Thank you. Informative and insightful. Have my cbt next week and want a yamaha yzf. What do you think the average monthly finance repayment amount would be for this specific bike/model/year.
Is it possible to get a decent yzf for £100 per month or less
    Thanks.

£17 a month for insurance is a dream, currently paying £160 a month for mine

Also don’t forget that soon or later the fuel pump + fuel filter needs to replaced also fuel injector in total around : €50-70. ( about the fuel pump etc it’s like a Russian roulette, you can be lucky and never have to replace it or you will soon. ) lucky it’s not that hard or expensive 😊

Not forgetting that the chain gradually stretches and rusts then buying a new chain. And bobbins with paddock stand.

Yeah I've adjusted mine a few times over the years. Still on the same chain from 2018 though but it does like to rust nowadays. Will need a new one eventually.

Good video i would say the oil change has to be more often like 1k miles. However i noticed you seem to keep your revs down somewhat, so maybe 1800 is appropriate. I used to change the oil after winter. Crusing along in 5th gear at 30mph makes breaking in the wet risky, its really a 3rd gear job to bring in that engine breaking. Unless of course you have abs. My daughters 2009 doesnt have abs.

My 2012 doesn't have ABS either. They added it in 2014 on the gen 2.
I used to change oil at 1k as well but then found out it's meant to be 1800 miles. My last one was 900 miles ago, not sure I'll make it to 1800 Psychologically 😆

I'm 6'2" and 44 years old and I find them very comfortable. I occasionally get a bad back but that may just me my old injury.
For a Sportsbike riding position some of your weight is on your wrists but still more comfortable than my Daytona 675.

Short person here. I’m 5’5 and thinking about buying the yzf-r125. Should I be worried about the seat being too high?

      Potentially, Yes.
I'm 6' 2" but I have lent this bike out to 3 people, all of whom are noticeably shorter than me, and they had no issues but I don't know how tall they each are.
I'd suggest sitting on a YZF R125 if you can before you decide to buy one. It's the best way to get a proper feel for the bike.
