIN.
and an slot for the apple pencil...
I hate the keyboard. I myself carry a seperate mechanical keyboard.
If you’re wondering about the trackpad of the Logitech it’s design is similar to older MacBooks
Correct - thank you for contributing!
Is that a good or bad thing?
Thanks man, I'm going with the Logitech plus apple pen. Way more bang for your buck and I honestly like the Folio better
I got my magic keyboard, iPad Pro 2020 and the Apple Pencil few months ago and there is nothing to complain about in my opinion 😄
👌🏽💕exactly
something to consider with magic keyboard (despite not having a function row). in day to day use, it puts the ipad closer to your hands while typing, this lets you interact with the autocorrect touch row that lines the bottom of the screen. since most people leave this feature on, it makes it much easier to correct words that could be “slang” or jargon that autocorrect wants to change to something else. just something to consider. would’ve definitely liked a function row, but the track pad makes it simple to reach the control center

You have changed my mind to the Logitech after this. Deciding factor was being able to adjust the screen to use the pencil or read and the added protection. Thank you!

The review was very thorough, and I appreciated the sound test. I love the sound of my keyboard. Family doesn't appreciate the clicking sounds, but I prefer it as it makes me feel studious while working. The functions you highlighted sold me on what I was hesitatant to buy. This fit into what I was looking for; a partner or replacement for a laptop when I do not have the luxury of a desk.

which one u decide?
I can't believe that an iPad is a requirement, but the Logitech Crayon over the Apple Pencil seems like a smart choice! 😉
Good point
I just bought the iPad 4, the magic keyboard and the pencil...after watching this comparison, I think that you can’t go wrong with either one.
iPad 4???
@@mineshkutlerywala8530 Yes !!
Out of all the tech reviews I’ve watched you’ve got the best and most explaining ones!
I’m so glad they are helpful. Thank you for being part of the channel!
Nice. Do you know if the deal is still there?
I really enjoy your channel! Very informative and detailed! Also, I appreciate your speaking speed. It's not slow, not fast like other TH-camrs, but very comfortable for everyone to hear. I you tend to read and take notes on IPad, Magic Keyboard is the best. You can easily detach the iPad and read for hours. Logitech is difficult to detach and makes it heavy to hold.
I have both, I shifted recently from Logitech to Magic Keyboard.
And don’t fall into the trap of protection, when was the last time you carelessly handled expensive IPad?
i finally bought the Logitech Folio Touch for my ipad pro and i love it. thank you for your review.
Glad you're enjoying it!
Deciding factor for me is price here. If I prioritise, it would be Trackpad > versatility > Pencil protection
I just love your videos! They are clear, concise, and easy to follow and understand. I just bought the Logitech keyboard through your link based on your review. I didn't know you could use it as a case also, so now I don't have to buy a separate case. Thank You!

I just bought the iPad Air 5 and the folio before this review and I am so glad I did that know ! Amazing review
I just got a logi white keyboard and it works amazing on my ipad
CONGRATS!!! Glad you love it!
Long story short people, get the Logitech Folio Touch. Great video!!
Appreciate the feedback Michael. Thanks for being part of the channel!
I know I’m WAY behind but, I just received my first Magic Keyboard today in the mail. I got a GREAT deal on one off eBay. I’m so far loving it. One option I found to “fix” the no case issue when it’s not in the keyboard case is to use the folio case that allows you to magnetize the iPad to it.
good review i went for folio touch and love it great value for money
So glad you like it Gavin! Appreciate the feedback!
Is this compatible with iPad air 2nd gen?
My reason for watching is actually to watch post-purchased videos and determine that I made the right choice going with the Magic Keyboard

Tech gear talk has the best content 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Super appreciate your support 🙏🏻
Why do I watch reviews for products I already own
Logitech for functionality and protection also price. Thanks for a great review. Very useful.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate you being part of the channel!

I'm not interested in any of these two keyboards. TH-cam thinks I am, though. I use a cheap Bluetooth keyboard as an external keyboard. It's full size but compact enough to fit in my bag pack.
I use the logitech k830
Helpful review. I’m sold on the Logitech option due to the various modes for sketching, viewing content and the shortcut keys. Thank you for this 👍
Thank you for that comprehesive and clear review of those two keyboards. Very well done.

@@JapanPlayASMR yeah i think so
Why pay more...
Super appreciate the feedback 🙏 Agree with your assessment.
I have had both keyboards. My Apple keyboard never unpairs. The logictech unpairs often. So annoying! So I returned the logictech.
Oh wow, I never had that experience. Definitely sounds like you chose the better option for you.
I really appreciate you sharing your perspective - thank you foe being part of the channel 🙏🏻
Wow. Just looked on Amazon. Magic keyboard is on sale, same price as the Logitech. This changes things!
Yay thank you for this video i decided to buy the logi 😁 because it's protected all sides and ofcourse the price 👌

Oh wow - kindest comment of the day - 🙏

Great video! I went for the Logitech, which should arrive in a couple days.
Tell me about the weight!
@@MaiONerds I will in a couple of days, after the package quarantines in the basement.
My Logitech has been really buggy unfortunately. Otherwise it's been great when the trackpad actually worked
this is something i have been wondering about. the logitech is clearly the more practical option but i've owned two 3rd party keyboards before (one by logitech and one by belkin) and both failed to work smoothly on my iPad Air. so i'll probably be getting the magic keyboard. shame, really

7:58 when you fold back the folio keyboard does it still type from the keyboard when you have it in this position? i can imagine how frustrating that might be if i’m trying to hold it and it keeps typing from my fingers pressing on the keys because of the position that it’s in in your hands
It disables the keyboard

Great review 👌 Actually I bought the third option for my Air 4 - the Zagg Pro Keys, because I dont really need a trackpad and it has advantages from this two - easy magnetic detachable keyboard and still full iPad protection due to 2in1 case.
Get the magic keyboard. It’s worth the price and it’s amazing. There’s one down side, you won’t want to use your iPad without it. If you can afford an iPad Pro the Apple keyboard shouldn’t be an issue.
