I am from India and an R15 (version 2) rider. Its got about 17bhp and the bike is so much fun. The fit and build quality are great too. I love it. Looks awesome, goes fast enough for the city and easy handling. Cheers!
LOVE it! When all the other MotoVloggers are doing bigger, newer and more powerful bikes, this is refreshing! I just did a little review of my dads '91 Zephyr! Who needs cutting edge!?!
great video, nice to hear someone say something nice about the little yzf r125, i have ridden one for nearly 2 years and people on bigger bikes find it hard to take you seriously as a biker when you are on a 125, even if they are only on 250's themselves. BEST 125 on the market hands down!
I have been looking in to this bike for ages and you have basically sold me it having just completed my A1 in Scotland this is now the bike for me, Thanks
First time i saw this vid was about a year ago, i was just about to buy a motorcycle, later on i bought my beautiful R125 and in about 2 weeks im getting my A1 license.. Im so thrilled to be out on the road
I bet that bike is a blast in the city! When I had my cbr250r it was soooo much fun downtown, kinda miss that gas mileage now that I think about it... lol
Fantastic choice of bike. I absolutely loved mine! Better handling than both the Aprilia and the Honda though a bit slower due to more weight, drag and fatter tires.
ooooh am saving and almost there cant wait to pick up the same blue color as yours love them cant sleep thinking where i can get more money faster to get this baby
One of my first bikes was a Yammy TZR125, absolutely loved that bike, loads of fun and handled like a dream :-) A few years ago now, in fact about 26 years :-)
ive had this bike for 5 years in the uk and its a jem! u stick a good airfilter, exhaust and gear it up it will do 90mph flat out. plus playing catchup with big bikes is so much fun! still dream of getting an r6, next year! :D
I had a tuned 2003 Aprilia RS125.. Jim Lomas pipe, V Force 3 Reed Block, modded CDI unit, one or two other mods .Got clocked at around 116-117mph. Loved the little bike just as much as my Aprilia RS250 :-)
Heya Tom! Such a cool little bike and that graffiti wall section is amaaaazing! That was funny when you went in front of the girl taking the picture and were like, 'That's a good shot' hehe. Crackin' vid as usual! The 125 really does look like a little R6 at first glance. Odd that it's so tall but I guess it's got plenty of clearance as a little race bike. Nice white Elise there too!
RidingWithTom heheh ***** You guys are setting a trend to buy smaller bikes :) I was like jawdrop eyepop when spacep0d got his ninja 300.. but hey seems the fun hasn't gone down a bit :D
This video makes me miss Melbourne so much. I was studying there for just 1 year, but those roads you were roaming, I walked them almost everyday cause I was studying in RMIT. Thanks for the video :)
It would be a fun bike on a 50 mph back-road; you can blast all the way though the gears without going 150 mph into the rocks! You are scary in traffic though; no way I would trust other idiot drivers in traffic with their electronic distractions, and Gawd knows what med they are on. I'm just waiting for a driver to open their door when you are splitting lanes! Small bikes are tough and should get more respect; I started out on small bikes way back in the '60s and they were a lot of fun for young guys with not much money.
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!!! Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm new to motorcycling. When I saw the 2013 Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2. I bought it.Absolutely love it. Perfect bike for anyone.Especially new riders. 😊
Thanks for doing this video, mate! I m considering getting one second handed as well.. I ve had a Ninja 250 and bigger bikes and 6 months ago I ve moved to France. I think I m gonna get one of those to finally get back to riding something.. you gotta love the small bikes
i have the same bike same year, love it, had it for 5 months waiting to pass my full test then maybe a r6 but still might keep this bike too as its that good in traffic and miles.
I'm 54, got my bike licence in 1983... and I've got one of these bikes. Thought it was the best looking bike I'd ever seen so bought it just on its looks alone. Originally I wanted a Vespa PX200 to cruise down to the local pie shop on but this little bike get even more attention. Little kids pointing to it as they walk past. Sports bike riders nodding to me as they pass in the opposite direction. Unlike the Honda Grom which has the same size engine, the YZF R125 has twice the power. And also unlike the Honda Grom where the novelty factor wears off within a very short time frame, this bike is a full sized motorcycle that you can take out on the highway, into the country. It's just the perfect motorcycle for anybody who can't help wanting to wrench around the throttle the whole time. Reminds me an Mazda MX-5 in that it's not about straight line speed or acceleration, that it's more about the handling, working through the gears. Or to quote 'Cheech and Chong' it's not how fast you can get there, it's about how cool you look getting there.
I'm 25, and I've never driven (or even been on) a motorcycle before. I've always had a car but I've recently moved to Norway, and thought I could get by on public transportation but it's not lived up to expectations. Cars are ridiculously expensive here, and traffic is bad in my city, so I was thinking about a motorcycle. Legally it needs to be 125cc, and this motorcycle is one of three which I wouldn't be embarrassed driving to work in. The price is alright too. Do you think it's too much to jump from "never driven a motorcycle" to this thing, like do I need to get a scooter first or something, or would it be just the same? I'm not looking to do super fancy tricks, just get from point A to point B without dying.
This would be perfect it has very little power, just enough for the city and you won't get into trouble on it. Just make sure to take a rider training course before so you can learn to ride on someone else's bike
When u said "ur jealous arent you", im jealous. im 14 and now i want this as my first bike and this is what my dad would let me ride. he says 300 is too much and he rode a 125 in the philippines. now i want this so i can ride :D
ahmed leo that cause almost all the States in the US are retarded as fuck to see that it is safer for motorcycle rider to ride between cars. i would still do it in any other state cause i see my life more importance then a stupid ticket. lol beside if i came to your state and got a ticket i would just not pay it and skip court date and just drive back to CA where i live lol
I used think the same , once I was riding between lanes around 30MPH and I hit some stupid fuck trying to cross the road and I fall and I hurt myself and the bike , now I don't do it now more with expansive 1000cc bike , here in texas most people have big trucks they don't really seen you and they don't give a shit about motorcycles so its not about the tickets my friend ;)
@13:25 I literally laughed so hard at this point ! This guys performance/presentation is highly refreshing ! Finally a motor vlogger who has a sense of humour :) #instantsub!
SlinKO PluSh A kawasaki H2R, i think this is a good bike im looking for one, a CBF125 in my country its almost the same price as a Wr125, Yzf R125, Cbr125
+Eggly Bagelface Get the 2015 Yamaha r3: Gear indicator, shift light, 42to 44hp 5 more than the ninja 300 also has a temperature gauge great for breaking in the engine (since you can't ride with cold piston rings)
Haha you haven't been to South Africa, here mini buses drive like its Bikes, they drive in between cars and yellow lines, on Gravel as well if there's traffic and no way to cut in.
I remember this. How did I not sub when I watched this last. Thank @danthetwowheeler for reminding me of this gem of a channel. Keep up the hard good work Tom 👊
Due to a new law in the Netherlands I have to ride a 125cc 11 kw for 2 years. Bought this bike, not sure if I ever want to sell it, it's just so much fun.
Yamaha are making some great bikes. I saw a batch of the new YZF125 in the showroom and they look so sharp and sporty, very desirable but dont overlook the other 125s in the Yamaha range, including the scooters...economical, durable, useful and fun.
I am impressed with your sentence where you say u wld be buying 10 sbks instead of a Aston Martin. That's the biker spirit.... Keep it up.. RIDE HARD RIDE SAFE.
Love that bike bro, she should love it. Funnest bike I ever owned...RGV 250 gamma,2 stroke(I lived in Japan at the time), 40 hp and weighed 160 kilos(guess) same gp riding position, great fun in town, and great in the mountians.Maxed it at 206kph on the Chuo expressway. So easy to ride. And a friend of mine has a Derbi 50cc I thought it was a 250 lol small bikes=good fun in town Thanks for the ride
"I would never sell the bmw" *gets stolen months later*
***** The same one
ToonedCBR he bought 2015 it's a lot diffrent and more powferful
OH! Nice still.

Yea imma do A1 if im 16 maybe
my knees hit the handlebars on turns when I tried the 125 sport bikes at the MSF course..lol
Thats because tall guys like you and me can't fit on those damn bikes hahahah.
I'm 4"s taller than you so I know that feel lol
RidingYamaha47 how tall are you in cm
BIG -B 193.04 cm.
RidingYamaha47 im 185
Pretty surprised at how good this bike looks. Also surprised it isn't hell to ride on the freeway
I'm going to read every English sentence with an Australian accent in my head now, mate.
I am from India and an R15 (version 2) rider. Its got about 17bhp and the bike is so much fun. The fit and build quality are great too. I love it. Looks awesome, goes fast enough for the city and easy handling. Cheers!

Finally, I wont be the only one dropping down 3 gears and revving the tits off to get an overtake.
Im riding a Yamaha TZR 50 because I can't get my motorcycle license yet. It's even worse for overtaking.
Alleen grotere carburateur. Nog steeds leuk zo'n brommer.
That alley way has a lot of spray paint
Reminds me of old Detroit. IDK. Why?
yeah i mean i wouldnt wanna take my bike down a quiet backend alleyway thats absolutely CAKED in graffiti
I have been looking in to this bike for ages and you have basically sold me it having just completed my A1 in Scotland this is now the bike for me, Thanks

R125 has an acclaimed 2.14l/100km in mixed riding with a 14l fuel tank that comes out at roughly 650 km/ tank which is fuckin insane
Guys move to america
Fantastic choice of bike. I absolutely loved mine! Better handling than both the Aprilia and the Honda though a bit slower due to more weight, drag and fatter tires.
Finally getting mine.... TOMORROW, so stoked.. Honestly cant wait to test it
Watched this review over and over before I got mine , was not disappointed and this review was spot on!
I can't believe the Baron actually sold his BMW... I will never forgive him!
Great video! :)
My 1st bike, loved it. I'm 6'2, and it was fine for me. Riding a Z1000sx (Ninja 1000) now. Which i'd kept this aswell!
You are by far the most fun to watch motovlogger i have ever had the pleasure of watching
this was the funniest thing ive seen all day, no lie. ive never seen someone so happy on a little 125. great vid bro
''I'd never sell the BMW''
Honda's probably laughing their way to the bank
His newest superbike pickup is a Honda.
I'm 17, and this is the motorbike I have. Great fun with my mates, and funny to see them making stops on their 2 strokes haha. Awesome vid!
i got the same absolutely love the thing, handles like a dream and just yeah great for a 17 year old like me and you. :P
How much is your insurance?
I love your reviews sir, it's what brought me to your channel in the first place. The R6 review that is!
What an awesome looking first bike! Perfect for the city. I weigh 55kg and managed to top speed 178 km/h on a Suzuki gsx250f across.
You made me buy this thing. Thanks for the good review :)
ooooh am saving and almost there cant wait to pick up the same blue color as yours love them cant sleep thinking where i can get more money faster to get this baby

Full credit to you for admitting it was too powerful for you, a lot of guys would have made up an excuse.
Full respect xx
One of my first bikes was a Yammy TZR125, absolutely loved that bike, loads of fun and handled like a dream :-)

You've got the right idea spacep0d, small bikes are the bomb!
the famous spacep0d. I am attempting your helmet mount this week. Btw, i"m on the 300 forum with you.
phatrides222000
Oh sweet! Yay for the 300 forum! :) Nice to see ya here.

I always knew a 125 would kick the arse of a GS
Probably a ktm to!
For a 125 they are gorgeous,
Can't wait I'm getting one of these next year in May after my birthday... Woop woop can't wait
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!!! Now that's what I'm talking about.

Correct progressive r125 --> ninja300 --> R6 o 636 --> s1000rr or zx10
Exactly the same for me!
Yamaha XJ6N --> S1000RR. I couldn't resist it :(.
If I ever meet a girl who rides I'm gonna wife her so hard.
Did u ever find one?
Yes did you find one finally?i would like to know too
Well?
My gf is learning now , bought a gn125

i have the same bike same year, love it, had it for 5 months waiting to pass my full test then maybe a r6 but still might keep this bike too as its that good in traffic and miles.
Thanks so much for the nice review! this makes me thinking about a 125. Great for in the city and cheap in fuel. and still alot of power
beautiful. looks good fun... and that ripping it ... thats how it should be ridden anyway .. high rpms :)
"Still got plenty of gears" :DD

I was learning on a 125 not too long ago, so much fun!
Tom, You are such a brilliant man to forget what everyone else says to get what you want. You're right, it is absolutely beautiful.
I'm getting this but in red 2014 should I sell it and get the 2016? As it has abs and I know your friend came off it as the brakes are to strong?
No point
You don't need ABS lmfao
Mind Faq i think its still the best thing to have
TROY You don't need it at all...
Don't get the ´16 version only because of ABS, because ABS is really not needed lol
Mind Faq i mean the new one has a diffrent red then the old i dont like it i like the old red so think ima stay with it
is it legal to ride like this between lanes in UK ? in Texas you get big ass ticket for that
Yes its legal in the UK but in case you couldn't tell, he's Australian. Also legal to lane split in California.
XxXTitsmcgeeXxX oh ok thanks , I assumed he is from UK coz he riding on the wrong side of the road :D
ahmed leo that cause almost all the States in the US are retarded as fuck to see that it is safer for motorcycle rider to ride between cars. i would still do it in any other state cause i see my life more importance then a stupid ticket. lol beside if i came to your state and got a ticket i would just not pay it and skip court date and just drive back to CA where i live lol

Personally, i'd buy a CBF125, and then save the money towards a bigger bike.

Great review Tom, thanks once again!
The best review on the web!
That bike is hot!! Even hotter now with a chick riding it!
Looks like downsized 2003 yzf r1 :)
Great review, I've laughed through it, love your style, keep it up! :D
Love my R125, such an amazing bike to learn on
7:20 46 oreo loops LOL my sides
You seem so suprised to have brembo brakes on a 125 yet my little 50cc sports scooter has brembo's lol.
Everything has brembos :D
+JeliLiam there're also low price brembos
It is great to see a review on this bike from you. I m buying this bike and you made me want it even more :)
Awesome job man! Hopefully she enjoys the ride!
cutting between cars like that is illegal is the US :(
Not in California ^ ^
Haha you haven't been to South Africa, here mini buses drive like its Bikes, they drive in between cars and yellow lines, on Gravel as well if there's traffic and no way to cut in.
ZeeDeeLicious im from SA to . . . :)

So nice you are so lucky. Love your vids and keep it up :)
Nice review ! I want one for a year to learn on before getting a 600 or something. Loved the little drag race 😁

I wish they had 125's like that in the US. I would get one in a heartbeat. It would be super handy for jamming around town with cheap gas.
those graffittis are awesome dude, that street is awesome
Yo that place where you are in the beginning looks sick !
